“very nice hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 November 2013

I came across this hotel as it was part of a deal along with flights. I was certainly impressed with the entrance hall and even the very large sizes of the rooms. We were placed on the 8th floor and had no issue of road noise or even other customerz. The only downside of this hotel was the location. It is situated in an industrial estate meaning there are no pictureque views of verona. In order to save money on cabs, my partner and I ended up having tk try and figure out how the local buses worked as they never turned up whe they were supposex to. In terms of bus fares, for two people to lake garda it was 8e and to verona it was about 6.5e. The cost of a taxi from lake garda to bussolengo was 50e and from verona to bussolengo it was 26e. From the airport to the hotel it was 25-30e. Therefore not exactly closeby to anything worth seeing. The staff were very friendy and overall I waz very impressed with the hotel.

Room Tip: Request a toom near the top otherwise you will suffer with noise from cars. Also, ask for a double b...

Very nice, good size rooms, nice bathroom, good views, excellent wi-fi speeds,

Could do with more power points as only one at the desk into which the TV was plugged so couldn't charge phone/laptop and watch tv at same time……and no power points by bed to plug phone in overnight...only other power was in bathroom….

safe too small to fit laptop into…
Breakfast were generous but did not use their restaurant.
Local pizzeria (Pizzeria Alla Passeggiata) was excellent, as recommended by reception staff.

The 2 lifts can get very busy and slow, especially around breakfast time, so long waits.
Taxi to Arena / Fiera / airport will set you back aprx € 25-30 + tip
Plenty of parking so would suit those with own cars.
High room price reflected big trade fair in town....so at quieter times would be great value....

Rooms very large and comfortable. Very little noise from outside the room. Plenty of parking space. Breakfast room at the top of the hotel with panoramic views of the surrounding area breakfast a lot more comprehensive selection from your usual Italian hotel. Hotel recommended Fucina Restaurant round the corner which served excellent food in a pleasant surrounding. Hotel reception staff very helpful and hotel ideal for visiting Verona and Lake Garda

We had two rooms with doors between them. The rooms were very large with large beds. The bed was very hard. Wifi working good. There is enough space in parking. Breakfast was good. The staff in restaurant was unfriendly, during breakfast, big minus.

I say this for a number of reasons. The hotel is large, 144 rooms on 10 floors?, so no long corridors to walk. It is situated in the small town of Bussolengo some 16km from Verona. Access is easy from the nearby motorways. Facilities near the hotel are very limited or non existent, so after arriving at 20.15 my wife and I decided to eat in the hotel restaurant, a vast room. Only two other tables were occupied!. Somewhat daunting but a situation redeemed by excellent food and service. There was no buffet and dinner for two cost some 100 Euros - including wine and digestif.
The hotel really scores on the quality of the rooms, spacious with marble bathrooms and extremely quiet. No noise from either corridor or outside the hotel. Free wifi complemented a very low room rate.
Absolute value for money

Had to stay here due to our flight being cancelled- so we arrived by coaches, about 140 tired, grumpy and hungry in number. We were given a demo of how the room keys worked and checked in quickly & efficiently. We then had a buffet dinner-this was at 10.30pm! There was various hot and cold food and also wine- very welcome after waiting at the Departure Gate for4 hours.
Even though we were only at the hotel for 1 night, what I saw was a very clean, comfortable and spacious hotel. Our room was a twin, large, even though we wanted a double, but we're informed that's all they had left. Very understandable under the circumstances.
The breakfast was plentiful and varied- impressive as the hotel were not expecting so many guests for the morning. I think all the staff coped very well, especially the evening staff. They had probably set the dining room up for breakfast that evening and then had to set it up again after we had dined!!
The hotel is located close to the motorway and Verona though there didn't seem to be much around the area of the hotel.
I would definately recommend The Montresor Hotel.

Didn't plan on a visit to this hotel on the outskirts of Verona, but ended up here die to a flight cancellation.

There were around 150 guests arriving, late in the evening, tired, anxious and hungry.

- Reception -
They were prepared, they offered a key demonstration (it was unusual, but helpful). They took passports and issued keys. All in all each person was checked in within 2 minutes.

- Dinner -
It was quite an good buffet, offering a selection of starters, main courses (including two hot meats) and then there was a large selection of fruit and probably half a dozen desserts/cakes.
They served house wines and bottled water.

Breakfast and check out were similarly professionally handled.

The rooms in this hotel are quite large and my room featured both a bath and shower. Good beds, and very clean.

Very large roomy lobby, quite impressive for what is possibly a business hotel given the area and access to the motorway.

What impressed me most was the attitude of the check-in staff who were gracious and took the whole situation in their stride.

Service in the restaurant didn't suit some who didn't like being told we had to use a specific area of the restaurant, but that was a little unfair of folk since the hotel had accommodated us alongside their other guests, and had already set up for breakfast the following day.

Certainly made to to feel welcome and staff deserve that credit.

Room Tip: This hotel is not in central Verona, yet if you have a car I'd suggest you consider staying. Roo...
