We stayed with the whole family (3 small kids and grandparents) for 10 days in the Vila Vita Parc and spent some wonderful days there.
The hotel parc is huge and beautiful, and even when there are many people, you don't have the impression that it is crowded. The people are super friendly, which made it heaven for the kids and for us too. You can choose from various restaurants in various styles (from the Michelin star Ocean restaurant to the Portuguese Adega), everyone has an individual children menu, and the service is perfect. The beach restaurant outside the resort is from the location, food and service even the best.
The rooms are nice, though our suite had only one small bathroom. The personnel all over the hotel resort are genuinely nice and helpful.
With all the amenities (kids club, spa, golf, tennis,…) you can spend wonderful holidays there.
The price is not cheap, but compared to other destinations such as Italy or Spain, you are getting real value for your money. We will be back.

Key positive points:
- we booked a Junior Suite Ocean View (was number 49) on the ground floor. The suite was beautiful and well furnished with elegance and style. There was a lot of room, it was important as we had our daughter (5) with us. There was also a coffee machine (Nespresso style), an electric kettle and free bottles of water each day. Moreover, the wifi was free (which is normally not the case in other 5*!!!)
- the infrastructure was beautiful with several pools and restaurants, wonderful gardens and fontains.
- the breakfast was just so impressive with a lot of food (sweets, ham, eggs, fish, fruits, large choice of breads (some changing every day)).
- the employees (reception, restaurants, pools, bars, beaches) were very polite and smiling and welcoming you, treating you like somebody special and important. They were all speaking several languages.
- our daughter received a very nice present (stuffed dog, pencils, picture book, cap).
- huge choice for children menus - healthy and flexible (easy to ask to change for vegetables instead of French fries) without additional cost.
- excellent food quality and presentation in the restaurants: 1) The Whale: Italian cuisine, pizza, pasta, fish of the day 2) Bela Vita: international fine cuisine 3) Adega: Portuguese cuisine, tapas, interesting discovery
- wonderful experience at the SPA with 2 Kanebo treatment during the last afternoon

Key negative points
- our suite was not well noise insulated => don't forget your earplugs
- excessive lights in the room, very difficult to adapt and the bulbs were the old ones (not really environmentally friendly!!)
- the woman in charge of the Boutique was really not helpful and not smiling
- 2 beaches: 1 in the hotel perimeter (nice, small, protected from the wing) and 1 where you have to take the hotel shuttle (very windy but where you can walk). There was no clear delimitation between the public area and the hotel one with local people laying in the hotel area.

This place should be the guide post for a 5-Star Beach Resort and a family with children. I visited with no children and never felt consumed with children despite the fact that they were as abundant as the ducks on the property.

All the food choices on the property were great. Frankly, we found the restaurant entitled "Aladdin" to be our best meal, despite it not being the most expensive.

Extremely accommodating staff. I found the resort tried to give the guests the feeling of 24 hour cruise ship service, without the fake factor. They succeeded - just a really great place.

Room Tip: They have so many options - be sure you call ahead

This is our fourth time at Vila Vita and I still love it, it's a wonderful place but there were just a couple of niggles this time but nothing that would put me off going back again.

We booked a four night package directly with the hotel that included airport pick ups and I e-mailed the hotel our flight details to guest services so I wasn't very happy when we got to Faro and there was no pick up waiting for us! I rang the hotel and they admitted that there was no transfer arranged, we got a taxi and they sorted out payment when we got there.

I love the moment when you walk through the doors at Vila Vita and sit on the balcony, you just relax!

We were with my parents in law so we booked a family room and a double bedroom in Oasis Park as you get a villa like house with the family room on the top floor and you can close the front door so it feels like a house. We stayed in one of these rooms on our initial visit four years ago and they are really starting to show their age. The bathrooms are not luxurious and feel very cramped, there was peeling paint in our bathroom and they really do need a refurbishment at this point. We had some nice champagne, fruit, sweets and water in our room to welcome us.

We had lunch outside at Adega and it was lovely, this is where Vila Vita comes into it's own, the staff are amazing and are a credit to the hotel, they are so warm and friendly.

We went to my favourite restaurant that night which is Aladdin Grill and the food was fantastic, service was a bit spotty in places and halfway through our meal, loud disco music started to vibrate upwards, I asked the waiter what was going on and he said there was a large private party downstairs, it wasn't ideal, so we finished up and left!

We spent the next day at the pool and it was lovely (but very cold as it was the end of April!), they have a nice pool bar which serves decent sandwiches and pizza and the service is spot on, plenty of sun loungers and room for the kids to play about.

We`also had dinner in Adega and that was again very good, we went to the Ocean one night and it was fantastic, the whole setting is wonderful and the food is sublime , its a wonderful experience.

As we were staying in Oasis Park and were having breakfast in the hotel we used the buggy service as my mother in law has mobility problems but it wasn't very good. In the past there have been numerous buggies and when you called them they would be with you within ten minutes but twice we had to wait at least thirty minutes which is just a bit too long!

The weather turned on the third day and it rained non stop, there isn't a lot to do once this happens, we used the indoor pool but you are quite restricted once the weather is bad.

We had dinner in the hotel on the last night and this was fantastic (but no record of our booking, this was something I had e-mailed them beforehand also).

Breakfast is as always wonderful, everything you could want and a station where you can request fresh eggs.

They have a great playground which my two children loved and we used the the mini golf which was a great hit!

We used the babysitting services twice and she was a lovely girl, I felt very comfortable leaving my children with her.

There are just a few things which need tweaking but nothing major, we love Vila Vita and will be back next year.

This place is really special. As soon as you drive through the gates a calm descends on you.Being a regular, the staff know my idiocincracies and are delighted to cater for them!
Check in seamless and then you are taken on a buggy to your room.
So who are the stars Mara my tidy upper is magnificent, ensuring my room is spotless.
Sasi, the Thai Masseuse knows how to get rid of those knots gently at first and deeper and deeper as the holiday goes on!
Jolita and Fransceco the guest relations are always happy and ensure everything runs smoothly.
The reception team are really efficient for booking restaurants, taxis etc.
It would be remise not to mention Sonia the reception director, who although always telling me how stressed she is,calmly makes certain all goes well!!!!!
Breakfast in the Altlantico is a haven of peace as this is for adults only.
The gym is well equipped and is good for burning those extra calories-Silvia is on hand to help if necessary and runs the classes.
The sun-loungers are comfortable so I can snore happily!
Turning to the evening Samuel is amazing in the bar, knowing your favourite drink and happy to spend time discussing the day and what your evening plans are.
The restaurants are an eclectic mix,the Ocean is michelin starred Manuela and Shide, are superb with friendly and professional service.Hans is an excellent chef who combine many flavours well.Occasionally some of these experiments do not work.
The Aladdin is a grill room, which needs to re-introduce flambes to add a sense of theatre. The head waiter in here needs to relax and smile more.I will not share my nick name for him!!!You will have to ask Fernando the F&B manager!!!
I adore the Atlantico where you dine alfresco and the menu includes flambe and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly.
The Adega is much improved.I always thought of it as a lunch time restaurant but it is lovely as the sun sets against the fountain. The Veal was excellent, and they were happy to make a bowl of Gazpacho(not on the menu!)
Is there any room for improvement?A lap top safe in the room would be an excellent addition.I lock mine in the safe by reception during the day.
Otherwise I cannot think of anything, except the odd guest who does not put their 'phone on silent when they are on the sun loungers.
If you wish you do not have to leave, but there are restaurants worth a trip out Vila Joya(I have written a separate review)
O Barradas for wonderful meat, and Jolita recommended a new restaurant In Algoz called Caluna Verde, which was fabulous. For pudding I had prickly pear ice cream which was amazing.
This is an ideal location for a relaxed and fun holiday

Just returned from this beautiful resort. Spent 3 nights here for a birthday treat and loved every minute of it. The service is excellent yet discreet, food outstanding (Adega, the Portugese restaurant is great), accomodation comfortable and catered to our every needs. Vila Vita Park, has got it just right. Special little touches that make it the perfect retreat for a relaxing weekend in the sun. I received complimentary champagne and a birthday cake and received an upgrade to an Ocean View suite in the Residence. One tip, pre-book the reataurants before your stay in high season as we couldn't get reservations in a couple of the restaurants for our chosen evening. Expensive, but worth every penny. We'll be back!

Hotel and grounds really nice-staff attitudes very good throughout. Not sure Portugese food really my favourite-too bland. Half board we could choose from 5 restaurants. Drinks a bit pricey-pint of lager and glass of fresh orange was 11 euros. Wine in the restaurants wasn't bad starting at about 17 euros per bottle. Very clean everywhere and it never seemed crowded-plenty of sun loungers with shade around. Will we go back-jury is still out at present
