Stayed here for 5 nights in June 2014.

We had Villa 10 and it was lovely, clean bedding, mattresses caused no problems sleeping, could do with a few more pillows. The maids were lovely and friendly, fresh towels twice during our stay! Only downside to the villa, is the aircon, fixed to 24 degrees, and on low! No option to change it!

The food is simple and can be repetitive, but being a small resort that's what we expected! If you like meat and chips then this is fine! We had no problems finding something to eat!

The entertainment was varied and Juan was so great at making people join in and have a giggle!

The pool area was clean, enough sunbeds, but sometimes we were without an umbrella!

The highlight of the stay was definitely the sunsets down at the chill-out bar, cocktails are €4 each, and it's a nice way to spend the evening!

Lovely holiday, friendly staff, great little escape! Few tweaks needed though!

Villas spacious but an obvious ongoing drain problem on the complex. Chillout area very relaxing but evening sunset spoiled by having to look at it through dirty windows. Staff were friendly and did the best they could under very difficult conditions. Evening HITS bar too small and understaffed.Full marks to Johan from Animation team , well there was only him really, did his absolute best everyday. Dining was an experience in itself with poor quality food , lots of flies and extremely dirty windows. Pool area very poorly maintained and dirty. I do hope they will at some stage use the power hose reception told me they have. Hot water soap and the power hose would go a long way to making the old , once again , dirty sun beds and the complex itself more acceptable. In other words to the management Clean up your act.

Stayed here for a week, and glad to leave. Staff as previous comments mostly ok, they are working against all odds here and are helpful and goodness knows how, cheerful. Had a big problem with drains in our bathroom, the stench was appalling and to fix the problem the maintenance guy opened the sewer pipe in the bathroom and poured bleach down, obviously this did not work and after after asking to be moved we were told the place was full, it wasn't anywhere near full, after insisting the reception take a look hey presto we were given one of the many vacant available rooms.
The food is pretty bad, the dining room hot and full of flies, if your all inclusive would recommend you take extra cash to eat out.
The rooms are clean but in need of an upgrade, the mattresses are way past their best very uncomfortable, the patio furniture is rusty and dirty.
Building work was being carried out all week on a covered seating area to extend the dining outside, could have been finished in a couple of days but was still not finished as we left, so poolside is noisy and scaffolding up during the day.

Room Tip: Up grade to either villa with pool or premium room if possible and ask for sea view.

Myself husband son and sons friend stayed from the 10th till 20th June.
Our first impression was how quiet the place was but after one day realised how great that was for our relaxing holiday. The staff are excellent and very helpful. They all from reception to bar staff to the cleaning and restaurant staff were cheerful and happy to see us. They made it seem they all thoroughly enjoyed working here.

There is one person who stands out for all the right reasons Juan. The entertainer. He is such an asset. He was continuously ensuring that everyone was enjoying themselves. Our boys named the "blues brothers" had a fantastic holiday mainly due to him. He makes time for everyone young or old. He is not overbearing like some. If you wanted to take part in the activities great and if you didn't he would not be pushy. He has great energy and a natural ability with people. This is not something one can learn.

Overall we were v happy with the food. The accommodation and the friendly staff.

Quiet and relaxing place.

Me, my mum and 2 friends stayed here from 12th-17th June. Really impressed with how beautiful and spacious the whole place was. Tables were cleared quickly at mealtimes and nice choice of food. Only one night we struggled to find something we liked. We planned to spend a night on the town but were so relaxed we never bothered! The bar Ran out of the nicer drinks now and again but we managed to find something else lol. The chill out lounge is stunning and cocktails delicious! Unfortunately I received a call from home telling me my little boy had been rushed into hospital in England after unexpectedly taking critically ill. So now I come to the the most amazing part of our stay, the reception staff and manager, mainly filipe. After enquiring if they would be able to arrange an airport transfer should I be able to get a flight, they could not do enough to help, he even offered to give me a lift himself at the end of his shift! As they have no payphones and are still working on connecting the private lines, they allowed me to ring the hospital from reception and when I struggled to get a flight, rang several airlines to try for me! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a flight but every time I went past reception, filipe and the manager enquirer about me and my boy and gave me a hug when I needed one the most. I will never be able to thank them enough.
The hotel IS out of the way, but taxis are called from reception and with you in minutes. I personally wouldn't bring my children, but was perfect for a relaxing break for us or couples. I will definitely return when my children are a little older!

Dear ShevOn,

Ricardo, our cooker, is glad to know that you liked the food and that you could have the choice to eat what you wanted !

As you said the Chill Out zone is an amazing area to relax, and is going to be better and better with the time. We are improving our services this year: new pool, new terrace, new mini club..

We really hope that your boy is better now, Felipe and our manager were proud to help you when you needed it and made all they could for you.

By the way, thank you very much for the delicious chocolates, we all enjoyed it !

Stayed there for a long weekend for a lad's escape. Resort not quite suited for this though is very good for families and couples. Food ok and never went hungry though nothing to write home about. The place though does have a nice feel to it, the villa's are a delight despite the ants though the place was not cleaned or towels changed for the 3 nights we stayed there. On the bright side it is only euro at the most to get to the centre of Playa Blanca in a taxi and it is a delightful little town, You can also walk into town though it will take you well over an hour to do so.

This is the first time I have given a bad review..... traveled a lot, but very disappointed. Others need to know the negatives before booking. Such a shame, the staff really work hard, but the location and what's on offer is terrible.

We went half term in May 2014 as I have to fit in with the college term. I booked this hotel in error, as didn't mean to be out on a limb right next to the lighthouse. It is very isolated. You have to walk across an un-built piece of land, with rubbish and dog faeces to get to the bus stop, unless you walk a very long route via the road. If you walk from bus stop to hotel at night along the road, it is deserted, has abandoned half built villas and a bit scary and dark.

The pool was broken; empty of water. Our 2 bed accommodation (no 17) was next door to one rented out to 4 workmen, although they were mostly quiet, I did get woken at 7am 2 mornings running when they left. It was intimidating to walk past their patio to get to ours, with their washing hanging out and them eye-balling. Our patio had a poor sea view and given how empty the hotel was, we could have been given one nearer the sea with a proper view. Hot water ran out after one person showered. We had to ask twice to get the rusted patio furniture cleaned. Small cockroach found in bathroom last 2 mornings, even though got rid of it outside!

We were discriminated against because we were half board and not full board. We weren't allowed water with our evening meal, and had to buy a very small bottle about 250ml for 1.5 euros, which was a rip off. Neither could we have any juice or coffee. There were signs informing us of the restrictions. We had to wear a wrist band all week denoting our 'position'. We got overcharged for a bottle of wine on our first night. No dress code for evening meal, so people in short t shirts, shorts and flip flops. The food in the restaurant was 95% bought in, so no originality, taste or enjoyment. Same menu most nights and breakfast. Plenty of it, but boring and unoriginal. If you got to eat at the beginning of the time schedule, you could get better food, but some things ran out and were not replaced, so eating late meant little choice and dry bread, no desserts, dried up food. The bar is small, loud and no good for more than 30 people.

You had a large kitchen, but had warning notice not to use the 2 ring stove for longer than 10 minutes, little cutlery, no sharp knives, few plates and glasses - all designed not for use. Lots of extra charges for hire of hair dryer, sunbeds on your patio, safe in room, wi-fi, air con or heating...you need another 100 euros per person per week for these and a few other things. Some was made free to us as pool closed.

The chill out zone was small and only had 2 large bed areas for relaxing for the whole of the hotel... they have added this as a feature, but it's too small.

We didn't take children, but there was only a small play area for kids.... can't think why families would come to a hotel, albeit mostly all inclusive, when it's far from the resort, isolated and nothing else to do. We walked around the whole area, so know that there were only the few shops, small supermarket and a couple of restaurants at the bus stop. More like a ghost town. No car rental, no bike rental. You are stuck there daily unless you get the bus or pay for taxi.

We paid for a 4 star hotel and got barely a 3. This hotel was heavily discounted just prior to departure, but we paid £650 each..... a waste of money, could have stayed in the town for less and got more facilities and better food.

The good things? The staff were very helpful and gave a high standard of service - very much 4 star service. The apartment was very big and ideal for 4 adults sleeping. Overall, a clean hotel.

How can they improve the hotel?????

Room Tip: Contact the hotel before your visit and ask for direct sea view.
