“A highlight of our cycling tour”
Reviewed 6 August 2013

We made a cycling trip along river Adige from Brennero to Verona and the Villa tei Pini was our last stay. Though we were very late Elisa and her husband welcomed us as if we were old friends! We enjoyed the special atmosphere of this wonderful house and had a perfect breakfast in the garden. It's a pity that we had not more time to stay longer. Absolutely recommendable!

This is my second stay with Elisa, and it was just as wonderful as I remembered. Elisa is the perfect hostess, and her breakfasts in the garden/gazebo are simply scrumptious! If you are in this area don't hesitate to stay here...you will find beautiful accommodation and a hostess who will do everything to make your stay as enjoyable and interesting as it can be. Close to Verona, but without the hassle. I cannot recommend highly enough, and the surrounding Valpolicella area is a gourmet and wine lovers paradise! Enjoy!

We stayed here on a recent wine tasting trip partly with MMkoppes (see her review), partly alone. The villa is located in Domegliara, a small annex of Sant'Ambrogio (which makes the location somewhat less attractive). The villa itself is located in a quite large and secluded garden (for italian town standards) and quiet (even though the road in front has some traffic) with off street parking for your car. In the garden is a small patio area where breakfast is served on nicer days.

The B&B rooms are upstairs on a seperate hallway. (Downstairs is another hallway, the dining/breakfast room and a living room for the owners). The B&B rooms are nicely appointed, clean and a have a very good queen/king bed made out of 2 seperate beds fitted together, made up with a duvet (bigger than normally found in italy). Our room came with a (seperate) huge bathroom with jacuzzi and double basins!. The other B&B room has an en suite shower, in which our friends stayed.

The owners are very helpull, Lisa speaks very good English and French, her husband a lot less. They know about the local restaurants (and in Verona), as well as the tourist attractions and wines.

Breakfast is served daily with fresh juice, croissants and coffee, and of a high standard.

They let us store our wine purchases in their cellar and handed them over to our transport company after we already left (by plane). Thanks again!

We enjoyed a very good stay with only (minor) downsides: the already mentioned entry of the bathroom through the hallway (which can be awkward when other guests are around) and we had limited closet space, as they were mostly filled by the owners clothes. This made us feel somewhat "living in someone else's space"

Final note, the price is very good for what you get.

Room Tip: There is 1 room with en en suite shower, choose this one if that is essential for you. The room we h...

We stayed here on a recent wine tasting trip to the area. The accommodations were clean and comfortable, the villa itself was an enchanting building, the garden lovely, and the breakfast was fresh and very good. Our hosts had great recommendations for the area and spoke English well. They were also very helpful with the arrangements for the wine shipment. Thanks Elisa!

It was a perfect stay! The room was nice and clean, we had rich breakfasts with fresh juice and homemade cakes. The place is absolutely quite - birds singing, green garden, so much air, so nice sleeping. The train station is 10 min walking as the new thermal park Aquardens. A great pizzeria is nearby. Verona is in 15 min by train.
Elisa is so welcoming and so kind - she gave us lots of useful information, maps and several discount coupons.
We really felt like at home. Thank you very much, dear Elisa!

A lovely building, a fabulous host - thank you Elisa, great location, great price.

We stayed 4 nights whilst touring around Verona - Lake Garda - Valpolicella. This was a superbly located base for all of that.

Imagine a very full breakfast table on a garden terrace under a vine in a lovely peaceful garden.

Just perfect.

Room Tip: the room in the front is not en-suite but has a small balcony
