We stayed in this hotel during a long weekend trip to the East coast of Sicily. All I can say is the service was perfect, the hotel is well located and very stylish. The breakfast is good, the prices are reasonable!

The hotel is stuck between the coastal railroad and highway. In most rooms you do not hear the trains at all, but you might hear some cars when the windows are open.
Other than that there are only praises: The gardens and small pool are very relaxing, the views from the roof terrace to Mount Etna and along he coast are breathtaking, everything in the hotel is tastefully arranged, rooms are clean and comfortable.
Stay there when you want to explore the East coast between Taormina and Syracuse. Trains run frequently, so you do not need a car.

We spent our last night in Sicily at the Santa Caterina Hotel because it is an easy drive to Catania's airport and not right in Catania. We can't comment on breakfast because we had an early flight, but our dinner at their restaurant was very good the previous evening. Staff was helpful in getting our boarding passes printed and in helping us figure out the best route to the airport. The public places in the hotel are lovely, but our room needed some TLC. Wallpaper was peeling and some things in the bathroom (like the soap dish) were broken. Decor was not very up-to-date. We were not sorry to spend a night there, but for a 4 * hotel, it needs some maintenance. Luckily the food and staff helped to compensate for that.

Clean, pretty and better than the pictures made us expect. Nice and helpfull staff, and a very good restaurant. They server the best breakfast, fresh orangejuice, fresh fuit, fresh bread, a lot of healthy choices and some not as healthy.

The train and the road lie on both sides of the hotel, but didn`t dispurb us at all.

The hotel was a good place to see the sunrise lying in bed, very nice and romantic. A short walk from Acireale, and a good place to start and exlore the east of Sicily by car.
Recomend taking av walk down to Santa Caterina. Follow the road going south through the agricultural area and then the trail down to the sea, a 40 minutes walk from the hotel.

Nice, and calm pool area. We visited Sicily in september, a bit out of season, but got a great and relaxed experience with the best service.

We were sad to go home.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with see-view so your are sure to catch the sunrise.

My wife and I have just returned from this charming and lovely hotel, we booked direct with the hotel for a 7 night stay, a great price with breakfast plus 10% discount on all food and wine purchased at the lounge bar and in the restaurant.

The hotel is located a short walk to the centre of Acireale, next to a rail line and road, we were pleasantly surprised that we were not disturbed by any traffic noise. Our room which opened up to a lovely garden and patio with table and chairs, garden lounger which overlooked the sea. Our double room was fairly spacious and modern, very clean, sky television, room safe and mini bar, the shower room was spacious, very clean and modern and came with a selection of toiletries. A bonus with this hotel was that our bed linen was changed every other day, a nice touch.

The staff at this hotel deserve a pat on the back, they were all very charming, helpful, professional and courteous in particularly all the reception staff who loved to have a chat and spoke good English. The buffet breakfast is very continental, plentiful, great choice, healthy with freshly pressed orange juice. We used the hotel in-house very popular local restaurant on 3 nights, great service, the menu which was mainly Italian and the pasta dishes are highly recommended as was the vast selection of local wines and beers, all reasonably priced.

We had a lovely peaceful and outstanding stay at this charming hotel....thank you.
