We have stayed at this hotel many times and have never been disappointed. All the reviews mention how excellent the staff are..Its all true, the staff, management and owners have this absoloutley right. Nothing is ever too much trouble. For example, when we were shown to our room we found the door catch on the patio window was broken and would not lock. After a quick drink at the piano bar we made our way across to reception where we informed the receptionist. We then carried on to our room. within five minutes a maintenance engineer was at the door. He fix the lock in no time.. all done with a smile and extreme courtesy Thank you maintenance.
We run two busy businesses at home and come to The Natura Palace to totally relax and recharge our batteries. When it comes to the time we have to go home we almost wish our flight could be cancelled indefinitely. The one thing you will notice about this Hotel is, even when it is fully booked you will still find lots of quite places to chill out, it never takes on the appearance of a busy train station or airport..(like some hotels) it is always relaxing. The pool area is excellent. We saw lots of people rushing down to put their towels on sunbeds early in the morning..there is no need, there are plenty of sunbeds to go round. The three pools and jacuzzi are very very clean. The pool bar is excellent for a snack and prices are very good, with a club sandwich at around 5 to 6 Euros served with fries, good portions too and always piping hot. The dinning room is excellent with lots of choice. The bread rolls, loaves and Danish pastries are all really really fresh every day. If you want full English its all there. The waiting staff chefs and pot washers all deserve praise for the way everything runs smooth and their genuine interest and interaction with guests, They actually love what they do.. I could go on but I would recommend you go and try it...This hotel and its guests are loved and looked after by its staff and management and they are all proud to be part of a wining team.. That is more than obvious. Thank you for giving us a place to unwind and relax...See you again soon.
Maryse and Paul

PS Don't forget to check out MAREA Terraza Lounge Bar. Just along the seafront promenade (towards the lighthouse) where you can catch live music most evenings and watch the waves lapping on the shore by day, to the sound of some good chillout music.

We have just returned home after a lovely fortnight in this hotel. The staff are polite, courteous, hard working and helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble for them, and are always eager to please. The manageress at the hotel is also very polite, and has a desk in reception where you can speak to her if you have any problems. She also took the time to greet us and introduce herself at the welcome meeting. It is quite clear customer service is as important as anything in the hotel. The food, both at breakfast and evening meals are of a very high standard, offering plenty of choice and also lots of food freshly cooked in front of you. Also various themed nights. The only downside to the hotel, and the reason I have not rated it as excellent, is the tired looking bedroom. The furniture including the beds are quite old, the bath was a little rusty and quite clearly in need of replacing. Also one of the drawers broke, although this was repaired within a couple of hours or less after reporting it to reception. There was also a problem with small insects, but again this was dealt with at once. The cleanliness of the bedroom however was excellent. The room was cleaned and mopped all through every day, and also fresh towels daily. The pool area is also well laid out and is overlooking the sea with views of Fuerteventura. The hotel is in a quiet part of playa blanca with a couple of bars and a few restaurants about five minutes walk away.As you leave the back of the hotel through the gate which your room card will open, just walk to the right. In the opposite direction are a beach with a couple of supermarkets and again a few restaurants about fifteen minutes walk away, then the harbour where you can catch a ferry to Fuerteventura. There is also a number of places to eat, a few shops on the front, and some shops in the back streets. This is about thirty minutes walk away. You can then carry on to the Rubicon marina where there is a market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. So all in all a very good hotel, and if it is refurbished, which hopefully it will be soon, will be a first rate place to stay which we fully intend to return to in the future

Hotel cannot be faulted other than some not too desirable rooms.
This was a hotel I had seen on a previous visit to Lanzarote & thought how attractive it looked. I had thought it was somewhere I would like to stay so when I saw a good deal through Thomson Holidays this was the one for me. I emailed the hotel with a request for an upper floor room west facing.
I am aware that requests can never be guaranteed & unfortunately we were allocated a room on reception floor level. We did get the afternoon sun but also the early morning cleaning noise from the public area underneath & also the late night music from the adjacent bar/hotel.
Having said this the room was comfortable ( if you like an early morning cuppa take a travel kettle as we did) & all else about the hotel was great.
There was a good choice of food at the buffet style meals with plenty of freshly cooked options.
A nice touch was the cava/ Buck's Fizz at breakfast.
All staff were very helpful & friendly.
The hotel grounds & pool area was beautiful with plenty of sun beds & direct access to the promenade via a security gate. It is a 30 minute walk to Playa Blanca centre & 20 minutes in the other direction to the lighthouse. There is a local bus service every 30 minutes from the main road.
The walk to the top of the Montana Roja is well worth the effort & to be recommended. The walk is fairly steep but steady & the views are amazing. You certainly know that you are walking around a volcano!
Despite my misgivings over the room I would rerun to the Natura Palace.

Room Tip: High floor, avoid 1014 & other rooms on that level.

Dear guest,
thank you very much for your contribution and for letting us know your feelings after your stay with us. We appreciate very much your comprehension regarding the difficulty in locating all guests on their preferred rooms.
As you said it is not always possible to fulfill all desires on the arrival day specially when being fully booked. Please do not hesitate contacting us again previous to your visit and we will try to do our best, if not on your arrival day, maybe on the following dates when rooms are released.
Looking forward to welcoming you soon,

Just back from a most enjoyable week at this well run and well maintained hotel, booked through Thomson under their 'Platinum' umbrella. The hotel is best described as a W shape, with gardens at rear abutting the promenade (accessed via a secure gate) and as far as we could tell, all have sea views but some, as always, have better views than others. Two elevations overlook the pools/gardens/sea whilst the outer elevations of the W overlook gardens/sea. We had the latter, room 1146 with fantastic, peaceful views over the sea towards Fuertaventura (visible most days even without binoculars). On the opposite (west?) side of the hotel, some of the rooms towards the front of the building, were not, however, so blessed with such nice views. First floor rooms are actually two floors up at the rear as it is split level. Well manicured gardens and two lovely pools plus a small outdoor 'spa' pool with water jets. Reception is very grand, with a high wooden ceiling and a calming atmosphere.

Food in our view was excellent. A joint of the day, carved in front of you plus a great variety of other meats, fish, salads, veg, pastas etc. Friendly staff and nicely laid out seating where you are shown to your table each night. 6.30pm to 9.00pm dining is also very flexible.

Negatives? Entertainment a bit mixed. Motown singers were pretty good, Three Tenors better, Chinese acrobats not our cup of tea. None of the wardrobe hangers had trouser rails (we should have complained but didn't get round to it). Wi Fi in room costs Euro(E)20 for a week (or can do shorter periods but weekly tariff is best value), which I think should be free in a hotel of this quality. There is free Wi Fi in Reception area, which is OK for picking up iPad messages and e-mails but too slow for browsing or sending photos. Location? - see below.

Location is either perfect or too remote depending what you want. It is a brisk 15m walk to the nearest good beach, Flamingo and the main town we would estimate is about 50 mins walk. The Rubicon marina is another 20 mins on from the town so unless you are a hardened walker, the marina and back (which we did one day) is a long trek in the heat. The marina is lovely, teeming with fish, with some designer shops and bars/restaurants plus craft market on Wed and Sat until 2.00pm.

The resort has a safe prom which follows the natural contour of the coast and must run for about 3 miles. The beaches are beautiful with white, fine sand and two have breakwaters giving safe bathing in shallow sloping sand and gorgeous turquoise blue water. Bars and restaurants are also concentrated around the beaches (except for the furthest one, Papagayo, beyond the marina, which we understand has no facilities - we didn't get that far).

Local transport is good. There is a bus stop 5 mins walk from the hotel and it costs Euro1.35 p.p. to get into town or to the marina. We were told that a taxi to the marina is about Euro5.40 so if there are 4 of you, just as cheap to get a taxi (cheaper than a bus for 4 just going into the town). We also caught a local bus to Puerto del Carmen, which was E2.70 p.p. each way. Well worth a trip to see the huge white sandy beach and there is also a good selection of shops from designer to tacky and similar range of bars and restaurants. As a resort, we'd pick Playa Blanca every time, however.

We booked one trip with a local tour company, Last Minute Travel, who were excellent (entertaining guide, called Antonio) and much cheaper at E33 than Thomson. This was the 'South Tour', which took in Timanfaya/camel ride (extra E6 p.p. for camel ride), lunch in Yaisa town and the green lagoon. It was all enjoyable but the lunch was no better than OK and the green lagoon a disappointment so given the choice again, we would do the short South Tour at E20 each, which is essentially the 'must do' camels/Timanfaya and takes only a half day.

Up the steps in front of the hotel, across the quiet road and down into a small shop development is a sports bar, a laundrette, a small shop and some (sadly) empty units. Sports bar large beer E2.50 (E2 for a small beer!) and cheap lunchtime snacks. Also some bars restaurants if you leave the hotel at the rear and turn right towards the lighthouse, just a couple of hundred metres. A small beach there too but rocky with less attractive sand. Food and drink generally is very good value, especially with the more favourable £:Euro rate at the moment.

The weather was good. Cloud on some mornings but it burned off virtually every afternoon, getting hazy some evenings. It was windy most of the time, especially it seemed late pm but with temperatures of 27/28 degrees, it was for the most part welcome.

Summing up the hotel - excellent. Holiday overall, brilliant. We have done 5 star all inclusive and enjoyed it but for couples (you could count the number of kids at the hotel on one hand), this was more relaxing and enjoyable and we felt better for eating and drinking a little less than the all too tempting AI offerings.

Room Tip: First second floor and choose between sea view or pool/sea view as suits

We (wife and I) have just spent a very good relaxing break at the Natura Palace. Having stayed there some three years ago we knew what to expect and were not disappointed. Clean hotel, good sized rooms, friendly staff and very well kept gardens and swimming pools. There is a good variety of well cooked food, although restaurant could do with updating. All in all in our opinion a very good hotel and good value for money

Room Tip: Not many rooms with poor view but we prefer side rooms on floors 2/3 or 4 facing Harbour at Playa Bl...

We have just returned from a wonderful week at the Natura Palace Hotel in Playa Blanca. We have visited this hotel many times, and are never disappointed. We made a request for a room in a specific area of the hotel, which was granted, and we received a small gift as a thank you for being returning guests, which was much appreciated.
Many of the staff are there from one year to the next, showing their commitment to the Hotel, Stephanie on Reception, Xavier in the Restaurant and Paco, their wonderful porter, are always very welcoming.
The rooms are clean and beds comfortable, I understand they are to have a refurbishment in the near future, but we couldn't fault our room and balcony overlooking the pool.
Breakfasts and dinners are served in the spacious restaurant, with meat and fish cooked in front of you each evening, together with a roasted joint and plenty of choice for vegetarians too.
Lunches are available from the pool bar, everything from a sandwich or pizza, to a more substantial meal, we tended to go for the ham and cheese sandwich, burger, or omelette.
There is always room around the pools, with lots of available sunbeds, and pool towels are available from reception.
The Hotel is situated outside Playa Blanca, with a lovely coastal walk either westwards towards the lighthouse, or east to the town, passing a beach at Playa Flamingo along the way.
