Just come back from staying here last week... We arrived late evening the staff were unwelcoming and told us nothing apart from our room number, The staff are rude the night man "Jaffa" is the rudest person I've met, aircon was blowing out hot air, even though it was €75 for the week, food was disgusting (pink chicken) and i also found a dead fly in my dinner one evening, the rooms smelt of damp, no room around the pool as they have 50 sunbeds for guests in which 50% of those were broken and last but not least I got mugged while I was sun bathing next to the pool, they were not helpful at all and didnt seem to care my whole bag had got stollen on there premises. I wouldn't recommend anybody to stay here! It shouldn't even deserve to be a 1* hotel!!

This our second visit to the Ses Savines we stayed from the 28th of June until today the 12th of July . Staff are excellent and like other reviewers we found that the hotel caters for a mixed clientele, and the hotel management could try to ensure that families and older holidaymakers are put on the same floor as we noted the noise and partying in rooms with 4 and 5 young boys or girls kept young kids awake and annoyed older residents . It is unfortunate but it is a holiday island and the young ones do not realise they are disturbing others,on this trip we found that the old habit has returned of claiming loungers at the pool by leaving towels on them before 8 o'clocking in the morning. Management have notices up but do nothing to stop this ,if you want a pool side lounger get up early. The bar staff and waiters are excellent Paco , Tomas , Emilio and Edwardo . Our maid cleaned our room daily .could not fault the staff .Food was great, wide choice and varied to suit all tastes. The hotel is in a prime site and on the beach and some rooms are small but if you get a room with a balcony with sea view it makes your holiday .We requested our room and the hotel try to cater for your needs but it is a busy hotel and if they can they will accommodate you. We would use the hotel again and I would contact the hotel before booking requesting the same room before going .Drawbacks having to pay for Wi Fi ,Kettle, Fridge and A/C .

PLEASE READ - I have just came back from a week at Ses Savines with my two friends, and found the service at this hotel disgusting! When arriving to our room, paid for a twin, we found ourselves being put in a single with a pop up bed shoved in front of the balcony door - when we asked reception about this they said there was nothing they could do and offered no other option or apology. As our hopes were still high we let this go, however we were proven how useless the staff were the second night when one of my friends got assaulted by another guest at the hotel. This idiotic guest firstly threw a chair over our balcony as he believed we were making noise (we were all asleep in the room and the noise was coming from down below), we went round and knocked on his door to 1.Return the chair and 2.Ask him what the hell he thought he was doing; to this he opened the door and slapped my friend across the face, stormed into our room to retrieve the chair then locked himself in his room. We automatically went straight to reception to find the security guard who was half asleep and would not listen to us, and the receptionist who was not sympathetic at all and said they could do nothing, we were furious and demanded to move rooms if they would not do anything with the other guest, to this they said they had nothing and only when we said we would sleep in the reception area as we did not feel safe next to a violent man who had already barged in our room; a room 'miraculously' became available. When arriving to reception in the morning, a new receptionist explained we had a warning which we would need to sign, outraged we refused to sign and wanted to see the manager to make a formal complaint, the warning was then immediately ripped up and she apologized. This was not good enough and we received false service the rest of the week - would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

Me and my girlfriend started at Ses Savines last summer - August 2014.
We're in our early to mid thirties and like to party. We stayed half board.
We found that the hotel was inhabited by all kinds of holiday makers: there were a few couples mostly youngish but also middle aged/and older, a few groups - normally small but no rowdy guys or thugs though. The age ranges were literally 5 to 70+. Most but not all staying at the hotel people were British, maybe 80%. The hotel mostly does a very good job of keeping all these different types of customer content, although we did hear one misery guts complaining that she's woken up at 11.30pm (lol!) because the girls are going out clubbing with high heels walking down the echoing corridors and the guys are talking on their way out at midnight! Now, I like a mixed customer base because it's a good balance and nicer when holidaying as a couple, but what anyone staying anywhere near San Antonio needs to appreciate is it's a lively, busy resort geared towards evening and nightlife! While this hotel is perfectly suitable for most families if you're the type of family that wants to be in bed at 10pm and doesn't like the distant sound of music and sight of neon lights and party goers then it really makes no sense staying in San Antonio! There are plenty of much quieter resorts throughout the island. It's a bit like staying in Central London if you have a phobia of buses and taxis!
Anyhow, the level of decor in our room was average, the bathroom was new and very nice indeed although I believe not all rooms had new bathrooms. Getting a room with a sunset view is a lottery and the staff do not appear willing to negotiate one you have been issued a room. The balcony facing inland (without a sunset) was nice and fairly big.
The dining hall is ok, a little bit dated but fine and reasonably clean. The food is ok - incredibly varied, almost entertaining to see what combinations of food they'll have at the buffet each evening! But there's plenty of choice and you'll be able to see which dishes are going to be more tasty. And there are some tasty ones! Eat as much as you like/can.
The staff are also varied, some are more friendly and helpful than others, but none that ruin your day to day experience.
The front pool area is very busy in the afternoon. There is a pool at the back that gets the sunshine in the morning, but we didn't spend much of our average mornings awake!
All-in-all is a very decent hotel for the money in a good location - probably a 10/15 minute walk to the West End along the promenade which is lively till just after midnight too. We would definitely stay again.

Me and my partner have just been to this hotel end june/early July. We are in our 30's so I was a bit worried about going to san Antonio with its clubby reputation, but we were just outside of the main area and close enough to walk in to enjoy some of the bars on the sea front in the evenings. The hotel is lovely, right on the beach and with a nice pool. We paid more for a sea view and it is worth it. Like most places you have to be up early to get a bed by the pool, but if you miss out you can also use the pool at the arenal and the beach is only a few metres from the hotel. Rooms were cleaned every day-every day fresh towels and bed sheets. Only strange thing is that our toilet window opened on to next doors balcony-we just kept it closed for the duration. We were half board-food was good with a nice selection, but we chose to eat out most nights as there are some nice places to eat around the bay. The hotel can be a little noisy at night, but that didn't bother us at all as we were prepared with ear plugs. Lastly there is entertainment shared with the arenal every night, we went to a few of these for a quiet night and enjoyed them. In all we enjoyed our stay.

We just spent 2 weeks in Hotel Ses savines. We are young tolerant couple (25 and 29 age) but this was the loudest hotel we have ever been to. Full of drunk scantily clad loud teenagers specialy in night time 9pm to 5am. Each night we had same problem around 10pm door started banging with shouting swearing and running on the corridor all night long. Receptionist couldn’t do anything with this situation.
Restaurant was clean staff really friendly but food was terrible same breakfast every day very poor variety also tasteless old and full of fat. Dinners were cold tasteless also poor variety of hot meals. worst tea coffe I have ever tried.
Hotel clean staff and friendly. Very small fusty room without basic equipment as hair dryer fridge and of course air con with you will have to pay cortune to get it. Beds instead of duvet we got piece of cloth.

Me and my boyfriend and 2 of our friends stayed here for 10 nights 22 june-2 July. After reading all the bad reviews we were worried it was going to be horrible but we was suprised. The hotel was very clean all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the top floor and we asked for sea view but we didn't get sea view but we still had a beautiful view of the mountins. They have mini gold and pool tables also which was good. We went half board so we had breakfast and tea and the food was lovely and had a good variety. We had a cleaner every day and had clean towels and bed sheets everyday!!! The beach is 30 seconds from the hotel and weather was beautiful. We will definitely be staying again would recommend to anyone staying in San Antonio Bay.
