Only 5 minutes walk from the Pestana Viking Hotel is this Chapel da Nostra Senhora da Rocha on end of the sandstone cliff. During the day not so many visitors on the rock, but at sunsets, you will meet here fishermen and tourists making photos. You can the interior of the chapel through the glass, but very old and nice azulejos make them very nice and attractive. White walls of the chapel are in hard contrast wit blue azulejos.Small and beautiful.

The old fisherman's chapel is a must see, you are so close it would be a shame not to make a quick stop. If you have more time the bar nearby is a great place for a sangria stop! Yum!!

This is A tiny chapel on the headland, with glass doors so you can see inside. It's the location rather than the chapel itself that's the draw here, or perhaps, for the fishermen who stand and fish from the promontory, the fish?

So close to bars & restaurants, but a world away. Very peaceful & timeless. Beautiful. Makes staying near by even more special.

Within 10 min walk from the Viking Hotel is this Chapel at the end of the cliffs. Local fishermen with rods busy. You can look into the chapel through the glass but there is no entry. Candles are lit outside by the locals. Very nice views of the sea and sandstone cliffs. The walls have seating and there is a large car park.
