“Great family holiday”
Reviewed 18 October 2012 via mobile

This is a great all inclusive hotel. Food was fantastic, fresh and we didn't find one meal that we could complain about. Breakfast was great you can have a full English or continental. One comment is that it would have been nice to have coffee available after every meal rather than just breakfast in the restaurant.
The entertainment team worked really hard and there was lots to do if you wanted to. Both pool areas were spotless and the all inclusive snack bar excellent. Staff were all warm and attentive. Got checked in straight in arrival at 11am-brilliant.
Rooms were spotless with clean towels and maid service every day. Agree that walls are thin and it could be noisy but it didn't affect our holiday.
Would definitely return to this hotel.

We were dropped by shuttle at the bus stop and walked around the corner with our luggage (200m). Prompt attention at reception, All inc bands straight on and straight into dinner while luggage stayed by reception desk. Hotel around a 1/3 full. Choice of meals ok always chips/salad/pasta/fish/veg and meat, puddings always jelly/mousse cake of the day/fruit cocktails and fresh fruit. Themed nights were chinese/mexican. Snack bar open during day serving hot dogs/burgers/toasties/chips/pizza. Cocktails for children and adults available all day. Wine/beer and soft drinks only in dining room. Hotel entertainment a bit hit and miss as end of season. Some daytime activities - rifle shooting/volleyball/ping pong/ mini golf etc. Both pools still open with bar area. Ice creams available all day/eve. Room comfy with 2 large beds. Bathroom door doesn't lock so wedge something in it if you have patio door open as it will swing open (ours did). Lovely sea view from top floor (room 508). Barking dogs on occasions when they were disturbed by noisy holiday makers returning to hotels (wax earplugs did the job on 2 nights). Friendly staff throughout hotel.

Room Tip: The rooms overlooking the pool have sunny balconys during the day. The rooms overlooking reception...

This hotel had a lot going for it, However we just got back from the Beragantine today. My self and husband,in our late fifties and early sixties were really disappointed with the food. A real lack of choice for breakfast. The bread was not good. So couldn't revert to this as last resort with the conserves being tasteless . Lack of vision and quality fruits was also a let down. Salad bar was acceptable. Main meals were often tastleless. And the wine was on tap in the restaurant, but was un drinkable in other wise (dire). The entertainment was poor to say the least unless you like Bingo and quizzes. One night was great with a one man quick dresser. Not sure why this all took place inside. The pool and outside space was great. All the staff was very helpful, in the Bar, reception, restaurant and the domestic ladies .

We recently returned from a week's stay at the Bergantin and overall we had a really nice holiday. The hotel is in a good location being a short stroll along the promenade to San Antonio's west end. There are plenty of bars/places to eat around the corner from the hotel which is also only 5 minutes from the (small) beach. The hotel was clean and our room was cleaned daily with new towels provided. The room itself was quite large for a spanish hotel with two double beds. We stayed all inclusive and had no trouble getting served quickly with the drinks having generous measures. The food in the main dining room was good but if you want to get fresh food then you need to get there early. We went to eat at 9.00pm one night and there was next to nothing left to eat. I got the impression that the hotel did not want to risk having food left over, however, if the dining room is open until 10.00pm then food should be replaced until it is due to close. The snack bar based near the pool was good and everything was freshly made to order so it was always nice and hot, especially the toasties!! The main problem with the hotel are the walls are so thin you can hear everyone in the next room, in the corridor etc even when they are just talking normally. We had a bad experience with our neighbours part we through our holiday when they came back at 1.00am and had a huge row which ended up in what can only be described as a riot both in the room next door and in the corridor. I was quite scared at the time and it seemed to take an age for anyone from the hotel to take steps to sort it out. The incident did not ruin our holiday, however, it was typical of some of the mainly British guests who stop at the hotel. The young groups of clubbers were no trouble at all, it was the middle aged people who caused most of the noise and thought it was ok to swear every time they spoke. I realise this is not the hotel's fault, however, it was compounded by the hotel's thin walls. Overall, a nice hotel with very friendly staff, let down by some of the guests who were there at the same time as I was.

Room Tip: Take some ear plugs if you like your sleep.

The hotel itself is clean and tidy if a little dated, the rooms are very basic but do have aircon. Location of the hotel is excellent as it's on the quieter side of San Antonio in the bay but is only a pleasant 10-15 minute walk to the hustle and bustle of San Antonio where all the night life is. Although just minutes walk from the hotel is a road that has lots of bars that stay open until late and offer good music and entertainment.
Staff are friendly and they have some decent entertainment staff aswell that actively try to get people involved, we played football one day which was good fun.
The main pool area is very nice, plenty of loungers and a nice sized pool. Drinks are served in large plastic cups and you can get 2 at a time which is excellent, there is a wide range of refreshments available included in the all inclusive such as ice creams, coctails and snack food available all day. The restaurant serves a good variety of food although towards the end of the week I did get a little bored of eating there.
The room view we had was a little to be desired as we overlooked the entrance and nothing much else, but as a lads holiday it didnt really bother us.
Overall enjoyable experience and if I ever go back to Ibiza I wouldn't rule this place out to stay as it is good value for money.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 102 and 103 which overlooked the entrance, not a great view you won't see a po...

Just had week at hotel with family ,food was good and good choice ,rooms big and clean ,pool area was spotless and there was plenty of sunbeds ,the only thing that lets the hotel down was the entertainment...it was rubbish ...there was nothing in the daytime for children to do and the night time entertainment was just as bad ,apart from that it was a good holiday .

Bergantin is run extremely well, staff are very friendly, cleaners are brilliant and the whole complex is clean. Brilliant location! Only a short walk to the nightlife so no noise irratation.

My only complaint was the walls are thin! This resport caters for young and old so my only advise is to put the youngsters on the lower floors as they can be noisy and wake you up. If we was woken up reception and security guard dealt with straight away

Food is at a decent standard. Fry ups are the best i have had from a hotel!

Most definately choose all inclusive, drinks are cheaper versions but you wouldnt know by the taste.

Would definately go back!
