“Great Villa - Great Location!”

We stayed at Villa Citrus for 9 nights from 9th February 2017 and having spent hours looking at Villas in Playa Blanca we chose this one because of its location and the fact that we didn’t feel a car was necessary. As it turns out we ended up hiring a car as it worked almost the same cost as a return transfer organised through the owner and the Villa was really easy to find which is a bonus! The area is very quiet and it was a luxury to have peace and quiet especially through the night.

Having looked at other areas I can say that we wouldn’t stay anywhere else as you can walk to a supermarket in less than 5 minutes and a few minutes further is the seafront walk to the Marina. We did venture out because we had the car and there is a bigger supermarket opposite the bus station which is 5 – 10 minutes in the car.

The villa was spacious and well presented we were spoilt having 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms as there was only two of us and I made use of the washing machine on the last few days to bring back clean clothes. Most things were provided in the villa such as soap, loo roll, cleaning things, washing up liquid etc but I had taken my items just in case. Fans and heaters are also available for use but we didn’t need either.

The outdoor area was spacious with 6 sun loungers and an out-door eating area and cushions for the loungers were also supplied.

This was our first Villa holiday and it has opened up new possibilities and having the freedom and flexibility was a huge bonus.

We would stay at Villa Citrus again if we returned to Playa Blanca as it met all of our needs.

“Perfect!”

We stayed at Villa Citrus over the Christmas period, our third year in Lanzarote. It was our first villa holiday, and we are so happy to have chosen Villa Citrus. The villa is in a quiet street, close to a supermarket with several restaurants in walking distance. The marina is about half an hours walk away, we chose to use the coastal walk, which was beautiful. We did hire a car, so had no issues getting about. There is a bus stop at the top of the road though, so if you don't hire a car you can get about easily enough.
The villa itself is beautifully presented, with everything you can think of supplied. Having a washing machine was fabulous. The pool (we chose to have it heated, which was a great idea!) was small but perfect for our needs. The outside area was lovely, with sunbeds supplied, table, chairs and a bbq.
Our welcome pack was great, as we arrived Christmas eve evening, it meant we didn't need to find a supermarket and could head straight out to eat/drink. The wine and wine glasses chilled in the fridge was a lovely touch too.
Maureen and Richard have pretty much thought of everything, from a drawer full of dvds and books, to the welcome pack, fans, and lots of literature about Lanzarote.
Mike, the pool man, was lovely and really chatty, giving some good advice of where to go and what to do on the island.
El Golfo for lunch is a must do, as is visiting the Papagayo beach, just beautiful.
We highly recommend Villa Citrus for a lovely, stress free holiday and will be back soon!
Cheers

“Lovely stay”
Reviewed 2 January 2017 for a stay in December 2016

A well equipped 3 bed villa with small pool situated in a quiet residential area approximately 20-30 minutes walk from Playa Blanca centre. Fully equipped kitchen with oven, microwave and dishwasher, lovely seating area both inside and outside. We didn't use the barbeque but imagine this would be lovely to sit outside to eat dinner in the warmer evenings. There is a convenient bus stop 5 minutes walk from the villa that takes you into Playa Blanca. We would book again.

“A memorable and happy family holiday”
Reviewed 10 December 2016 for a stay in November 2016

We stayed in Villa Citrus for the mid-term break. We have two young children - aged three and six. From the very beginning Maureen, the owner, was a pleasure to deal with. The property was clean and had everything we needed - even a washing machine - which is great with children. There is good WiFi, DVD's and books available. The front door can be easily locked, restricting access to the pool for the kids - which was reassuring from a safety perspective. The provisions that were left for us were very generous and great to have bread, milk, tea, coffee and butter, juice - and wine! The neighbourhood is quiet, which suited us, but is within a five minute drive of Playa Blanca. We hired a car, which was easy for us. The villa is a two minute walk to the bus stop and the buses are quite regular.
What was really great was that we could use the facilities of Princess Yaiza family resort as non-residents (kids club, beach, family entertainment and restaurants), yet still have the space for the family in Villa Citrus. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. We even left an item behind us, which Maureen very kindly helped organise to get it back to us. A memorable and happy holiday with the family.

“Welcoming with home comforts”
Reviewed 15 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Stayed here 3-13th September, what a wonderful place.
Central to everything but far enough away from the main town to enjoy peaceful lounging round the pool.
On arrival we were welcomed with by a homely villas and a lovely bottle of wine chilling in the fridge alokalokng with bread, tea and coffee. The villa was clean, comfortable and a good size for my husband and I. It boasts a pool, warm each day we went in it and rooms of good size. Air conditioning would be a plus but there are fans provided.
Maureen and Mike (pool maintenance) are both helpful and quick to respond to emails/phonecalls with any queries you may have. This certainly added to our holiday being a relaxing one. Nothing is too much trouble and it was very much appreciated by ourselves.
There is a bus every half hour going to one end of the island or the other for €1.40 each (flat rate) or a taxi whichi are always riding about so just flag one down. We would advise using the buses as they're cheap and take you round the whole of Playa Blanca for the same price.
Restaurants are a 5 minute bus ride to the Marina Rubicon or a 20 minute walk along the coastal path which you can get to just down the road from the villa. Or visit other towns, there's plenty to choose from and the buses run till about 11 pm.
Any trips you book through agencies will usually pick you up at a hotal 10 minutes walk away from Villa Citrus. So don't hesitate to book any adventure. Many reps have told us that Playa Blanca, especially the Marina was the best place for beaches and restaurants. After our stay we agree.
This villa is perfect. The villa is set in a quiet location with a lovely pool and all the facilities you need on a holiday. Even a washing machine if you feel the need. It is also convenient for public transport and a good base to enjoy a holiday of rest and relaxation.
