We didn't stay but ate here one evening while staying nearby. Slow service was off set by lovely surroundings and tasty dinner. All the hotel guests were gathered in the lobby for the wifi- SO time for the hotel to invest in a few internet wifi routers!! Lovely spot and a delightful place.

This was our third stay at the Villa Campestri. We had a fantastic welcome from Sandra at the front desk and found all the staff as helpful as ever.
We had a lovely junior suite on the top floor with amazing views over the park and valley.
The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom spacious and well equipped.
This hotel is unique and well worth visiting.
We can't keep away!!!

Campestri is set in stunning Tuscan countryside and provides a lovely peaceful spot for some R&R. Our huge bedroom was in a separate building to the main hotel and was beautifully authentically decorated whilst also being very comfortable and functional. Breakfast, snacks and evening meals at Campestri are, as you would expect, simple and awesome! So too is the service from the lovely ladies at reception during the day and the very friendly staff that look after the restaurant. The pool is lovely (a bit nippy but just what you need to cool off!) but I would say inaccessible if you are unsteady on your feet as it lies down a very steep slope from the hotel. The only disappointment was that the Campestri olive oil (that I was very much looking forward to) was only available to buy in very small cans and along with the other products at premium prices. Olive oil is better purchased direct from farms or even supermarkets in this area and all over Italy. Furthermore, the sample olive oil based products provided in the bathroom, which were great, didn't seem to be available for sale. The body lotion and conditioner were the only things that I might have been tempted to take away as a souvenir. Shame.

We arrived into Vicchio by train assuming we would be able to find a taxi. After realizing this wasn't so, we called the villa and they were quick to send a driver to pick us up. Had we known we would have pre arranged transport as it was offered by the resort at a reasonable cost.

The drive up to the resort was spectacular. The views from the resort across the valley are breath taking. Many walking and biking trails to explore.

Staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Dinner service is worth the price. Amazing views coupled with delicious meals that showcase the olive oils are fantastic.

A great experience overall. Highly recommended for a different experience in the Tuscany area.

The resort itself was beautiful, but the room we stayed was not.
We booked a twin bedroom, but they gave us a double bedroom with a couch sofa - and the quality of the couch sofa was so bad, and it also ruined the balance of whole room.
Bathroom was small and longish - and there was no light inside the shower, and no place to put towels???
The restaurant was normal - breakfast was good, but the dinner was little bit too authentic, unfamiliar taste.
It's a unique hotel with great location, but I felt the price is inappropriate for the quality and service of the hotel.

We arrived here for our honeymoon for 6 days prior to going to the Amalfi coast. Such a spectacular, calm and relaxing location; both the buildings and the grounds are wonderful. It is out of the way but close enough for local restaurants in Vicchio or Borgo San Lorenzo. Staff were exceptionally helpful and our room(47) was spectacular and discreet. The restaurant in the villa serves delicious hand made fresh food nightly and the wine is equally good, both in terms of selection and price. We also had a cookery course with the chef and had 3 hours of fun learning how to make a range of fresh pastas. The pool is large and calm, surrounded by olive groves and with a breathtaking view across the Mugello valley. Overall, it was a faultless start to our honeymoon.

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Campestri in May this year. The view into the valley is beautiful and just as we always imaged Tuscany to be! We are coming from a place where noises are everywhere, so we really appreciated the silence of this place. I'm sure we will come again.

Room Tip: We had a room with a nice roof terrace.
