“a refined & relaxed atmosphere in a unique one of kind place!”
Reviewed 19 March 2013

plus excellent cuisine, fresh TRUELY "km 0" ingredients, award winning wine and a small multitasking dedicated team provides all the elements necessary for a place that we can only recomend any season and both for lunch or dinner.
Upon entering , one is surrounded by a wonderful mix of the best aspects of present and past...not only the architecture of the place, but the estate wine & olive oil , the delicacies from the families estate gardens or even the dried pasta which the countess has produced to her specifications provide a perfect introduction and a true visual delight.
In the background, the entrance and a part of the cellars can be glimpsed (tours and tastings can be booked also) and provides an additional and indeliabile presence that underlines even more profoundly the heritage and tradition of the estate and the family who actively and dedicately have created this additional and relatively recent reality.

The menu is seasonal and based on a carefully selected choice of dishes, highlighting ingredients which almost always come either from the villa's property... or/and to local producers whenever possible. Delicacies which range from wild boar prociutto to zucchini blossoms to honey and nuances of a small selection of cheeses and ricotta that are truely one of kind.
This place is also unique in that it has no season or time of day where it is best appreciated or visited in our experiance.
Having enjoyed both several carefree (romantic)and breezy relaxed summer evenings in addition to several very successful winter buisiness lunches with foreign colleagues (who in turn have proclaimed it their favourite tuscan restaurant ) or a winter lunch with friends which successfully raised our spirits from the dark and deary rain outside!
During summer one sits outdoors with views into the chianti and generally (espeicially in the evening) the limited seats have been booked well in advance. In the winter , espeicially during the week the atmosphere is more private and calm and there is a little more time to underline and discuss the provenence of the ingredients or receipes and understand a little bit more in detail all the attention and care that is being dedicated daily by all involved.
Some receipes have been handed down in the family and others are traditional tuscan but revisited in a very respectful but delightfully fresh and imaginative manner.
Compliments to the chef also with how the menu selection and preperation has evolved over the past year or so, since during our recent visits we were even more convinced than we already were a year ago or so!
Last but FAR from least , and FUNDAMENTAL, the courteous, lowkey and sincere hospitality which we have been shown on each occasion and the dedication that one senses from the staff but in particular by sig.ra alessandra.

“Perfect Tuscan dining experience!”
Reviewed 26 March 2012

As I have stated in my general review of Villa le Corti, our experience in the estate's restaurant was sublime. The service was incredibly fast and our waitress was so helpful in assisting us make the difficult choice about what to order from the sumptuous menu! Our initial meal at the restaurant was SO good that we came back for dinner a few nights later. Whilst everything we ate was delicious, the highlights for us were the fennel, orange and pecorino cheese salad, the wild boar from the Corsini family’s other estate in Marsiliana and the tiramisu, which was the best, we had during our 1 month stay in Italy! Everything we ate was incredibly fresh as the menu is seasonal and most of the produce is organic. The value for money was excellent and we made the wise decision to stock up on the estate’s organic olive oil and several of their food products, which are also almost all organic, such as the truffle salt, the fig jam and the tomato sauce. We will definitely be back to enjoy the wonderful, authentic Tuscan food that Osteria del Principe offers!
