This was a restaurant we had wanted to try, as it is along the main street (via Novembre) of our little town in San Casciano in Val de Pesa where we were staying a month. They seemed happy to see us initially, yet when we inquired about the open table in the front outside along the street, he offered the garden in the back. It was essentially empty but a table of 4 Americans. It was buggy and undesirable. It seemed that being American and (possibly) having our middle-school aged sons may have had something to do with our placement. Feeling displaced and unwelcomed, we decided to leave before ordering. As we left, they offered the table out front - which we kindly declined.
