I guess we got lucky and got a quiet annex room with sea view without having paid an upgrade.

The bedroom was large and obviously recently renovated in pleasing colours. There was no neighbour noise and the Aircon worked fine. Some complimentary orange juice and water. Chargeable soft drinks in the fridge.

Breakfast was great, very to my taste with fresh omelettes and English sausages. Waiter delivered coffee quite bitter. Head for the cappuccino machines at the back of the restaurant by the continental bar with toaster for better coffee.

Bread was often dry and less than fresh.

Evening food good, especially if you like seafood. Would look very samey after a fortnight though.

It's adults only. Clientele average age older than us, but we loved it for the peace and quiet. You want bang bang music at the pool then look elsewhere.

Walk up the volcanoe behind the hotel well worth it. It's not that hard a walk.

Some of the sun loungers are uncomfortable. Avoid the ones where the material is stretched and sags.

Drinks are expensive, and for some unfathomable reason coke costs more than the San Miguel beer.

Overall a good holiday. Certainly very peaceful.

Late arrival just a male receptionist and no one else in the hotel. Guests gone to bed it was 12 midnight and bars closed. No tui rep available and told to find own way to rooms and a sandwich snack was left in the dining room....which we tried to ear around cleaners....no drink given as everything closed. Tui rep gave a speech at 10.30 next day which last 50 minutes about trips....which we felt was very overpriced. Meals which the same every night...steak/fish/1 roast meat to choose from at night/salads/fruit. The sweets are extremely good. Service was hit and miss in the morning. You had to order coffee from your table if you could find a waitress. Evening meal they appeared immediately as you Re expected to order wine with each meal. We just wanted water and that was 2 euros 60 a bottle....never paid for water at a meal which any other hotel..
Felt it was penny pinching. The large beer (which wasn't a pint was nearly 4 euros and fitted into a small glass. Prices were far to high. Pool bar on first day got small Sprite and a coke cost 7 euros 20 in a small plastic cup. No one uses the bar as prices are too high and he seems to stand there all day doing nothing. Pool opens at 10am-12.30. Attendant then goes for lunch and reopens till 6pm. He clears up the beds which are extremely uncomfortable as no toppers -from just after 5pm and expects you out of pool by 6pm. The sun did not come out till late afternoon most days (and we had pouring rain and low temperatures in June for 2 weeks). The gym - use the terms loosely - is a dated with poor equipment and a very small room. Crazy golf is available for 10 euros refundable if you return equipment to reception. Pool towels are free and exchanged at reception when you need to.
On the whole the hotel is dates and really the average age is over 65. Rooms are tired and held together by sealant. Air con never worked (but due to poor weather this was not an issue for us). Acts are dire! Beatles, Abba, B Gees....Abba were miming to an extremely loud backing track.....bingo was also like the Eurovision contest in so many different languages ....your prize if you won was a cocktail work 7 euros.....Tui reps tried there best, but on the day we were leaving offered us a welcome drink and I said we were leaving and she said that the drinks were for new guests.....we never got that and as we had been there for a 2 weeks holiday and she had not seen us speaks volumes.
Resort 49 minutes to shops in playa blanca. Or you can walk the opposite direct in 30 minutes to a light house covered in graffiti.....hotel too far from main resort of playa blanca but you can get a taxi in for 5 euros. The buses are run very infrequently...and advised by rep to uses the taxis. Market in playa blanca every wed/sat 10-2pm. But it's an expensive market not the ones we are used too. Sorry, but lanzarote is not for us....if you like windy weather that's u settled and you are prepared to dry a wet sunbed and wrap yourself in a towel to keep warm till 1.30pm it's the holiday for you....and don't get me started on the salty pools.....1 is heated to 24 degrees and 1 isn't. Poor and overrated hotel.

Room Tip: Top floor level 3 rooms have been refurbished.

Dear Mrforest007,

We are committed to provide excellent quality of our products and services to our guests. We regret to read that you have left our hotel with an opposite idea in your mind. We appreciate our guests’ comments since they help us improve our services. We will share your impressions with the corresponding department in order to make adjustments, if necessary.

Regarding air conditioning, we count with air con in all the rooms and in many of the common areas of the Hotel. The temperature inside the Hotel is the appropriate to offer our guests a nice and pleasant environment during all year, and as the category of our Hotel requires, we work really hard to offer our guests a complete stay in all ways. That includes providing an enjoyable temperature in all our facilities. Of course, and as we always do, we´ll take note about your comments in order to improve and to be able to offer you great experience during futures stays.

It has been most surprising to read of your disappointment with the entertainment we provided you during your stay with us as it does not reflect any similarity to the responses we have received for the same period of your stay. We can only assume that this was an isolated problem and regret the fact that we were not informed during your stay; as this would have given us the opportunity to investigate and rectify the situation for you and our future guests.

The reception and the management are available to you and all guests throughout the day. We always advise all guests that you immediately inform us of any issues, as we can usually solve them immediately.
In any case, we appreciate your comments and will work to improve these points.

Once more, we thank you for sharing your experience with us and very much hope that we will have the pleasure of serving you again soon.

Yours Sincerely,

The Management

First visit to this hotel as we try not to return to the same hotels, but this will likely be an exception. The hotel was very nice, the people very nice too.

There are always points you would like to see improved, but generally minor. Firstly, the usual "reserving sunbeds". Though the hotel asks for it not to happen, there are always those who ignore this, and as the weather in the mornings was often overcast people would have their towels down at 8 o'clock or before. This wouldn't have been irritating if they went off and didn't return until 4 or 5 o'clock, then packed up and went in. They mainly reserved the beds with parasols (fixed locations) which meant others had to do without.

Second, the maid service was inconsistent. Some would leave soap and others wouldn't. The soap would only last for one, maybe two people to shower, so the bath gel was needed. You couldn't be sure of when they would come to the room, but as there seemed to be people arriving and leaving almost every day, it probably was awkward for the staff.

Third, the outside area of the restaurant. Mainly in the evening, there was a queue for these tables. We only went in once, but the pressure for seating meant when we went for desert, our table was occupied when we came back. Fortunately, the drinks we'd had were from the event staff at the restaurant door.

As I've said, relatively minor issues, and I'm sure they will be resolved easily.

That apart, we had a very nice holiday, could have been better if the weather had played nicely, but that is not in the hotels power to change. At least most afternoons were nice.

Food was excellent for me. On most holidays, I have at least one night when I struggle to find a suitable dish because I'm rather fussy. Not here. I ate very well, and the food was well cooked, the chef's nice (and funny at times). Can't really fault the restaurant staff either, polite and helpful at all times (except when they gave our table away - you're forgiven).

The entertainment was of the Couples/Sensimar standard these days - well, it is a Sensimar hotel. I'm not a grate fan of the overall variety, but there are some good acts. "Detroit Sounds" is people we've seen on previous holidays - generally good singing and songs. ABBA The Winners were OK, but their voices were a bit quiet - sound man please note some of the vocals were drowned. Beatles to the Rubber were very good. As a scouser, I enjoy the Beatles music, and these lads were one of the best tribute bands I've heard - 'nuff said. Bee Gees, were OK musically, but the singing was with variable resemblance to the real thing. Motown Mania were very good. They had a rock band early in our stay, can't remember the name, but I wasn't convinced by their choice of "Rock" music, but what they played was OK.

Most of the other entertainment was a piano player, who was good, but with a relatively fixed repertoire for two nights a week. The other was a saxophonist, and while I like sax music, I prefer when they're part of a band - just my opinion, as all of this is.

The entertainment team tried had, and the introduction of spinning in the pool seemed very popular, but had limited bikes so Filip Filip had to do two sessions in a row which knackered him a bit.

The back gate of the hotel (room key to get in and out) opens on the the promenade. This path goes both ways, but you can walk to the Rubicon center (market on Wednesday), but it's a good walk. (For those who count, the wife recorded 24,000 steps round trip the day we went, Playa Blanca was 18,000 if you go around, and around the shops.) The lighthouse is in the other direction, and you can walk up the volcano if you have suitable footwear - not sandals for definite.

Other positives, free use of the safe, no deposit for the beach towels, free orange juice, apples and water on arrival and replacement water every 2/3 days.

All in all, a very nice holiday, and it is fairly certain we'll be going back there before too long.

Thanks to all the staff at Natura Palace, see you again sometime.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pool are best. We found that TUI were doing "offers" on some rooms that overlooked the service road.

We have stayed at the Hotel on 5 occasions and have received excellent service all round. The staff cannot do enough to please. We always book a suite which is very comfortable with lovely views across the sea and surroundings. The housekeeping staff are excellent and our room was always cleaned to a high standard. The Hotel is situated on the Promenade and gives access for easy walking. Entertainment was quite good and service in the bar area was also very good with plenty of waiters to take your order. The Piano Bar is very comfortable and well run. We do think some of
the suites do look a bit tired and need updating. Walk in showers would be good also.
The food is excellent and plenty of choice for everyone. We love the hotel and all its staff and will certainly continue to Holiday at the Natura Palace we feel very much at home there.

Wonderful 12 days spent at this hotel. Our room was fantastic, great sea views. Food very good. Gardens are immaculate. Beautiful & peaceful location. Staff are wonderful, very professional. TUI reps are brilliant, way more professional than any holiday company we’ve ever been with! FREE safe in hotel room!! Never experienced that before! Good entertainment in evening. My only criticisms are: the hotel is too far from the Playa Blanca strip, which we love, why don’t they run a courtesy bus as other hotels do? & the alcoholic drinks weren’t very nice (which is weird!) we tried cocktails & sangria, stuck to Cava in the end, very disappointing.
