“Lovely Villa, home from home”
Reviewed 28 September 2017 for a stay in August 2017

This was a lovely villa about 15 min walk from Marina Rubicon. We hired a car for a week but you can get around on foot if you don't mind a bit of walking. Lots of nice places to eat at Marina and walk along seafront right over to Playa Blanca is lovely. The villa was very clean and agent was quick to sort out any problems we had. Would stay again if returning to Playa Blanca

Management Response
13 Jan 2018
Dear Ali,
I am very sorry and surprised, at the time, to hear that you've been seriously unsatisfied with the villa. While I respect your "unfair" review,
I have to point out a few things, just to help our features guest reading this review by providing more details and the correct information:

Despite your description, the resort is safe and well kept, and the estate was completed in 2008. I don't think "squatters" would get into "skeletal" or "uncompleted" buildings, if that's your concern. I confirm instead that security guards where there for both neightbors and holidaymakers protection.
For your info, about the desolate and abandoned areas you said you've met on your way, I think you should address your complaint to the Major who is in charge for the maintenance of all areas of the municipality, not to landlords which are responsible only on their own property.

Please note the pictures published on our AD come from a photo shoot which was taken from a professional photographer of HolidayLettings (TripAdvisor partner) who visited the property personally. They show our villa and also other villas next to, thus the photos you've posted here have clearly been taken on other properties, not our.

That being said, It is very regrettable that there has not been given us the chance to handle this situation from the beginning, before you moved to an alternative accommodation. If we would have been informed before, maybe we could have discussed on it and try to find a solution in someway. About this, me and Mr Alexis (our on site referent person) where both reachable at the contact numbers provided all day long, but unfortunately neither of us has received any calls/text messages from you, until an email arrived from you on late evening, saying you wouldn't stay at our accommodation because you had found a new one to move in.
Was that the property your were talking about to me before confirming the booking with CasaVitturi? You remember the one you told me you had located in the "same area" and asked me if I could match their cost?
As you know we did our best to you to meet your budget, to the point that you decided to book with us. Is that maybe, once arrived in Lanzarote, you went to negotiate a still better rate with the other owner and decided to move to the other property anyway?

For sure, in my opinion, claiming the full refund of this reservation after finding an alternative accommodation, leaving the villa without providing a good reason and without discussing it first with the owner before moving to another property, it probably wasn't a good move. In fact, in order that TA confirmed that the information provided on our AD was correct and adequate, your request was not accorded since there where no grounds for a refund after leaving the accommodation on arrival day.

By the way, I hope the new accommodation you've chosen have met your requirements and that you had a pleasant stay in Lanzarote.

I trust my clarifications, provided in due time by email to you, have been here of help also for future customers.
Sincerely,
Riccardo

“ticked all the boxes”
Reviewed 6 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Our first visit to Lanzarote and the Villa but we will definitely be returning as we enjoyed our stay so much, We had 3 teenagers in our group who also thoroughly enjoyed our trip. The Villa catered for all our needs and we all had a lot of use of the outdoor pool , BBQ and the sun loungers due to the fantastic weather.

“Relaxing family winter break”
Reviewed 21 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

This villa is set in a very quiet area. Villas adjacent , infront and directly behind Casa Vitturi are not complete .This did not bother us as we had complete privacy. Villas to frontside and behind are complete and have occupants. Felt very secure as a security guard is on patrol 24/7. The villa is a great size very clean and we'll equipped. The only minor criticism we had is the lack of a welcome manual just to explain use of things eg (wifi code and how to work safe etc) location of nearest restaurants supermarkets, taxi etc. After a good explore we found supermarket (Superdino) is just 8 mins walk away or 2 min drive. Just head down the road you'll pass one big round about then a tiny one. You'll see a large white block with some blue on it. The nearest restuarant is just a very short walk. Nearly opposite villa there is a walk way at Las Granjas villas just walk through it and over gravel field then along road and you're there. Nice steaks and wine. About €135 that was one starter 3 fillet steaks 2 deserts a bottle of wine and soft drinks. Rubicon Marina is about 20min walk away or 5 min drive. Playa Blanca is about 40/50mins walk or short drive. Taxi cost to Playa Blanca around €4.50.
Be aware of safe . We were without money and passports for two days and had to drive to Puerto del Carmen to get key from Mr Alexis to unlock as keypad did not work. Luckily we had a car and kids had some euros to keep us going. Felt this issue should have been dealt with on arrival as soon as we contacted Mr Alexis but we had to wait for owner to give authorisation for us to get key! Which Mr Alexis had all along. Once sorted we could start to relax. You have partial sea views from outside seating area upstairs to enjoythe sunset you also have mountain views. A nice ratan sofa and seats downstairs outside would be nice would just finish it off to relax on after a meal in the evening air. We look forward to returning sometime soon.

Had a lovely week staying at casa vitturi, , we booked a private taxi from the airport which was well worth the 58€ for the return journey, the supermarket was a ten minute walk away and it was well stocked and very reasonible priced, we walked into playa Blanca along the sea front and to the marina and got the bus back, the villa itself was well equipped with every thing we needed and the heated pool was lovely, most of the villas around where empty which was a bonus and there was always a security man patrolling the area.
