“Excellent find”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 June 2011

A great hotel, fantastic breakfast, clean rooms with immaculate bathroom. Fantastic roof top terrace! Buffet breakfast was a realy treat, great variety of continental stuff, all fresh and spotlessly clean in the eating area. The hotel is in the centre of San Pedro, a 20 min walk to beach, 5 mins to bus stops. Taxi to Puerto B was really cheap (about 6euros) with taxi rank outside hotel. Fantastic supermarket next to hotel, wine for sale for 35cents for a litre box!! There are a couple of really nice little bars and restaurants not far from the hotel, the town has a Spanish feel. Great stay!

We called in without a reservation and we got a very warm welcome at the reception despite arriving at 1am in the morning!
The receptionist was lovely and very helpful; he also offered us a great rate!
The room we got was very spacious, had a great bathroom (massive and very clean, without a bath though) and a massive flat screen! :-) The only negative thing about it really was that the window gave onto the inside patio, which was not much of a patio...
The breakfast, including in the price, was just fantastic! So much choice, you fell overwhelmed really! Even had chocolate tart (was part of the breakfast buffet!).
We tried our luck at that particular hotel and it paid off!! :-)

Sometimes when you read the reviews on this site, you almost wish you hadn't. I don't know what people expect sometimes, I believe you get what you pay for.
I stayed here because I tagged along with my other half whilst he had business in the area. This hotel is clean, well run, and the staff happy and pleasant. Breakfast was simple yet plentiful, and fresh everyday.
It's located in a lovely small town with loads of shops, bars & restaurants. The beach is a brisk 15 minute walk away, and the taxi rank is right outside the front of the hotel. I would stay here again, no probs.

Nice city hotel, close to the "natives" and yet within walking distance of the beach. Clean, knowledgeable and friendly service. Great views from the terrace bar, that is mostly open during the Summer period.

I stayed at Cortijo Blanco at the beginning of June with my extended family. The rooms are somewhat basic, in that there's no hairdryer, coffee pot, 400 count sheets, etc. They are, however, extremely clean, as is the whole hotel and grounds.
We had three rooms in different locations on this large property - all had their own terrace and views over the pool or garden. Not at all noisy as I saw in some posts here.
There are three pools - 1 across the road at an annex, which we discovered by accident. Plenty of loungers around the pool there, but on grass, not paving. The children's pool seemed to have few lounge beds available as whole families put out their towels early. The main pool was busy, but we had to get out there by 9am if we wanted a lounger. Always plenty of regular seats in the plaza, for those who don't want to sit near the pool.
The food was ok, typical buffet style 3 star value. There was always something good, but the meat was often overdone. Plenty to chose from at all meals. The packed lunches were excellent. Really too much to eat and lots of variety. Drinks were flowing all day long - coffee, tea, alcohol and soft drinks.
Entertainment was very good most nights, though there were a couple of nights when it wasn't too much planned.
Easy access to Rhonda, Granada and other resorts along the coast. Parking is hard at this resort - very tight, often no room. No beach at this resort. Beachfront about 2 mins away and is very poor.
All in all we had a great time. Very good value for money.
