We stayed here for 3 nights in the summer and had a fantastic few days. It is within easy reach of Palma airport. The house is charming and has the fantastic combo of a self contained appartment but with the added bonus of breakfast served on the terrace each morning, complete with home made jams, warm croissants and a choice of various cooked alternatives. The poolside is secluded and shaded with a barbecue and a good sized pool. The location has the advantage of being within striking distance of each coast but being situated inland, even though we went in high season was very quiet. Porreres, a 5 minute drive away was a charming little town which served excellent, cheap mid-day and evening meals. Annie and Martin are extremely hospitable and have thought of pretty much everything. It has a homely feel, with lots of attention to detail. We loved the Tapas which they served on our last night to the 8 of us that were staying. They have a well stocked small library and games to borrow and a small bar with cooled drinks on tap for days by the pool. All in all - really excellent. We will be back!

Room Tip: Annie let us have a look at all the appartments when they were empty - all excellent.

We have become disillusioned with package holidays and felt there must be somewhere that wasn't filled with tacky Irish bars, no matter what you paid there was no escape and I am please to say there is - Finca Son Jorbo.

We knew there must be such places and the Finca is exactly what we wanted, it met all our expectations. The house is an old Majorcan country house that has been beautifully restored and has four individually designed apartments. Our aparatment (Azul) had a large lounge, four poster bed, large bathroom and private outside terrace where we spent many an evening with a glass of wine watching the stars. In the morning you could look forward to a leisurely breakfast on the patio.

The owners, Martin and Annie, were very welcoming and friendly and had thought of everything, there was even cool boxes and umbrellas for the beach and nothing was to much trouble - we can't wait to go back and have already booked for next year.

The surrounding area is unspoiled, the local town has made little concession to tourists, menus are in Spanish and very little English is spoken. Go a little farther afield and there are some beautiful old towns which have escaped the ravages of tourism, long may they stay thus. Nowhere is very far away and the best beach on Majorca, in my opinion, Le Franc, is 30 minutes car drive away.

You will need to hire a car. We hired one before we left from a company called Automotive cars whose depot was a long way of airport, so much so that I struggled to find it when returning the car. I won't use them again and will pay a little more and use a company based on airport. Don't be tempted to hire a sat nav, we did and it was all but unusable because of the glare from the sun and it was so old I couldn't put the car hire depot address in which didn't help with finding the depot.

Perfect stay in the most wonderful settings!

We have just returned from a five day stay with Annie and Martin at Finca Son Jorbo and had the most wonderful time there. I highly recommend apartment Azul with it's completely private courtyard over looking the olive grove and beautiful four poster bed.

I haven't really got much to say because the hosts have thought of absolutely everything to make your stay relaxing and convenient! From filling the fridge in your apartment if requested when booking, to a library of books and games to borrow, to so many wee nooks (see pics) for that cosy moment with a GnT out of the sunshine.

Breakfast is a lovely ritual each morning, the sunny courtyard is the perfect setting in which to enjoy your hand squeezed orange juice and eggs made to order...

The pool area has been furnished suitably so that if there are all eight (max!) guests there at once, you still have quiet and privacy if you choose. The pagoda at the head of the pool is also a lovely spot to spend the evening in.

if you're swithering - just book it, you wont be disapointed...

FOR ANYONE WHO DOES NOT HAVE A CAR...we stayed completely without access to our own transport for five days and had a brilliant time. The village (& supermarket) is about 20 mins walk away. We did this three times over the course of our stay and, if you are used to a walk, it really is no problem at all. There is a great bus service from Palma Bus Station to Porreres town centre which took about 45 mins - the same bus continues from here to Portocolom, where there are superb cliff walks (apparently! We didn't make it to the cliffs as we were too relaxed sitting by the pool, but we're booking for next year and will see it through then!). Speak to Annie and Martin when booking and they will assist you with travel arrangements - they could not have been more helpful with us.

Just returned from a week's stay. Perfect in every way. We stayed in Amarillo - cool & spacious. Our favourite spot was by the pool in the shade of the large tree. The finca is well located for touring the island - 30 - 40 mins to the largely unspoiled east coast and approx 1 hr to the north & west coasts. Lots of good restauarants or make the most of the wonderful cheese, salad, friut etc available from local markets. Top with some of the finca's own olive oil - delicious. Do visit Finca Son Jobe - you can be assured of a warm welcome from Annie & Martin. Our only disappointment - no tapas evening which we had been told about by a returning guest - hopefully we will get to enjoy one on our next visit - we hope to return.

We are recently returned from a blissful 10 night stay in Aqua, at Finca Son Jorbo. We chose the finca based on the reviews posted here and we were not disappointed, every glowing word is true. Annie and Martin have created a truly special place where relaxation is guaranteed. The apartments are well appointed and individually designed (we saw all of them during our stay), and had every thing we required for a comfortable stay. Breakfasts are leisurely, generous and delicious, with freshly squeezed orange juice, and occasional special extra's such as pancakes. Friday Tapas Night proved to be a real treat, superb food and wine and a chance to get to know your fellow guests. We sat around late into the evening, talking and laughing. There is a lot of happy laughter at the finca!
Porreres is well located to give easy access to the many places you may wish to visit during your stay. If you need advice or inspiration, Martin will oblige and provide directions.
We have just received a postcard from Annie and Martin (what a nice touch) saying they hope we enjoyed our stay.............OH YES!!.............................we will undoubtedly return to this perfect place and have no hesitation in recommending it to fellow travellers!

Room Tip: Aqua and Amarillo have least steps

We had a very relaxing, peaceful stay at this beautiful place in Majorca. It is an ideal ,central location for visiting other parts of the island.

Annie and Martin are generous, kind hosts and nothing was too much trouble.
We enjoyed a fun evening with other guests on their romantic patio and had the best tapas ever! All freshly cooked.

Thankyou so much. We will be back!!
