Beautiful cortijo with gorgeous rooms and an excellent restaurant to the north of Granada. The staff is so friendly and will make you feel at home right away. You will want to come back to stay here again!

We stayed for 6 nights in a large room which had a separate attached "children's room" with twin beds. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the Hotel was a real tonic. Limited wifi and no TVs was great as we talked, played cards and board games, read, and 'switched off'. Early evening glasses of wine outside looking at clear blue skies with no other buildings anyway near, with snow capped peaks in the distance was magical! I would give it 5 stars if the meals could be eaten earlier with a wider choice (morning and evening), and if the lighting and floor was improved in our room. I would welcome a chance to go back again.

The hospitality was excellent . You feel you are very special because the stuff is amazing and the owners too . The place is so gorgeous , the view is breath taking and the food is the best we had in Granada .
The rooms are beautiful ,they are so clean and staying in Cortijo del Marques was like a fairy tale ...

My boyfriend surprised me with a night in this beautiful hotel. When we arrived we were greeted by the friendliest staff, it was around lunchtime and they quickly asked us if we would like a tapas lunch by the pool. Lunch was delicious with everything being homemade and freshly prepared. Our room was simply stunning with views over the olive groves and a stand-alone bath. There are mountain bikes to hire, a really great way to take in the views and the surrounding area. If you did want to pop into Granada, it is only a 10 minute drive – very convenient!

Dinner started with drinks and nibbles on the terrace which was lovely and the 3 course meal was written on the chalk board in the restaurant for all to see which felt very rustic and charming. Breakfast was a buffet affair with delicious hams and cheeses too, well worth getting up for.

The Spanish charm really rubs off on you as the staff don’t rush you, you can just sit back and enjoy the wonderful views and tranquillity. I would recommend this hotel for a romantic getaway or a special occasion; it really is worth a visit!

Room Tip: Go for a room on the first floor to make the most of the views!

We turned down the best offer of 130 per night room that looked like it had not been redecorated since 1980 in a Granada centre hotel to find this absolute gem of a hotel. A really beautifully restored cortijo with its own pool and church! Amazingly, kind and generous staff. Great for families and couples wanting some quiet time. There is a long track to the hotel but it only gives you a feeling that you have left the crazy bustle of Granada centre behind and that you are going to spend the night in spectacular olive groves and mountain scenery. It is just 10 mins out of the centre by car so you even save money and stress on the tightly packed car parks. We stayed in December so just imagine how lush it will be in Summer. The pool and sunbathing area look great. Anyone who needs a wedding this is the place. I will be recommending this place to everyone.

Room Tip: All rooms excellent - lots of photos on the site.

Wonderful historic place to say with beautiful views in a rustic setting. The location is absolutely breathtaking.

It was also very easy to get into Granada from the hotel. The staff were great and we had a really fantastic restful stay. The food is a little bit hit and miss but you happily tolerate this given that everything else is very consistent. We went with a small child and found ourselves in a room (aljibes) which had a treacherous stone floor with bumps and foot deep holes. This was actually a really lovely room and the style works really well, but I would recommend anyone booking to check this before since other rooms are probably a bit more child-friendly!

We have just returned from 2 nights here. Wow what a beautiful place, but take a map as rather difficult to find and not on our sat naval. The most amazing views and great to just relax and rest. Our hosts were fantastic. Food was amazing and really reasonable at 25 euros for the set menu. Great position for Granada, or just to enjoy walking in the olive groves. Beautiful rustic rooms, comfortable bed. Bathroom was a little small and only a shower, but the review of the room had said that so we knew what we were getting. Too cold to use the pool but it looked lovely for the summer.
