Me and my friend booked a very last minute holiday to Ibiza, and struggled to find somewhere to stay. We considered Pikey Park, but soon realised we would not enjoy our stay there, after reading the reviews. We chose Manolita not really sure of what to expect. We were dropped at the end of the road and told to just walk straight, (by the airport shuttle)...we soon found Manolita Hostel, and were greeted by the lovely old man who co-owns it with his wife. He took our passports and showed us to our room. The room was very basic, as expected with a Hostel, but the sheets were clean, there was a bathroom, a balcony and mirror - all we needed. We stayed 3 nights in the hostel and had breakfast every morning. The breakfast was alternative! Toast, fruit, cereal, TEA, and crushed melon to spread on bread...but never the less, a meal is a meal in san antonio, and after a long night/morning of dancing, we needed anything to keep us going. The staff are excellent and stay up all night in the lobby, also, although the rooms are a little unsafe (the balcony doors are easily opened from the outside) we were assured by the old man that he watches from the street to make sure his guests are safe - which we saw him doing on our way home most nights. I'd recommend hiding any money/valuables in the room just incase, it's common knowledge that safety in san antonio is not a priority!! The hostel is within walking distance to the strip, very very handy, although i wouldn't recommend walking home at night if you're in a group of girls. The buses are nearby, down by the egg, again walking distance, but completely unreliable, i'd recommend spending the extra and getting a cab. There is a small beach near the hostel, very very small, which is where most locals go, the people of san antonio are nowhere to be seen in the daytime, so the beach is rarely over crowded. Value for money, and lots of availability. We were by far the youngest in the hostel, it's mainly spanish people of around 30/40, which made us feel safer than if we had stayed in pikey park. A good choice, and would recommend if you are on a budget, last minute, or would just rather spend your money on having a good time, as opposed to sleeping in style. A lovely little hostel. We had a great time.

There is a profusion of low cost hotels/hostels in San An and many are really to be avoided. However this is not one of them. Clean and tidy reasonably quiet and very welcoming. The place is family run and they are extremely helpful. Decent breakfast and so/so facilities. Inexpensive but definitely not like some of the shockers. We are returning this year so it can't be that bad :-)

All the rooms have a ceiling fan which is a bonus. The hotel is run by a great family that welcomed us and gave us loads of tips on places to see and things to do.
The breakfast is Spanish toast tomatoes and meat which I couldn't get enough of!
The rooms are very clean and you leave your key with the desk when you leave the hotel. Made us feel much safer about our rooms. There is a 24 hour desk and the smell from the flowers growing over the door and up the building added to the ambiance. I really can not recommend this hotel enough and I look forward to staying there again this season!!!
Close to the west end but far enough away not to be affected by the noise.

Room Tip: ALl the rooms are great!
