The huge plus of this hotel is the location and the mix of other guests. No rowdy groups, all couples or small families of all ages. It's right on the beach and within yards of the water taxi (€2.50) over to San Antonio marina and restaurants/bars. If you prefer to walk to the main area instead of using the water taxi it's only a 10 minute walk, all of which is along the beach front lined with bars, restaurants and shops (we walked back every night)
Due to its location is benefits from being quiet despite being close enough to everything without being bang in the middle. Also you can venture the other way to more places.
Breakfast was ok considering it's 2*. Fresh fruits, breads, pastries, and bacon, eggs, beans etc. I'm big on nice food and this was good enough to set me up each day.
Pool area is nice enough and drinks reasonable (€1.40 for a nice cold half lager)
Room cleaned to a high standard every day with fresh towels.
My only gripe is the staff. Luis (the owner) who others have praised, we found to be ignorant along with his fellow front desk staff (bar men and ladies at breakfast were polite). We are a polite professional couple but from the minute of arrival they don't give eye contact, never greet you when they see you, walk off when asked a question and deem other tasks more important than dealing with their customers! On more than one occasion I was told to wait because they were doing something really trivial (like putting postcards in the postcard rack) it was uncomfortable at times having to stand there like an idiot until they were ready!
In saying all this many guests come year after year and I would return because speaking to reception staff is not high on my list of holiday must haves on a cheap break away.
If you want a decent little place to stay, really close to everything but also being able to sleep without noise at night, this is perfect.
