“Fair hotel, but not too impressed with the service”
Reviewed 3 August 2011

Stayed in this hotel with three friends. The hotel itself was fine, in reasonable condition, the rooms were cleaned regularly and the pool was small but well kept. The only problem we had was with one of the receptionists and the other hotel guests.
The receptionist informed us on arrival that there were no rooms available for us (some problem with 'water'?!) and that we would have to go to another hotel. Then couldn't find us a taxi to get there so, in an attempt to get checked in and down to Mambo for the first sunset of the holiday, we decided to walk to the alternative hotel. When we arrived at the alternative hotel with our bags twenty sweaty minutes later, the receptionist there told us the Don Pepe receptionist was 'confused' and that there actually were rooms available for us in the original hotel. We would have to go back (another twenty minute walk back then). When we got back there was no apology for her confusion from the grumpy vacant receptionist - not a great start to the holiday.
I would also like to add that the other hotel guests were almost exclusively larger groups of youngish lads - we were there to party but I could have done without hearing about various adventures with prostitutes being loudly discussed whilst I was trying to chill out by the pool - a bit grim. Those particular individuals had also brought with them an unbelievably loud music system which tended to kick off at 8am in the morning just as I'd got in from clubbing and was heading to my bed. The hotel doesn't seem to deal with this kind of stuff so it just goes ahead.

I stayed one night because there was no room in another hotel I had booked.
I had payed for a room with a sea view but refused to refund me because no such room was available. Asked for the complaints book... it didn't exist.

Myself and 3 mates stayed in this hotel last summer.

We'd all been to Ibiza before apart from one of us, so we knew what we wanted and expected.

We chose this hotel as its close to the sunset strip, literally 2 mins away down the hill towards the sea. Perfect.

The rooms were fine, air conditioned. they even had a weird wardrobe which contained a kitchen!

The pool was small but fine to taking a dip following a night of turbo-ness and BSHOD.

The hotel staff were all pleasant and were very accomodating considering they had to deal with Avatar and Bronto.

Steve from Plastik seemed to be in our room quite a lot, i think this is because jason loved him though. He was harmless

all in all, if you want a cheap hotel in a good location and you dont mind a bit of noise, this is a good hotel. lets face it, if you want a nice quiet hotel, maybe go to Minorca and not Ibiza.

I'd fully recommend, we even tried to book for this year but they are fully booked.

Cool

Arrived at the Don Pepe on the 17th September. Stayed here for 4 nights.

Before arriving i was constantly reading the reviews and to be honest, i was a little worried.

Arrived at the hotel at 01.30am and the receptionist was a great help and sorted everyone to there rooms. No problems whatsoever.

The rooms were spacious and clean.! The hotel is in a great location. Close to Mambo's/Savanahs and also close enough to the west end. And its in a nice quiet area.

The only staff we ever seen were the receptionist. They were all really nice people.

There was 16 of us staying at the hotel (aged 22-28) and on a few occasions we lost room keys or mis-placed them, however the receptionists didnt complain once.! They let us into our room, or gave us a spare key (providing we handed it back). Overall the staff were excellent.

We found this hotel through the "on the beach" website, we paid £35 for 4 nights (£8.75 per night) In all of our opinions, it was worth £35 per night, nevermind for 4 nights.

We're all normal lads but do have fair standards and would never stay in somewhere run down and dirty.!! This hotel was definately not run down and dirty.

Great value for money, great staff, great location.!!!!

Cant complain too much as it was only about 30 euros a night but it wasnt as bad as id expected after reading the reviews on here.

We arrived early about 11am and even though check in wasnt til 2 they gave us our room straight away. It was clean and basic, two twin beds pushed together to make a double with a wardrobe and a tv that didnt work. Theres a fridge & cooker if you want to use it but we didnt. We also paid 20 euros for a safety deposit box and 10 euros for air con for one week. Theres a small pool outside with plenty of loungers for everyone.

Its in a great location, 2 mins walk from Mambo/Savannah and 5 mins from west end.
It was fairly quiet on a night time until the last few nights when some idiots arrived who thought it would be funny to shout/scream/bang on doors at all hours of the morning.

Also got trapped in the toilet one day as the locks are a bit dodgy.

This was my 3rd time to Ibiza so I dont think ill be going back, but if i did i wouldnt stay here again.
