“Very friendly”
Reviewed 23 July 2010

Nice clean simple rooms with comfortable beds, lots of space and little balconies overlooking the street. Very friendly and helpful staff. Yummy breakfast - all you can eat pastries, toast, cerals, fruit, yoghurts. handy location for walking into town or for the bus station to be able to explore the rest of Ibiza.

If you are looking for a nice, clean, cheap and cosy hotel in Ibiza the answer is Hotel Marfil in San Antoni. The hotel has its own passion and calmness. Here you will find travelers from Portugal, Spain, Italy, Brazil, Sweden, Dubai, Americans, Norwegian and some polite and nice Englishmen. What you wont find is (sorry no offense) drunk and noisy Englishmen. The hotel does not have a swimmingpool, but I find that good beacuse you will not attract wrong people. Rooms are simpel but with aircondition, TV and telephone. I belive most rooms has balcony. The location is sentral but away from noise and party streets. Breakfast is very good. The best is the service and kindness of the people working there and the prices. So if you dont require pool and want a cosy and calm hotel - go for Marfil.

I stayed here with my pregnant wife for a week in September. I called the hotel and get a cheaper rate than was advertised on any web site. I also mentioned about my wife and we were put in a back room. I found this very quite, although we didn't get sun during the day. I wouldn't fault the hotel, but would say the lack of pool would be the only draw back.
The staff were very helpful and we also took a boat trip with them on one of the days. I would recommend this as something to do. The breakfast in the morning is also a bif plus.
The location is perfect with a 5/10 minute walk to most places, yet not in the middle of anything. The hotel is also only about 5 minutes to the Main bus station with Buss taking about 40 minutes to the airport or 30 minutes to Ibiza town. Also taxi's to the airport are about 30 euro and take about 20 minutes., Over all I would definitely recommend

Went in this hotel several times .. This summer went with some friends .. The reception guy told us that he only reserved one room (we have booked and had confirmation of two) and they might not be free rooms anymore during our stay luckily we could keep our two room ... Went back last month same problem but this time no rooms were available and I had to leave the hotel during my stay even though I got all booking confirmations from them ... It seems that there booking system is a mess and unless you want to take a risk to get kicked out during your stay I would not recommend this hotel. Will not go there again ...

Marfil had the perfect vibe. The hotel has been recently refurbished and is in great condition. The rooms are well equipped and each one of them have an exceptionally large balcony.

You cant ask for more for the price you pay. The staff and owner of the hotel are the most friendly people we met, always willing to go out of their way to help. Biel, Miguel Noelia and Antoine were exceptional hosts.
Make sure you eat at Esquero a short walk from the hotel, the best Tapas restaurant in the vicinity.

This is a great hotel and was ideal for our girley bank holiday weekend in Ibiza. We came to Ibiza on 18-30 holiday about 11years ago and needless to say that we didn’t even leave San Antonio which is shameful. This time round (before we all reach 30) we decided that we would see the island in a bit more style and actually explore the lovely beaches and pretty towns the island has to offer. So I booked the Marfil hotel on last minute.com (obviously checking Tripadvisor prior to booking) and it had great reviews. It was the first bank holiday in May and the weather was beautiful and the island was very quiet, it was great to see how the locals live and their way of life. The hotel is basic but extremely clean, we found the staff fabulously helpful and knowledgeable, it was quite (although not sure how it would be during peak season), it was very safe and they laid on good continental brekkie. We also arrange a hire car through the Hotel and this was excellent too! Because we were one of the first customers of the season they kindly upgraded to a brand new Peugeot to cruise around and at a very reasonable price! I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again. Due to the time of year and it being early in the season the whole weekend worked out allot cheaper than going on a city break in the UK. and that includes our flights too! I will definitely be going back again!!

This hotel is ideal. The location is spot on, just far enough away from the loud music but litrally 5 mins walk to get in among it. Also only about 10 min steady walk to cafe mambo and the sunset.
The hotel room was very clean and i think sheets and towels changed every day except sunday.
The breakfast was good and had every thing you needed, infact we would make up a sandwich from the rolls, ham and cheese and have this at lunch.

The receptionist staff were all fantastic and really helpful, but have to say a special mention to Noelia who never seemed to go home ( bless her). She couldnt do enough for you.

This hotel is quiet small and a small grumble would be that it is near one of the routes out of city so there can be some traffic noise, but to be honest ear plugs would sort this problem out.
My only other gripe is that it didnt have a swimming pool, but the use of the pool down the road was fine for us- ( it is very small, pool freezing, but because its small, there are no roudy groups jumping about when all you want to do is relax)And the parot is very entertaining too.

Places i would reccommend are the Sun & Sea bar. This is a bit further round from Mambo and has a brill restaurant, great outlook and i would say a better place to view the sunset. ITS ALSO LOADS CHEAPER THAN MAMBO. they give out blankets for those chillier evenings too and the food is really good. Went there 4 times during out stay.

Top tip as most others have mentioned is to get some drinks from the supermarket and head down to the rocks below Mambo. Everyone does it and it saves you a packet.

had a brill time and would definetly go back to marfil.
