I reccomend Garbi Costa Luz because is the kind of hotel which someone never wants to leave. Not only for the good food and excel·lent service but also for the stunning location: from my room I only could see the sea! Moreover, the rooms are big, clean and modern. I'm looking forward to go back to the great village of Conil and be as lucky as the last year to get a room in Garbi's Hotel.

We have decided to conclude our long trip trough Portugal and Andalusia in this hotel.
We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay!
Everything was just great! The hotel, the room, the personal, the swimming pool. I really advice you to try the buffet dinner that they serve, delicious and cheap! The guy, who always welcomes you with a "hola famillia" is very funny :)
I would really love to come back to Garbi hotel!

We were at the Garbi Hotel during the first two weeks of september. The weather was very good. The location is near to Atlantic Ocean which gave us the possibility to stay mostly on the beach. From the hotel it takes at least 30 minutes to the towncenter which offers good public transport to Jerez, Cadiz or even Tarifa. During our stay there were mostly Spanish people and families with kids: children friendly hotel. The Staff is friendly. From our room (with airconditioning) we could enjoy the view on the restaurant, pools, garden an the awesome ocean. Beware of the waves it is the Atlantic Ocean! The restaurant offers the posibility to eat outside. The food in the hotel is OK, but not always as what you would expect in a 4Star hotel. Dishes, forks, knives and spoons sometimes are unclean. At the reception they speak Spanish, English and German. Our conclusion : comfort, service and value for 3 Stars.

We stayed as a large group of friends with teenagers for a week .
we were for the most part given sea view rooms that we had not booked so that was excellent.
The hotel is lovely good buffet changed every night with really good service from the staff who all worked very hard. A nice pool which was never too busy as the predominantly Spanish clientele seemed to prefer the gorgeous beach.. We only realized at the end of the week that you could turn right at the path behind the hotel and access a lovely beach very easily down some stairs had been taking the long way round!!
The staff in the hotel were exemplary and really did make a huge effort to keep everyone happy even coming to check where we were when we turned up later than usual for dinner one evening as they had set up a terrace garden table especially for all 14 of us.
The rooms were great very comfortable with excellent air con.
Very Spanish which we all loved.
The hotel bar has a lovely outside terrace which we made good use of drinks at the hotel were very reasonable 1.50 euro for beer and 6.50 for a bottle of cava
We did a couple of trips out to both Cadiz and Verjer which the hotel was very well placed for and were both lovely to xisit

The teenagers did not find the night life to their taste but this was because the town is so lovely and Spanish that there are no bars etc catering for the British specifically not necessarily a bad thing!!!

all in all a lovely place to stay

We first visited this hotel in 2006 and loved the location and relaxed atmosphere so much we returned in 2007. We live in North Wales and enjoy the unspoilt beaches of Angelsey. We were, therefore, not disappointed with this location. The beaches are fabulous and stretch for miles. It can be windy but this makes for fun waves and body boarding for older children. This is our bucket and spade holiday with sun. The hotel and town of Conil de la Frontera are mainly frequented by Spanish and some German visitors. Not a British pub or Cafe in site. There are fantastic Spanish beach bars dotted along the beach and it is well worth having lunch in one of these. The hotel is built on top of a cliff and the beach is just a walk down a large flight of steps. The beach can be reached by road but it is the longer way around. The staff at the hotel were accommodating and friendly. We were even upgraded to a front sea view room on our second visit. This was a nice clean room and a real perk as it allowed us to enjoy a drink on the balcony whilst are 3 year old slept peacefully. The food at the hotel was good, not gourmet a la carte but varied and perfectly edible. There was entertainment on some evenings which started a little late for us with a tired 3 year old. There was a small children's club (free of charge) which was run by a lovely Danish girl and gave us some book reading time by the pool!! Conil de la Frontera is a 20 minute walk away. You can reach it by road but more pleasantly along the cliffs or beach. The beaches are busier at the weekends but they are so extensive it doesn't matter. In all a lovely part of Spain and will definately revisit. I would recommend this destination for those seeking a quiet holiday. If you like clubbing, the British pub/bar scene abroad then this is probably not the place for you!!

We loved the location of the hotel. Set on a cliff above a huge beach that stretches for miles with lovely fine sand. The sea can be a bit choppy though but my 4 year old was quite happy jumping over the waves and my 8 year ols loved trying to surf them.. There are a few restaurants nearby set on the beach and a great one in a harbour. The nearest town Conil has a fantastic Italien and bars with the best tapas but we did drive to most restaurants. Prices for meals are good as the area really attracts the Spanish. We were the only Brits in the hotel so really enjoyed being surrounded by Spanish holiday makers as they are lovely. Despite the hotel being full it was really quiet with plenty of space around the pool the only time it felt busy was at breakfast. Top tip ; book a table at the beach restaurant below the hotel for lunch and order anything - it is all delicious and so reasonable!

Stayed at the Garbi Costa Luz ffom the 7th September 07 for a 2 week stay,On arrival we were met by very friendly staff, our room was on the 3rd floor it had a lovley view from the balcony of the beach and Conil town. The room itself was of good size with 2 very comfy and very clean kingsized beds we could not fault the room or bathroom at all the were both spotlessly clean the towels and bedding were lovely and white and smelt very fresh. The pool area was of good size and had more than plenty of sunbeds there is a nice pool bar which serves some very tasty snacks (highly recommend the pizzas),from the pool bar you can get beach towels which you can replace daily these can only be used within the hotel and can not be taken to the beach. The beach is a couple of minutes stroll from the hotel down some steps it is a very long and very clean sandy beach, you can walk into Conil in about 20/25 minutes along the beach it is about the same distance if you walk along the road.We stayed half board and during our lovely 2 week stay we did not have a bad meal, there was a very good choice at breakfast and also at the evening meal. The only down side to this hotel is there are only 2 bars/restaurants and 1 small supermarket within a 5 minute stroll all the others are 20/25 minute walk away. however this will put us off coming to this great hotel again, if you want a beautiful, very clean, friendly hotel in a quite location I would highly recommend the Garbi Costa Luz. We travelled with Thomas Cook.
