“Fab Holiday”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2011

This was the second time we've been to the Milord and the first time was 3 years ago for a week, this time we went back for 2 weeks and on both occasions the hotel did not disappoint. Firstly, I must say how immaculate the hotel is, the rooms, public toilets, surrounding gardens, everything was spotlessly clean, the maids came in to the room every day and cleaned leaving a gorgeous lemony fresh smell in the room. The food is lovely, good selection, not a lot for children but both my children aged 5 and 22 months always found something they liked. Couple of things we were disappointed with was the queues at the bar (as we were all inclusive we had to sign a receipt every time we ordered drinks which held everything up, didn't see the point of them) also ice lollys weren't part of the inclusive package, luckily they served slushes as part of all inclusive and my son really enjoyed those. You are also not allowed to use rubber rings etc in the pool, and can understand them not wanting them in the big pool due to it being dangerous but we were supervising our children in the little pool and felt that there shouldn't have been a problem with the kids having them as it's a good way to keep them entertained. The kids entertainment in the evening was excellent and my boys really enjoyed, we also really enjoyed the adult entertainment too. Also plenty of activities going on during the day so plenty to keep everyone entertained if they don't want to lay by the pool all day.
There's a ferry which costs 2.50euros, which leaves from right outside the hotel every half an hour, this is lovely and takes you over to San Antonio Town.
When we booked this holiday, we asked for a quiet room in case our children needed an early night and this is exactly what we got, we were given a room round the back of the hotel with a fantastic view of the sea and the Bay, on the 1 or 2 occasions that we went back to the room early we couldn't hear the entertainment at all. During the night we could hear the odd slamming door when groups of young people were coming home but they were pretty quiet all in all.
The 'strip' where the bars and restaurants are is a short walk away, we'd take a walk up there most evenings, it's lovely, not too busy and not too quiet with a mix of different things to do, there are karaoke bars, some bars for young people, plenty of shops and some family orientated bars too where you pay about 5 euros for your child to play in the play area and you can have a drink while you keep an eye on them, both my children loved it!
I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for families and couples who want a fairly quiet relaxing holiday but in a pretty central location, I would definitely go back again.

Me and my girlfriend stayed here just over a week ago and had a fantastic time. We are both young 21 and 19 and not really the clubbing type. San Antonio bay was a nice resort with plenty to do in the evenings and with the water taxi right outside the hotel you are never stuck without transport over to San Antonio Town. We went All Inclusive which we found a good option as drinks in hotel bars were very expensive at £3.50 for a glass of Coke. The pool was clean and you could always get a sunbed everyday with out fail. The staff aren't overly friendly but that didn't bother us. The rooms were extremely clean and cleaned everyday with fresh towels and bedding on request. Choice of food was reasonable with something for everyone and you never go hungry. The evening entertainment was poor from other resorts we have stayed at but we didn't mind too much as we made friends with another couple which we chatted to most evenings. We visited the island of Formentera off the coast of Ibiza which was fantastic definitely worth the 58 euro we paid. As Ibiza has the second best sunset in the world after Hawaii, we would recommend a visit around the point to a little beach and bar to watch the sun go down (very romantic!). Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely consider a return visit.

We stayed at the Milord in May this year for one week. On the plus side the hotel was spotlessly clean, the room was spacious albeit the bed was like a rock. We were Half Board which we were so pleased to be as although the food was totally ok, it gets a bit samey and the eating hall is lacking atmosphere. The hotel in all had no real ambience it was sufficient in almost everyway but would not stay there again as its missing something. BUT, the worst thing of all was the noise the walls are so ridiculously thin!!! Must have no sound proofing at all and most nights we were woken up at some point with noises of talking, doors slamming and chatting etc and twice by the couple next door rowing!!! The Water Taxi was really handy!!

Just returned from a week here & feeling a bit let down particularly by the food & all inclusive package. The hotel is very clean & the rooms are spacious but the service isn't the best. If you're a light sleeper you can look out as there are a LOT of groups of youngsters staying here who make an awful racket when they return from clubbing at 4am screaming, shouting & slamming doors. All inclusive is not all inclusive when you have to pay for ice creams for the children & the only snacks on offer are hot dogs, burgers & toasties! Breakfast was the best meal of the day with omelettes & pancakes made to order, but the evening meal wasn't very good with hardly any spanish cuisine but ok if you like burgers & chips. Entertainment team were good & the children had fun. Wouldn't hurry back here as it wasn't a patch on all inclusive hotels we've stayed at previously.

This was our second stay at this hotel. The hotel is spotless and rooms get cleaned evey day. The food is better than some 5* hotels we have stayed in and all very fresh. There are always activities throughout the day, the entertainment team are all extremely friendly and pleasant. The location is not so great, about 45 minute walk into San Antonio. We would recommend hiring a car, a drive to Cala Bassa beach is well worth it. We wouldn't hesitate to go back again.

this was our second time to this hotel and again we could not fault it, the food was excellent, cleanliness great, entertainment sometimes cheesy other times very good, the entertainment staff were all fab. I would agree with the thin walls we had a group of over excitable young lads in the room next door, only a problem on 2 nights though. A good mixture of guests, ages and nationalties. Would go back.
