“It's a budget hotel, you get what you pay for.”
Reviewed 16 July 2010

As the title says, it's a budget hotel. We visited in July for a week and cannot quite honestly understand some of the reviews. The hotel is clean and tidy the rooms are cleaned regularly (3 times for our week) and although basic and only having CNN on the telly we don't go on holiday to stay in and watch tv.

We stayed all inclusive and I agree with the comments about the size of the plastic cups, you certainly should not expect a pint of beer, the staff worked flat out to keep the queues down so it was never a problem really. The food in the restaurant, although not spectacular was certainly acceptable, there was always a decent choice so no reason to go hungry.

The pool/patio area of the hotel got busy at times especially in the evening when people prepared to catch the ferry across the bay for the evening. Most of the clientele seemed to be groups of girls or lads with a few couples and families and despite a bit of bad language at times, generally there was a really nice relaxed atmosphere about the place (we are a couple in our 50's).

If there is one small critisism it would be the feeble air-con in the room, it worked but not very well but you can hire a fan from reception to cure that.

In conclusion, it is a cheap and cheerful place to stay, some people we spoke to moaned about trivial things, certainly it is a place we would not hesitate to stay at again, if you want 5 star food and accomodation then stay in a 5 star hotel and pay 5 star prices, enough said.

All-inclusive factor was a complete rip off. The meals, snacks and drinks were awful. Massive queues to eat and drink. After becoming ill after the 2nd day we ended up eating out for the rest of the holiday when i could finally eat. No entertainment and bar shuts at 11. You would not want to stay in the hotel anyway. Everything is self service except the bar and when it's gone it's gone. Air conditioning worked in the doorway. Cockroaches and ants in the room. TV consists of 4 foreign channels. If you need a doctor don't ask the hotel they send you to private clinic. Room overlooked the Pink Panther the fall out from which went on till 6am.

I have just got back from my hen week away with my friends, it was a surprise for me and we had an amazing time...
My friends had read the previous reviews about the hotel and were nervous about where we were actually staying...however the negative reviews could not be anymore wrong compared to our stay.
We did not have the all inclusive package, we were B'n'B, The breakfasts were lovely, full english option, toast and a few cereals, deli ham and cheeses with fresh warm rolls. All of the staff were very welcoming, and polite in the mornings, and very swift at clearing the tables.
Some people complained because they couldnt eat outside but that was nice as i wouldnt want to watch people munching on their fried eggs and toast while trying to sunbathe or whilst relaxing on my lilo.
The hotel is on the west coast of the Bay, we were expecting to be kept up all night with loud music but we were very pleasantly surprised, all you could hear was the sea lapping the shore, there were two occasions of others in the hotel being noisey but they were soon quiet, may ten minutes or so of noise.
The hotel is directly on a beach with two generous pools, the sea was beautiful, the beach was cleared on the monday and was still very clean on the Friday when we left, there are some fantastic places to snorkel, watch fish and go rock pooling.
The pools were a generous size, big enough for all around the pool and as long as you were down before 10:30 there were plenty of beds. We only realised there was a second pool by chance so make sure you have a good look round in you in the Remo side of the hotel.
There were regular rounds of "asda price" goods sellers but all were very polite and all had a smile for you as they moved on to the other pool and beach area.
There is a taxi boat that takes you to the busier side of the town for 2.50euros, and also a beaches boat and jet boat that pick you up directly off your beach...Fantastic to get the boat over and walk back in the evenings along the shore.
There is a fantastic little bar on the sand around the corner about 15minutes walk from the hotel, the staff are lovely and the food was so nice we kept going back, and there is another place just outside the front of the hotel about 100m up the road opposite the crazy golf that serves lots of weird and wonderful foods from all over the world. Stunning inside too!
There is a watersports organiser on the beach too and it is one of the most competitively priced places i have ever used, with water sports and activities i had never seen before, i went on the ringos, around 30mins for 10euros and it was high speed adreneline the whole time.

The only negatives i have are my pillow could of done with being replaced but i was too lazy and usually too tired to care to ask for one so i used a cushion as well from off the sofa outside, the fridge was not ice cold but kept food and drinks cool, and the jacuzzi's have not been used in a long time and need refilling after being cleaned but we did go a little out of season so that could be why they were not working.
All of the staff are very nice and the mojority spoke very good english, there was a new lady of reception who was learning but she asked for help as soon as she didnt understand.

We did not go to any other clubs but all of the bars outside the front of the hotel had lovely, beautiful staff, and the bucking bronco entertained everyone.

Overall an outstanding place to visit and lovely accomodation for the bargain price we paid for it, one of the best holidays i have ever been on and i am now relaxed and ready to get married!

You need to see it to believe it!

Was quite worried after reading the reviews but the hotel was ok for the price. Location is right on the beach with ferry to the town only 2.50 euro. pool was clean and not too crowded. rooms were cleaned everyday and the staff were friendly. Didnt see one cockroach all week. I think the drug dealers someone wrote about are the lucky lucky men who sell the glasses. They are everywhere in san an, just ignore them.
The food was terrible, we went to the restaurant once and eat out for the rest of the week. recommend libertys diner, excellent. The air con didnt seem to work, neither did the jacuzzi bath.
I would say this hotel is ok for groups of young people there for clubbing and drinking, but certainly not for couples or families. It does get noisy, but it is san antonio, ibiza! If you want quiet , the resort is not for you!!

Where shall I start! - we arrived around 11 p.m and were quite relieved on seeing the reception area after reading some reviews. We got 2 our room and were not impressed with the furniture etc but it was clean. this hotel is most deffinately not a 4* they would be pushing it calling it 3!!! our balcony overlooked the main street which consisted of lots of bars with very loud music! the doors 2 these bars were however shut at midnight which helped with the noise massively. The food was awful!! the chips were re-heated and we could not cut the pork let alone digest it!!
We ended up eating out for the rest of the week which made the all inclusive a complete waste of money. We are a couple in our early 30's who like to have a good time but even we were shocked and appauled at the language and behaviour of some of the people. All females were disrespected by the young men who continued to shout lude remarks everytime any walked past! the bar was a joke only serving in tiny plastic cups. No entertainment and no atmosphere at all. We spent most of our holiday out of the hotel or in our room watching CNN (the only english channel available). The jacuzzi baths are a joke as ours never worked and we were not even provided with a bin!! Our bedding was never changed throughout the week and the cleaners would be in your room for 5mins max.
We were constanly being offered drugs and were often subjected to men exposing themselves!!!
Please avoid this hotel at all costs! It was by far the worst holiday we have ever had and were just so grateful to be home!!!!

we stayed for one week all inclusive in this hotel and had a brilliant holiday. i have taken the trouble to write this due to reading numerous bad reviews before going, but these people are i think your typical moan about everything british people(i am also british). the hotel is 20 mins of easy stroll into the main town center and the walk is a pleasure to do and not a chore due to the famous sunset over the bay. the beaches and restaurants along the way are nicer than in town anyway as they are not obstruted by yachts in the town harbour. the beach at the hotel is far nicer than the pool and getting a sunbed even late in the day was never a problem. at first it was a little annoying that the hotel bar would only serve a little cup of beer at a time and it depended on which member of staff served you as to how much spirit you recieved with mixers, but this seemed to be a particular theme throughout ibiza(bit stingy with spirits even though your paying through the nose for it), this did not bother me for too long as bar runs are short and little or no queing. the food at the hotel was not the best by any means but perfectly o.k. generally the breakfast would be saus, eggs, toast, beans, toms, fruit, yogurt, etc, lunch and dinner are served at set intervals in the day and tended not to stray to far from fish, lasagne, pork steaks, chips, cheese, broccoli, etc with ice cream, fruit, funny jelly like deserts. i have to admit that this does get a little boring and if you have the available cash eating at the local restaurants is a lot more pleasurable. the hotel tends to attract a fairly noisy croud but hey you are in ibiza so join in or if they are a bunch of **$£? then move somewhere else( but again this is general for ibiza). on the whole we were very pleased with location and for the price of the holiday was good value for money and would use the hotel again as a safe bet.

Me and my friend stayed here last year and absolutely loved it! The bay is the place to stay in Ibiza and San Remo is right on the beach which is perfect when you need a day of rest after partying in san antonio. The hotel is clean and the room was big enough for the both of us to sleep and get ready in. The pool is great and theres a terrace for sunbathing on, the only complaint I do have is that there weren't enough sun beds for everyone. On the other hand, the beach was just down the stairs so we weren't bothered if we didn't make it up in time to get a bed. We stayed all inclusive which was great as we saved on drinks, the food was edible and out of the 10 days we stayed we only ate out twice. San antonio is a taxi boat away, it takes 5 mins and from what i remember is very cheap, on the other hand we found it more fun to walk round to san antonio which takes around 20 minutes and there are bars on the way (make sure you visit bucaneros!). Restaraunts, chemist and supermarkets are all close by and you can take part in water sports on the bay. Ive been looking for a hotel in ibiza as good as san remo was and haven't succeeded. If you want a true review on where I think is the best place is to stay this is it. Have fun if you go, Ibiza is amazing.
