“Good food but left a "fake" feeling”
Reviewed 6 October 2013

Definitely a very good Italian restaurant but the owners try too hard to create a stereotype sort of Italian atmosphere, which is not suitable to this little village. Also more expensive than the other comparable restaurants in the village.

First of all many thanks for yr review, It's the first time (in our restaurant life) that i received similar comment, I accept yr comment and i apologies for the feeling that i've trasmitted you..but I'm not absolutely agree with the term "fake" .. i am and we are (our team) as I am and we are!!!..it 'is not our intention to give you different atmosphere but only good food and professionality! Believe us should be to much hard if we have to study also how transmit also the atomosphere ecc ecc We recognise in the same time that we cannot like to every body!
Also for the price I'm not agree with you, it depend what you eat, the prices are indicated in the menu and you can eat in our restaurant from 19 euro until 60 euro ..and we are in line with the other restaurant that are serving HIGH QUALITY OF FOOD without comprimise!!

“Spectacular Service and Food”
Reviewed 5 October 2013

Our hotel highly recommended this restaurant and we now know why! Marco, the owner and chef, obviously cares very deeply and sincerely for every single guest he serves, and his love for and pride in his restaurant and his product is evident from our own experience at Cinque di Vino and from all the other glowing reviews on Tripadvisor. Marco's recommendations were spot on, from one course to the next and the wine. He not only greets the guests and personally waits on them, he then cooks all the meals! I had the best eggplant parmesian I think i ever had here! Marco even insisted on coming out from the kitchen to say goodnight to us as we left the restaurant. I can't give higher accolades than others have given, but I can tell anyone visiting San Casciano in Val di Pesa that a meal at Cinque di Vino is an absolute must! Many thanks and warm wishes to Marco and his excellent staff for a wonderful Tuscan experience!

“wow!”
Reviewed 28 September 2013

it is not the true tuscan decor of the restaurant and not the amazing food we had there that i would like to begin with- it is the absolute personal attention from marco, the chef and owner. we booked on line and corresponded with marco, explaining we are vegetarians. when we arrived at the restaurant he spotted us without being introduced. he immediately took the time to explain what he had prepared for us and the dishes were just incredibly tasty. we had pasta with truffles, lasagna and eggplant parmesan and the appetizers were creative and mouth watering. he treated us with dessert wine and fantastic cakes. it felt like we stepped into his house and were his private guests. this is the experience i heard about and wanted to have in tuscany. marco expected us and though it is a meat restaurant he was so welcoming and accomodating to our needs. grazie mille!

“Excellent!”
Reviewed 21 September 2013

We were brought to this amazing restaurant by our friend Eugene Martinez of Ars Opulenta (fabulous tour guide!) We just arrived in Florence earlier that day from Sicily and we were tired from our 2 weeks of travel, but we were looking forward to once-again experiencing amazing Tuscan food. WOW! This place woke us up and threw us into a state of euphoria! We almost ordered everything on the menu and my husband ate the most delicious, and biggest steak I've ever seen!! The owner, Marco, was very kind and caring. It was one of my favorite meals ever!

“Simply the best”
Reviewed 20 September 2013

By far the best meal I have had in Italy. Marco, the proprietor and head chef, made us feel special and very welcome. We visited the restaurant on Wednesday for lunch and were so impressed we booked there for dinner in the evening. I would give this restaurant the highest of recommendations and urge anyone visiting San Casciano to eat here.
