Visited Dream Grand Castillo on 5th July for 7 nights, booked with Cosmos, through T. Cook. On arrival to airport there was no organisation from Cosmos for transfers, my husband and I just walked around looking for a member of staff to ask for direction, eventually found a Cosmos rep., who directed us to a waiting area outside, told to wait there with 20 or so other holiday makers. After waiting 70 mins we were told to go to number 3 bus.......all appeared very unprofessional!!!!!
On arrival to Hotel we were faced with another wait. We were all given orange juice or/and champagne. Staff appeared very friendly, Jennifer saw to us, were there seemed a little confusion with which room we were allocated. We were given room 6255, after a few attempts and visits to reception we eventually got in our room ...................what a surprise!!!!!!! The room was huge, sea view, walk in wardrobe (with a safe to use), large twin bathroom with Jacuzzi, lounge area, king size bed, twin patio doors leading to a massive balcony which stretched all round this impressive looking detached bungalow. Sun loungers and other furniture filled the balcony. Toiletries were provided, cleaning, towels, chocolates....all daily!!! Small fridge in room, but not stocked with anything. We didn’t request this room; they told us during the holiday we had a free upgrade, which was very generous of them.

We arrived late evening 21.30. Food was available with plenty of choice. Food was OK all week, but they just seemed to repeat the same. Drinks and snacks were always available at pool bar. 30/40 minute walk to Marina, Playa Blanca a short Taxi ride cost 3 euro. Fresh cold drinking water is available 24 hrs from pool bar dispenser; we bought small bottles of water and kept refilling them throughout holiday, kept them cool in fridge over night. We ate at al e carte (Lancelot Restaurant, 1 free visit per stay), we have had al e carte before and this was ok, nothing special...........this is worth the visit, if only for a variation form food served at buffet!!!
Sun beds were not a problem; we did put towels on before breakfast only, because we wanted a certain spot. Beds were available during the mornings. There is a towel security deposit everyone pays 25 euro each, you are given a card, exchange for a towel, at the end of our holiday ask for your card, reception returns deposit.
Cannot comment on entertainment, it was not for us really!!! We walked to Marina most evenings after food...More
