A lovely, clean, 3* (yes it's only 3* so don't go expecting 5*) hotel.
Food fab - my husband is very fussy and he did not go hungry, although we did hear people moaning about lack of choice - it's a 3* hotel, want more? Pay more in my opinion!
Fresh sheets and towels every day - can't ask more than that!
Pool - very clean and well kept, sun beds an issue when one particular family started sprinting to reserve beds. Wasn't an issue prior to their arrival! I would say plenty for everyone who wanted to use them at the time they were actually at the pool. What I mean is - lots were being reserved early morning, but people not actually sitting on them until hours and hours later - not good!
Entertainment - he did his best! But I personally would be happy with none. If bingo is what you're after - this is not your hotel!
Location - perfect! Far enough away from San Antonio but near enough if that's what you want.

All in all a good holiday which we (including girls aged 15/12) enjoyed. 2nd week cloudy so disappointed but hey that's out of all our control!!!!!

ON ARRIVAL:- Our first impressions was "oh no what have we booked" on check in the reception area was very dated, when we walked into our room just the same, it has a small kitchen area and a sofa which our son had to sleep on. We opened the balcony door, to a really area, to a beautiful sea view that we paid extra for which I would highly recommend doing as the rooms at the front of the hotel were quite noisy, but just to the right was a large crane which spoils it slightly. We just felt really disappointed. We unpacked went for lunch then to the pool. After a few hours our views changed slightly.
FOOD :- The food was lovely, there was lots of choice for breakfast, lunch and tea. If you missed breakfast there was a snack bar that offered breakfast choice if you missed lunch the snack bar offered burgers and hotdogs.
SUNBEDS :- Our first couple of days were really civilized, we could get a coffee and sit on the terrace until the pool attendant had finished then we could walk to get a bed, this soon changed when a family decided they would just walk to the top of the steps to run to get the bed they wanted it ended up been quite stressful for some. The people that ran for the beds and put the towels down would the leave and not return until the afternoon which left some people not getting a bed so left to go to the beach.
POOL:-The pool was lovely and clean as was the area. The pool attendants were ok but on one occasion really unfair. On the next to our last night 3am some family woke alot of the hotel up, caused damage in the room swearing and screaming on the balcony and throwing drinks over. The morning after when we were waiting to get beds the pool attendant let the family in to choose beds as it was one of there 18th birthday, blew balloons up for them and monitored the area. The place they took a disabled woman used to sit there as it was the only bit of shaded area around we were all appalled by this. They did actually get a warning and was told any more trouble and they were out.
ENTERTAINMENT:- This needs sorting out quick it was just one person working day and night 6 days a week, we felt for all inclusive this should have been of a higher standard.
DRINKS:- Lots to choose from with different cocktails every night. Last orders was 11pm and everything seemed to close not long after that, some people thought this was poor for all inclusive. There was some lovely bars around if you wanted to carry on drinking.
We did have a lovely holiday but went with another family which made a big difference and did meet some lovely people.

Room Tip: Would highly recommend paying extra for a sea view

We are just home from a week's holiday here. What a fantastic hotel. Everything was perfect. The room was spacious. We had a fab view of the pool and ocean. The hotel staff could not do enough for us. They were very pleasant and worked very hard at keeping a good standard in the hotel. Pool area and rooms cleaned thoroughly everyday. Food was lovely too. We just did bed and breakfast but all guests we spoke to doing the all inclusive were delighted. We will definitely return.

Room Tip: Pool view's are the nicest

Just arrived home after a week's stay, fab hotel. We had room 312, spotlessly clean. We landed lucky with a sea view, which was lovely.

Staff in this hotel are just outstanding, from cleaners, bar staff, restaurant to reception, so friendly and welcoming, especially the bar staff, special mention to Katy, who works in the pool bar, such a lovely lady. Food was fantastic, really the best All Inclusive I have had, great choice and loads, even the fussiest of eaters will find something. Pool area is kept spotless and a lovely, warm pool. Stayed here with my husband and 2 kids (14 and 11) and they had a blast. Enrique the Entertainment guy was so good with all the kids and throughout the day had them kept busy.

All in all would not hesitate to return to this hotel, just great.

We've just got back from a weeks stay at the Marvell and have had a great time. We went with family, friends and kids (youngest aged 15 months, eldest 7 years) who weren't bored for a minute!

The rooms were very basic, which is what we'd booked, and we were a bit surprised the sofa bed was a single not double as we'd assumed from the hotel details. It did mean the husband and I slept in separate rooms but that wasn't an issue. I had a twin room with my 5 year old and a cot bed had been provided for my toddler. Despite the basic set up of the room, it was really clean (the maids came once a day with fresh towels etc) and we had an OKish view of the pool.

The main pool was a great size (though very deep at the shallow end) and the baby pool was good for little ones. Again, all kept very clean. I'd not witnessed any of the sun lounger dashing I'd heard so much about, and there were always a few beds free. At the very end of the pool area, past the pool bar, it overlooked the sea which was a lovely view, but the gates to the sea edge were kept locked.

The food was very nice, and although a lot of it was similar day to day (things like the pasta salads, chips etc.) they did vary the main courses quite a lot. I can't complain about the food at all. The only downside was the drinks machines - the orange was incredibly strong and made from cordial, not fresh and the coffee was often like a giant cup of espresso! I do think the dinner on an evening should have been earlier though as 7.30 is quite late to eat when you have children, and with last orders being 11pm it doesn't give much time to sit and relax on an evening.

The evening entertainment was OK. The older kids seemed to enjoy Enrique's games, and we did get to enjoy a singer, magician, quiz and hypnotist over the week which were enough I think.

We went to the beach on one occasion (about 15-20 minute walk) which was lovely. The sea was very clear - we could watch the fish swimming underneath us, and the kids really enjoyed themselves.

Although we were all inclusive, we ventured out into San Antonio Bay a couple of times in the evening. It's definitely not the lively resort of San Antonio, and anyone thinking of going with children should go here. It's mainly restaurants and fun pubs - lots of entertainment for the kids. The nicest bar by far though had to be Kumharas. It's a lovely cocktail bar and restaurant over looking the beach that has a great atmosphere and has a few little stalls attached. It has a perfect view of the sunset.

While I probably wouldn't rush back to San Antonio Bay, as I feel it could be any typical Spanish seaside resort, I have absolutely no reservations in recommending Marvell Club Aparthotel for anyone thinking of going there.

Room Tip: Probably ask for a sea view on a high level.

Myself and my partner have just returned from a week's stay and we both really enjoyed it. The rooms were lovely and we didn't even have a sea view. They were cleaned everyday and even the rest of the hotel was very clean too. The food was excellent with plenty of choice, including a snack bar, and the location of the hotel itself was fantastic. It's a 10 minute walk to the water taxi (3 Euros) which will take you into San Antonio, but if you just want a few drinks locally then there are plenty of bars just outside the hotel. The hotel bar closes at 11, so we went out afterwards a few times during the week and we particularly enjoyed the Old Tavern. The only downside to the hotel was the entertainment. It wasn't too bad for the kids but the shows weren't very good during the evening and there wasn't anything during the daytime for the adults (apart from the odd game of water polo). The pool area was lovely, and there was always a sunbed available. The pool was great but was quite deep for the little ones in the shallow end so non-swimmers would need supervising. All the staff were really friendly and welcoming. This hotel is great for a relaxing holiday so I would definitely recommend it to couples and families, and for groups that want a mix of relaxation and nightlife.
