I don’t understand why this cafe is so over rated. It is just an average cafe and i didn’t find it particularly friendly. The caffe granita was average - nothing special apart from the price. Was charged 5 euros for a granita today and 1.70 for a small brioche. Plus 2 euros service charge. So come on those who think this cafe is top notch. 8 euros for a granita with small blob a cream and a average brioche is well over the top!!
You can get much better down the street. Noto is nice but the Main Street is a tourist trap at certain places like Caffe Sicily. I had exactly the same 50 yards away the other day and paid 3.50. And over in the beautiful Ortigia where I live, you can get far better in the ultra friendly market cafe , with much more cream, and a bigger brioche and friendly waitresses for just 3.50 euros. My advice is stay away, and leave it to the stupid tourists who want to be seen eating there.
Not worth a visit unless you are a sucker for Sicilian cakes, which looked very nice, though didn’t dare ask the price.
