Just got back from a weeks holiday with family first impressions was not to sure room was a little small we had a room with a pool and see view which was lovely except if you looked to the right it was a view of a building sight and cranes which was theme throughout San Antonio Bay, resort was quiet when we arrived but can imagine it to be very busy in peak season, rooms were serviced every day clean towels etc, food was really good but best to have when fresh, pool was lovely and clean and warm big pool was a little to deep even for adults, entertainment was good Enrique who was the entertainer was really good with the children, would go back to this hotel if wanted a holiday by the pool but not for you if you want a beach holiday as there is no beach we walked around 20 minutes to get to a beach and the sand was full of cigarette ends not good when children are playing in the sand. All in all had a great holiday.

Room Tip: Sea View rooms best as rooms on the front of the hotel can get noise from the local bars.

Stayed here 10-20th June on AI, 2adults and a 4yr old daughter,
Firstly the only bad thing that I can say about the hotel. After reading the reviews we had booked a standard room - 1 bed apartment, i emailed the hotel a few wks before and asked for some consideration to noise when appointing our room as we had a 4yr old, we had a reply saying that they could'nt guarantee anything but would try - fair enough. When we arrived we went to our room and we had been put slap bang in the middle of the complex, our balcony basically facing the entrance to Shooters bar - a late club! Request completely ignored I went down to reception to ask to be moved and was told that I had to upgrade to a seaview room at 14 euros per night (140 extra for the holiday) I didn't expect to get an upgrade but surely a room not so opposite the noise - no chance. Luckily the area wasn't too busy so after 12am it was tolerable, before this was bad karaoke which to be honest sounded like they were singing our balcony - badly!!

What made this worse was that we met another couple who asked to be moved after 3 days due to the noise and they were upgraded with no charge - so obviously not happy with that!

The bad out of the way now the good -
Staff amazing very happy and excellent at their jobs they work their butts off and the hotel is spotless. Room cleaned every day, towels changed I tipped as many of the staff as possible at the end of our stay.
Food - I am not a fussy eater in the slightest and as a family we thought the food was amazing - freshly cooked fish or minute steak every lunch and dinner with thin crust pizza, fresh cooked pasta dish and usually 3-4 other meat dishes. A couple of veggie dishes not to mention numerous cold pasta/ potato salad dishes as well. Veg and chips/ cooked potatoes of some description and to finish off amazing deserts - cake/ mousse/ ice cream and fruit. Breakfast was amazing choice as well. The local spirits weren't very strong in my opinion and although I like Estrella beer it gets a bit repetitive after a while but hey! Ice cream/ Lollies on tap helps with the kids!
Entertainment - Enrique (the only full time entertainer) was great with the kids and kept them occupied during the day, no real kids club but he makes up for it. Evening entertainment - again I thought this was ok but again repetitive ( if you are expecting scenes from the lion king musical then go 5 star)

All in all I would say a great hotel dropped in an area similar to blackpool in the sun - if you like that sort of thing - great, didn't bother us at all, loads for kids to do outside on the strip, and if you want somewhere a bit quieter to get the kids out of the sun there is a tapas bar 5 mins walk on the way to the water park called los alcos ( I think ) run by lovely family with toys and small soft play area.

I would say that the area could be a nightmare in school holidays - very busy and loud so if you want to sleep make sure you get a seaview room. nearest beaches aren't great either but the pool area is very good indeed.

Room Tip: If you want a nice meal and watch the sunset in the cafe mambo area go to savannahs amazing food, service and views but be prepared to pay!!!

Cleanliness was their priority. Towels and sheets changed every day even the shower curtain was changed mid week. Food was good something for everyone. Pool was great although a little deep at the shallow end as was almost 5ft deep. Plenty of sun beds. All the staff from reception to cleaners were extremely helpful and pleasant. Leo who works in the bar area was really nice he spoke to everyone and encouraged complete strangers to talk to each other. Try for upgraded room as rooms facing road can be noisy from the bars across the street.

Room Tip: Noisy rooms to the front facing bars

This was our first holiday in a 3 star hotel for many years so we weren't sure what to expect. I can only reiterate all the very positive comments already written by other reviewers. The rooms were well kept though rather dated, the towels and bed linen were changed daily. Even the shower curtain was changed regularly, something that hasn't happened in numerous 4 star hotels we have stayed in.
The food was tasty and varied although there was not always a vegetarian main course available. The soups were always hot and delicious, and the ice cream a daily must! The AI option was worth it. Leo, the young bar person was exceptionally friendly, as were all the staff.
The entertainment was as expected and of a reasonable standard. The singer/musicians were particularly good. The entertainment rep (Enrico, I think) worked tirelessly day and night. My only criticism would be that a stage or a small raised area would benefit all as it was sometimes difficult to see acts, notably the acrobats who were on on Saturday evening. A lot of their show was at floor level.
The pool was large and the whole pool area was well maintained with loads of comfy sunbeds. Inflatables were allowed in the pool which was a boon in the very hot weather.
All in all a great hotel. Unfortunately, the surrounding area is geared up to young people so although I can recommend the hotel, the area is not what I would go back to.

Lovely hotel and staff but it is too far from the Bay! We did walk it only one evening and had to get a taxi back.

Unfortunately, it is a bit of a building site with cranes, I think at least two in view, which as you can imagine, spoils the views. Also there is no beach, just rocks and shore.

The food is quite good. We managed to find something we all liked at each meal time. The entertainment was pretty non-existent, with only one person trying to do everything.

The internet was not very good either.

Couldn't fault the hotel in the cleanliness and the swimming pool was beautiful. We are a family of 4, 2 adults and a 14 and 12 year old.
