We recently stayed in this hotel & had a very pleasant stay. The room was very comfortable & a good size, also the balcony was a good size. The only downside was that the air conditioning didn't come on till 5p.m & went off in the night , but as we were out every day this didn't present much of a problem for us. The food was very good & there was a very varied choice. There was a lovely very large swimming pool & plenty of sunbeds. The beach was stoney & not good for swimming, but the pool was very good. Every night there was music & dancing & Hamid & his team made everyone feel very welcome. The resort is quite isolated so if you want to venture out you need a car.
All in all a very pleasant stay.

Room Tip: Facing sea or garden both are good

We spent 5 few days in the resort with friends, and enjoyed overall the time and the service. It is a good resort, yet with some limitations.

Positive:
* spacious and clean rooms, good beds ensure you can sleep and relax very well
* good breakfast, nice selection of pastry, and comfortable atmosphere
* resort with a good selection of facilities to spend quality time (Spa, snooker table, movies, restaurant, little shop, greenfield for kids to play, many sunloungers)

On the "but" side:
* big pool - yet only limited fun for kids, as no diving allowed, no water slide or diving board. And actually no real fun for swimmers, as there are no lanes for swimming. So overall - good for relaxing, but not much more.
* many chairs for sun-bathing, but for the swim towels you are charged extra. Why?
* Wi-Fi access available - but only in the lobby. I expect this to be available in all rooms
* good breakfast, but almost no fresh fruits
* beach available - but stones beach only, no sand, so it is nothing for children. And during the entire stay it was not allowed to swim in the sea. I understand the need to protect the customer from the risk of injury, yet for me it limited my fun a lot
* quiet location - but you need a rental car to get to interesting places. There is only bus connection a day each to Palermo or Cefalú, otherwise expensive taxi. No chance to go for a nice walk in the evening. You need to stay at the resort, what is a nice place to be, no doubt, but feels a little trapped.
* some playground facilities for kids - but all rather old and not attractive
* as the beach is nearby, it is convenient for a walk. Yet in the night, stray dogs appeared, limiting significantly the joy of listening to the sea waves.

So my recommendation is:
if you look for a calm stay at a resort, with good food and nice rooms, and do not need an extensive infrastructure close-by, it is a good place for ca1 week of stay without kids.

The rooms were clean and spacious, the view is better if you face the beach but the other side is also nice. The gardens and private beach are wonderfull, Don't miss the sunset on the beach !!

Staff are nice and helpfull, WIFI is free in the lobby.

Food is very diverse and there's plenty of choice. We had huge breakfasts and dinners there, tons of tasty food. The cakes are beautiful but too sweet for my taste, get small portions :-)
It's in the middle of nowhere so there is really no other option.

We had a wonderful time in Acacia Resort.
We've been there between the 11th and the 18th July 2012 for our second time, and as the year before we were very happy.
The various gardens were beautiful, the swimming pool very clean, as well as our bungalow, the food was delicious and plentiful, and finally, the staff was very kind and polite.
Waiters and stewards in the restaurant were also very helpful.
All the animation team, such as, Vince, Hamid, Bea, Roberta, Sabrina, Pipo... was excellent.
As for the Mini Club, it was the cherry on the cake, Giuseppe and his team don't only keep a distant eye on the children -as this happens sometimes in other hotels-. A whole dedicated team make the children very busy and happy by entertaining them with great ideas, games, compositions...
Actually, we've been to many places and many countries, but the Acacia Resort mini club remains the very best.
For all that, this resort appears as very complete by his comfort, his services, his staff, his cleanness, his food (the kitchen is under camera and all customers can see the chefs preparing the dishes in professional and over clean manner)...
Lastly, the beauty of this hotel is such a Wonder that Acacia Resort could also have been called The Suspended Gardens of Babylone.

The first thing that catches the eye when you enter Acacia Resort is the large and well decorated lobby. There is a free internet table, with a password given by the reception as well as Wi-Fi access. If one is tired from a full day activity there is an electric massage armchair operated by a 1 Euro coin. The rooms have a double bed and some of them (like mine) has also another single bed. Each room has a porch with a table and a view to the mountains or the sea-shore. The dining room is large with a variety of delicious food, and the evening dinner is really 25 Eur worth.
The hotel swimming pool is large, although quite shallow in some places, so swimming "for sports" is not easy. The seashore is nearby and in the evening one can watch a dramatic sunset over the mountains. The hotel bar is not a suitable alternative for lunch or dinner since they take about 3.5 Euros for something they call "a toast" but actually is 2 bread slices with a little ham and an olive for decoration. I did not try the spirits, but it seems that this part is stronger.
The major problem of the hotel is that you must have a car to reach tourist attractions or you can join organized trips that collect people from the hotel. IF one is bored the TV has at least 2 English speaking channels and many more. Major newspapers are available in the hotel store.

Room Tip: Ask for a room from which the train nearby is not heard.

What a delightfully elegant hotel - the public spaces, the pool area, the dining room and terraces - light and airy, with that tell-tale Italian elegance (I offered to buy some of the expresso cups!!). So how come it's marooned in the middle of nowhere?

Room Tip: Choose the higher floors to get the best of the coastal panorama

We have just returned home from the Acacia Resort hotel, and were very impressed indeed. Excellent food, wonderful gardens, and superb service made this a holiday to remember.

The extensive gardens, pools and private beach were easily the best that we have seen at a four-star hotel, and much better than the surroundings of at least one mainland Italian five-star hotel. The garden and pool lighting at night was spectacular, and it was so enjoyable to be able to take quiet after-dinner stroll in such beautiful surroundings. Our room was a little smaller than we would have liked, but very comfortable, quiet, and with a balcony overlooking the gardens.

The food was very good - particularly the dinners. I would agree with some other reviewers that there is room for improvement on the breakfasts, but this is only a very minor criticism, and did not detract from our stay. We got around the issue of water that was not always hot enough to infuse tea by warming up the teacups first!

The location of the hotel suited us very well as we had hired a car. If you did not have a car, you would be relying on shuttle buses, taxis, and organised coach trips - this might be an issue for some, but since the hotel facilities are so comprehensive and so good it is probably manageable with a little planning. In general, we found that the Cefalu area was very attractive, interesting, and not over-priced.

The only regret that we had was that we only had 1 week. Thank you very much to all the staff at the Acacia Park Resort - we had a wonderful time!
