Good is . . .
Location, grounds, environment and overall hotel buildings are cared for, wonderful and manicured.
The views and beach are the cherry on the cake, whilst stairs to beach are steep they are not long, and lounging on the beach and the sea makes a great change from the pools and gardens.
Even in August, the variety of spaces, restaurants and pool areas didn't leave you feeling swarmed by people; easy to relax and rest.
The gym and indoor pool are great to work off any energy and whilst smallish the gym was never packed and you could always come back and find a quieter slot.
Bar staff, front of house and reception staff brilliant; friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and happy...even when we asked to change rooms (we had a spate of children screaming on both sides and one who liked to look through our patio windows!) they found an alternate first floor room with no problem.
Food and choice we found to be very good although my wife does not eat every type of fish or red meat we found something at each of the restaurants.
Sommeliers very helpful and willing to share knowledge and help with choice of wine (see below about ordering it though!)

Odd is.....the restaurants because.....
Reception at every restaurant was haphazard, meaning when we got to the table we never felt staff were ready.
We had to ask for a drink we were never offered one which we would find usual when you are seated. Even true for water.
We had to ask for the wine menu....even on one night I ended up 'stealing' it on the way in to ensure we got it . . On some nights wine only arrived with the main course !
We always got bread/butter/olives . .usually before the menu...not a problem until you realise it's euro3 per person every time it lands. . It's not the price it's the principle here...let me order it if it's not complementary....it was very nice though !
The bill...if you don't mind a wait then fine...else ask for it when your plates are removed ;-) we left one night having asked for the bill 3times waiting 15minutes we left and told reception . . They lost out on desert/coffee/tip....we left having had a great meal diminished at the end...while the staff packed up or chatted at the till.
Now we did eat at 830/900pm and we were one of the last in every restaurant so that may be some reason for the situation, but not an excuse....neither are we alcoholics, but we have travelled and eaten in enough places to have an expectation....these are things that can be easily fixed to get the service equal to the food.

Vila Vita . . . We will be going again...but we will be armed with a knowledge on how the restaurants 'work' in the event the management team don't notice. . . . Thanks to all the staff who keep the place looking so wonderful, the folks in the main bar who can remember every drink you have and what you liked, the front of house team who just make it look easy and smooth, and the folks who endlessly produce great food.

Be aware there is not much apparently to walk to in the vicinity f you want a choice of restaurants or shopping...just a point of awareness rare than issue.

Room Tip: First floor main building(4th actually) means you don't get potential of folks looking in patio windows like those garden rooms on 3rd floor.

Upon arrival, we checked in and were welcomed by one of the manager/concierges, who spoke perfect English, gave us a 10 minute intro to the facility, and accompanied us to our rooms. That was a good sign. It is a 42 acre facility with 6 restaurants, but feels like a small hotel.

Private beach on premises surrounded by cliffs. Larger one a 5 minute ride away, also private, on a larger beach with restaurant.

Service sublime, what ever you want whenever you want. As could be expected, the only negative was the price. But hey, you know that going in.

Hotel has a Michelin 2 star restaurant on premises,. Full breakfast, which was included, could be had in one of two restaurants. My wife and I enjoyed the breafasts on a patio overlooking the ocean in the restaurant that DID NOT ALLOW CHILDREN under 12 in for breakfast! How civilized.

I would go back again in a heartbeat. Check out their website.

Great for couples and equally good for families.

It's no wonder we keep returning to this hotel. Rooms, facilities, service and staff friendliness are all of an exceptionally high standard. We always stay in rooms in the main hotel building and they are clean, bright and spacious. Very expensive but very exclusive in a lovely relaxed way. Very family friendly but not overrun with noisy children. Breakfast buffet a wonderful start to each day. Overall a terrific hotel for a weekend break or a long summer holiday. Unbeatable.

We recently got married at Vila Vita Parc (21st June 2012) and it was out of this world! The venue itself is incredible! It is a perfect venue in my eyes and each and everyone of our 62 Guests also agreed. They have not stopped talking about it since we got back! Not only is the venue amazing - with great views, waterfalls, a lake, bridges, great restuarants and terraces but the staff were so attentive. Thier service is second to none. The staff really do make Vila Vita Parc what it is. A special mention to Diana Costa who helped us organise our wedding there - she was incredible and made sure the day ran smoothly throughout.

As part of the wedding package (which was very reasonable given this is a 5star resort) we were given a room for myself and the bridesmaids to get ready in the morning of the wedding. We had the most incredible cake made by Vila Vita's pastry chef - the detail was incredible and it tasted delicous! Not once did a guests glass become empty - the drinks were topped up throughout the cocktail reception and all the way through dinner. The cake was brought in on a tray with fireworks and the celebration of this was immense - we had the staff singing and dancing with us prior to the cutting of the cake and they were amazing! From start to finish we were made to feel like stars by Vila Vita! We were offered a honeymoon suite as part of the package which was just incredible - it was huge and even had a private room top terrace with sun loungers and our own outdoor shower! The room itself was AMAZING and we even got a surprise gift given to us by the hotel!

If you are thinking of visiting Vila Vita - then DONT HESITATE AND BOOK NOW! It is the best venue we have ever stayed in and i couldnt rate it any higher! You will not be disappointed!
