The finca hotel is located in a quiet environment embedded in an amazing landscape.

What is good:
- New Hotel Manager Thomas is very responsive and currently refresh the whole hotel
- The pool is large and amazing good for a swim
- the food in the restaurant is very good for the price esp. the ayuveda food
- the breakfast is rich, very rich! You can order fresh eggs and omelettes
- the suites at the pool are large, but a little bit old fashioned furnished
- the yoga teacher Ilona is amazing!

What needs to be improved:
- the bicycles are old and not very functional (but will be replaced over the winter)
- the SPA area needs a refurbishment and more focus regarding cleaning
- More cleaning in the bathroom
- think first, before you burn the fire next to the building :)

What we recommend:
- Go into the suites at the pool or ask for a room on the second floor in the main house

Summary:
- Very good for a quiet holiday with focus on yoga, ayuveda and hours of reading at pool
- Book over booking.com
- Thanks for the great stay!

Sa Bassa Rotja is an absolutely beautiful hotel. The grounds are very well maintained and the pool area is fantastic. The rooms were very clean and had nice views.
We found the food to be also very good with a great choice of hot and cold for breakfast and the evening meals were of a high standard. The ambience of the restaurant was very nice and a real pleasure to dine there overlooking the pool.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and made the stay very relaxing.
Can honestly say this is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed and a really good place to wind down and relax. Highly recommended.

Quiet location, 'pleasant' accommodation - but. Please don't mow and strim the lawns during the daytime when guests are sunbathing - it's so noisy, the satelite TV only has (plenty of) German channels!? - some of your guests don't (and don't want too) speak German, a poor breakfast - a gamble for any bacon and scrambled egg to be available when you arrive - did not want strong blue cheese and palma ham to eat instead at 9.00am, uncomfortable beds - terrible back ache, the poolside service was poor - handing out a menu at 1.00pm and then disappearing and returning just the once at random doesn't work for me, and I won't go into any detail on the army of ants in our room. Good points - the room cleaning service was excellent - well done our cleaner - you saved our holiday from being a completely negative experience over the 2 weeks.

This hotel lies about 2 km outside of Porreres. It has a bit under 40 rooms and a very nice and peaceful athmosphere. A car is highly recommended when staying at the hotel, as it is quite difficult to move around otherwise. However, be aware that this is not a family- and also not a party-hotel.

The standard rooms are very basic, however sufficiently big and equiped with all thats necessary (except for a balcony or terrasse) and definitely worth the price. The only negative aspect in this regard were the mattresses, which were quite soft and worth replacing.

It was obvious that the season just began in Mallorca and therefore the organization of the service (especially in the restaurant) was still quite chaotic and not well thoughtout yet. However, throughout the days an improvement could be seen. I can imagine that in a few weeks time the service will be of same high standard as the rest of the offering of the hotel. However, eating outside of the hotel is a very good and priceworthy alternative.

First impression: oh, it is nicer than the photos!
Definitely a great place to retreat and unwind after a day spent exploring the island either at the outdoor pool, wellness center or just on the suite's deckchair at the singing of birds and sheep bells grazing nearby.

I was housed in a suite (by the pool) that has 2 large rooms and bathroom. One drawback is the poor sound insulation between suites, otherwise has plenty of storage and place to move around.
Breakfast was great (you can make your own orange juice from local oranges), and dinners delicious (additional fee).
Hotel staff was extremely friendly.
Since the location of the hotel is in the country, out of the village Porreres, you necessarily need own vehicle.

Room Tip: Suite by the pool

I have just returned from a trip to Mallorca with my partner and spent 4 nights at Sa Bassa Rotja Hotel. I was looking for peace, tranquillity and beautiful surroundings in which to chill out and unwind, and that's exactly what I got - jackpot! The hotel has history and character and is situated well off the beaten track in spacious and well kept grounds. There are spa facilities on site which I didn't use, but was told were excellent (by another guest). The outdoor pool area was spacious and quiet. This is not an 'adults only' hotel, but the few children that were around, were well behaved and quiet. The other guests were predominantly German - apparently this area of Mallorca isn't on the Brits radar. All the staff were friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. Buffet breakfast was included and was plentiful and varied. Dinner/lunch was available at the restaurant for those who wished to eat in. If you are looking for clubs, bars and entertainment, this is not the place for you. If you are coming here, you will need a hire car due to it's remote position. For me, this hotel was blissful and I would be very happy to return again.

I stayed here for 3nights in august, i was looking for peace and quiet and time by myself away from husbands and kids just to lay in the sunshine in fab surroundings and read and write.

From the moment the taxi driver swung into the driveway which is walled and linned with palm trees you get the sense of being somewhere special.

The property is simply stunning everyday i noticed something i hadn't the day before.

The bedroom was cool, refreshing and a great place to rest and sleep with every amenity you needed, the water pressure is no longer an issue as they have installed new pumps so dont be put off by that.

The Pool area was quiet and calm and the beds were not the plastic ones seen in the photos on other sites, but nice metal ones that were really comfy and the towels the hotel provides in reception for you are lovely quality soft and fluffy.

I didnt eat lunch at the hotel as i topped up with breakfast and then a great evening meal which far surpassed normal hotel food but was restaurant quality and the waiters, David and his crew were great there was always a table for one reserved for me and they remembered my preferences for wine after the one meal, which made it all that bit more relaxing and special.

I Had two spa treatments at the hotel which again i couldn't fault, both really good ive not had treatments like them before and it was a nice change to be smothered in oils and be made to totally relax, rather than have a run of the mill back massage like you can get anywhere anytime.

This hotel and its staff are top notch if you want somewhere to unwind and chill, i couldnt think of a more perfect place. Thanks Sa Bassa you totally filled what i was after in a short break :)
