We arranged a large family holiday (parents & 3 adult children and their families) so chose this all-inclusive resort. Within hours of arrival we nearly turned around and went home. Many of our party have stayed in all inclusive resorts in the past and were keen to point out to the others that this was far from typical.
The hotel is in two halves, with the same room numbers in each, which caused confusion at every turn (especially when requesting towels/pillows etc). They actually ran out of pillows, so some of our party had to go without.
As other reviewers have said, the whole place was full of tattooed parents letting their kids run wild. I dared to suggest a child shouldn't be poking the food in the self-service restaurant and got aggressive comments from her parents.
The rooms were clean and the grounds well maintained, but the 16 pools they advertise are actually one main "entertainment" pool, which was filthy, an "adults only" pool, which was closed all week, 6 paddling pools (2 of which were under repair) and 8 small pools in the apartment areas.
There is an "Entertainment Dome" where the staff squeak and shout into microphones or try to sing and a single "Tavern" which is the only place to go in the evenings. We found the second dome at the end of our week. It was much more pleasant as it was all in Spanish.
In terms of refreshments, there were 2 pool bars, one shut at 5 and the other at 6pm on the dot (queue or no queue) and were the only places you could get a drink. After this, it was the tavern - a hotel of this size meant people walked a considerable distance for any refreshment.
There are two self service restaurants where the food was quite good (and varied) and the staff mostly pleasant, but pursuading them to allow us to sit together was quite a challenge. Other than that there is a pizza and a tapas restaurant. Only one booking is permitted per room per week, so we thought it might be special. The pizza restaurant wasn't too bad, but the tapas only had 2 waiters, so the service was appalling.
We had reason to need a doctor while we were there, and there is one on site. The reception staff neglected to inform us that this was a private doctor who charged 200 euros for a misdiagnosis. (Luckily we saw our own doctor on our return and got the correct treatment).
All in all, if you want a pleasant atmosphere, with available refreshments, go anywhere else than here!
