Our sixth visit, three in summer for hiking and 3 ski holidays. So why do we return time and time again.
1) As you enter through the automatic doors you are greeted by a wonderful ambience.
2) The reception staff welcome immediately makes you feel at home.
3) The room is immaculately clean and presented to a high standard.
4) The hotel credit card is excellent for making purchases at the bar etc.
5) Dinner is a gastronomic delight. The buffet in respect of quantity and choice is to a very high standard.
6) When it comes to skiing the SKIBUS service to and from the hotel and cable car takes 5 minutes and you never wait long.
7) A very helpful and friendly ski hire shop only 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
8) Depending on your hotel room you will receive a heated locker at the end of the piste which means you don't have bring skis and boots back to the hotel each evening.
9) Returning from skiing an array of tea and cake ready and waiting for you in the hotel.
10) A superb pool and spa facility in the hotel ready and waiting to relax and refresh you after your hiking or skiing
11) However in addition to all that it is the welcome from Alfredo, his mother Mama Gina and all the staff that make the Palace Ravelli a very special place to stay. Why would anyone want to go anywhere else?

Room Tip: The new rooms at the back of the hotel are quiet and to an even higher standard.

This hotel has one more star than the Sporting Ravelli hotel, This hotel exudes a little more class, the room for 2 people was not so spacious but ultimately it is still only for sleeping. very friendly staff at this hotel.

The breakfast is buffet style and dinner will be served according to the menu card where you have a choice of several appetisers, entrees and desserts

Here is an extensive spa equipped with two saunas, steam bath, massage room, swimming pool and etc..

For the gondolas, you have to take the bus to Hotel Sporting Ravelli (only 5 minutes on the bus). Apres ski can also hold at this hotel until the bus comes back.

We stayed in Palace Ravelli for a ski vacation in early February. This was our second time in this hotel and we still liked it. This hotel is definitely on my list of best hotels that I have stayed in.

The hotel is located by the main road going through Mezzana. The ski lift in Marilleva is a couple of kilometers away but there is a free ski bus service going every 15 minutes or so that stops in front of the hotel.

We stayed in a (junior) suite that was spacious and had practical layout and furniture including plenty of closet space. The bed was big and comfortable although a bit hard compared to what we are used to. The bathroom was big and had a massage shower. The room was above the pool area and the bubbling of the whirlpool could be heard in the room but it was not disturbing, especially because the pool area is closed after dinner time. The suite accommodation included complementary water and soft drinks from minibar which was nice.

The sauna and pool areas are nice and were not crowded during our stay. Sauna and whirlpool is just what you need for relaxing after a day of skiing.

Food in the restaurant is somewhat basic (certainly compared to some other Italian hotels) but tasty. The starter buffet on dinner deserves a special mention as that goes far beyond the usual salad buffet that you find in ski resort hotels. There are cold meats, seafood, soups and other things in addition to the usual salads and bread. Dinner is usually a set menu with a few different options to choose from but it is also possible to get something outside the menu if the choices are not really your favorites (and the manager is keen to suggest nice alternatives if you ask).

The bar is small but very cosy and we went there for a drink on most days after coming back from skiing.

But by far the biggest asset of this place is the staff and their service attitude. Everyone here makes you feel welcome right from when you come in all the way to checkout. Alfredo Ravelli (the manager) himself is a great host and it seems he is hiring similar personalities to his staff. The fact that there are a lot of repeat customers also says people are getting what they want here.

Room Tip: The hotel is located by a main road so rooms on the back side are likely more quiet.

I have been in Palace Ravelli for 10 years, I remember how thinks changes, how Hotel become bigger more luxurious. Ravelli means family atmosphere, luxury, relax. The quality of the food is incredible. Chief makes very good work. level of restaurant is hilarious. Room service is perfect. If you need relax after skiing you can use swimming pool, spa and others. Manager of the hotel mr Ravelli is so helpful person. If you met him once you will remember him for all your life. Nice personel.
