“Lovely comfortable well appointed villa in peaceful location”
Reviewed 26 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

This was our second stay in Faro Park so we were familiar with the area, but had not stayed at this villa before. Turns out we made a great choice! The villa has literally everything you need and is very well maintained, clean and tidy. The owners have catered for all age groups even providing a games console and games if the youngsters get bored of the pool which was kept to such a nice temperature you really won't want to get out of.
We were lazy and did not cook much during our stay but the kitchen is well appointed with everything you need and was clean, as was the whole villa! There is a decent size BBQ if you want to make the most of the alfresco dining.
The location was very quiet and peaceful with two small supermarkets and a number of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. 2 minutes away you have the coastal footpath where you can enjoy walks along the rugged coastline. Playa Blanca and the Marina Rubicon offer a vast selection of bars and restaurants and are within a 10 min drive.
We had a great stay and we're glad we paid a little extra for late check out so we could enjoy relaxing by the pool until it was time to head to the airport!
Highly recommended and a great peaceful base from which you can explore and enjoy the Island!

Lovely villa decorated well throughout with a lot of thoughtful touches right down to English 4 way extension plugs available (perfect when you have a son with endless mobile devices).
Located in a quiet area with views of the sea from the bedroom. This allowed us to relax and laze away the days without feeling hemmed in or overlooked but with amenities of a supermarket, restaurants and bakers (lovely croissants for breakfast) only 5 min walk away. Playa Blanca centre is also only a 10 min drive away for nights out or days on the beach. Would definitely recommend.

“Simply Wonderful!”
Reviewed 31 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Superb villa: beautifully decorated, very clean, superbly equipped indoors plus great outdoor facilities. Amazing pool and spacious outdoor area, perfect for alfresco dining, BBQ and of course sunbathing.

We have stayed in numerous Faro Park villas over many years holidaying in Playa Blanca and this is one of the best - would highly recommend.

Car is recommended but the 30 - 40 min walk along the promenade into centre of town is wonderful, or a quick 10 min journey by taxi is only 5 euros.

Thank you for a wonderful stay - we'll definitely return to your first class villa.

“We didn't want to leave!”
Reviewed 6 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

We loved this villa; this is our 3rd year of staying in the Canary Islands for New Year and it didn't disappoint. Faro Park is a few miles outside Playa Blanca, which as we were two families (two couples, each with one child) suited us as it was nice and quiet. Faro Park itself is a pretty location and the villa was a step from the crashing Atlantic (which we love). We hired cars so everything was easily reached. The sunsets from the villa were just spectacular as the upstairs terrace faces the sea in the west.

The local supermaket is fine for basics and bigger supermarkets in Playa Blanca sell what you can't get locally. We made use of the barbecue several times and also ate out. I would personally recommend going into Playa Blanca as while the local restaurant we ate in was very good, it was all a bit devoid of atmosphere. We prefer a quieter beach than the town beaches in Playa Blanca so we went to Papagayo; stunning beach, clear sea that looks turquoise in the sun.

We hired bikes for a few days; there is a cycle path almost all the way from Faro Park into Playa Blanca and we did this a few times with our 7 year old. I recommend Cool Bikes in the centre of Playa Blanca - lovely service and funky bikes. He also hires electric bikes and mopeds, all are a bit retro and lots of fun.

The Timanfaya National Park where you can see your food cooked from the heat of the volcano is amazing; entry fee includes a bus trip that is probably not much fun for kids and you get directed to the bus the minute you have parked. If you want to walk around you have to go with a guide and book weeks in advance. Camel rides are available on the way to the volcano, this was fun and very different!

The villa itself is spacious and really well equipped. Yes the wifi is a bit slow and the sky a little temperamental but the wifi is fine if you need to find an email or check a bank balance. We have no interest in gaming so I can't comment on the PS whatever it is! Nice touch having a washing machine so we could keep on top of beach towels and the dishwasher was a real bonus. If I were to be picky I would just comment that the beds were pretty uncomfortable, but I do completely understand why you would choose easily replaceable foam when renting out a property, so it did not spoil our holiday. The best bit of this villa is the pool - the first time that a heated pool has felt heated; the kids were able to stay in it for hours without getting cold so top marks for this. The terrace is spacious and there are six nice sunbeds. I believe that this property benefits from the fact that it's the owners much loved second home as it has nice touches such as pleasant modern decor and nice pictures/ornaments. On the subject of the owner, he could not have been more helpful, responding quickly to all my emails. If you book this villa I am sure you would not be disappointed. Well, only when you have to leave to go back to the rain at home!!
