I stayed at this hotel for 11 nights in January for my birthday.
Safe deposit boxes are available at reception
The accommmodation is All Inclusive bungalows with kitchen/lounge. Crockery, cutlery, microwave and fridge are provided together with a wall mounted television.
Each block has two ajoining bungalows with connecting interior door if required.
Rooms are cleaned 5 times a week.
The staff and service provided was excellent.
The restaurant provided a very good selection of food at all meal times. The food variety was always changing so you never got the repetitive feeling after a week.
Sometimes there was a waiting period for freshly cooked meat and fish which did let the resaurant down. The new manager has taken that problem onboard and it should now be resolved.
There is a pool bar and a main reception bar. In winter only one of the bars is open at any time.
The pool area was always well maintained with plenty of sun beds, tables and chairs. There was also shaded areas at the pool for those who cannot take full sun.
Certain drinks are not available without payment to All Inclusive clients. Having said that I found no problem in finding a suitable drink that met my mood at the time within the All Inclusive list.
This hotel would be ideal for families.
Attached to the hotel is a water park which opened last year. It is not very large but has enough slides for both children and adults. The is also a lazy river and a wave pool.
There is a snack bar and ice cream parlour in the park.
Entrance is free to All Iclusive clients and you can visit as many times as you wish during your stay. Food and drink is also free in the park to All Inclusive clients
Having the water park is a bonus as if you were to visit from the outside that would cost you 20 euros each plus whatever you then spent on food and drink.
The animations team worked hard and the evening entertainment was very good.
In the winter the entertainment is held inside and in the summer by the pool.
My only concern with the hotel would be the lack of air conditioning in the bungalows in the summer although fans can be hired.
The hotel location is about 5 minutes walk from the promenade.

Room Tip: The further away from the pool area you are then the quieter the location.

Just back from one weeks AI at this hotel. It was recommended to me by the travel agent as a good family hotel and the splash part played a big part in me chosing this as my daughter is a big fan of chutes/ slides etc.

A couple of negatives to start with:

It seems all rooms have a coffee perculator as standard , so if you want a kettle you need to ask for it.

There are 3 pools , and as some people have commented in previous reviews , the big pool is absolutely freezing, in over 25 years of doing package hotels, this is by far the coldest ive ever experienced a swimming pool, absolutely freezing so beware if your travelling in winter.

The room was quite chilly at night also which we werent really prepared for, so again if your travelling in winter, take some jumpers for evening time.

The tv is not plasma as stated in brochure but a 21" portable which is on the wall, you need to hire a remote for €20 which is returnable, a few grainy channels to watch with the only English one being BBC world news.

Positives:

I liked the fact it had a separate room, normally we book hotel only with everyone in the same place, having the room seperate was a bonus for me.

The bungalows were clean and tidy with cleaning service in 5 of the 7 days. Pretty spacious room with 2 quite big single beds and a cot for our youngest daughter. Decent size living room with coffee table and kitchen attached with electric hob and microwave.

Nice big toilet with bath and shower, nice touch to supply baby bath for our youngest .

A nice porch with table and chairs and sun lounger.

The food in the restaurant was very good, plenty of choice and no big queues at the servery. The second part of our week coincided with the half term and this did lead to small queues forming at the start of evening meals but they reacted by opening earlier and extending the eating time. The waiting time didnt seem to long at these points.

The staff in the restaurant were pleasant and chatty and were always on the go , keeping tables clear etc.

The best part of this hotel was the daytime activities for the kids, if you or the kids wish they can go to one club or another every day. The animation team were very good with the kids and kept them all going .

The mini disco at night is also very good and all the kids loved it, a special mention to Danny from the animation team, fantastic at getting everyone involved including the adults.

Some of the adult stuff at night was hit and miss but 10 out of 10 for trying.

The aqua park is the USP of this hotel and it is very good with plenty of chutes and slides to keep everyone happy. It comes as part of the deal so its well worth getting your moneys worth. My only issue with this is that the height restriction is 120 cm and my daughter was 1 cm below and they wouldn't allow her on the bigger slides, but she loved the kids slides.

I'd recommend this and would definitely go back.

Room Tip: Ask for a room next to the paths, ours back facing with the view being a fence and bushes with limit...

We travelled as a family of 5, 3 adults (2 were grandparents) and 2 children age 13 and 9. We had a wonderful time. The hotel is very clean and tidy and the staff are all very friendly. The bungalows are a touch on the small side but with the outside space to them this makes them feel bigger. As we were a group of 5 we had 2 rooms and they were interlinked which worked really well. We stayed in block 4 which was perfect. The heated pool was nice and all 3 pools were very clean. The daytime entertainment for all kids and adults was varied and plenty of it if you like to join in. The evening entertainment had some good shows, there was the odd night which was a little dodgy and it did end early around 10 some nights, but then it is a kids resort. The bar thankful did stay open. They have a games room with pool tables and air hockey and other things which was good for the older children. The food was varied and had a good selection each night. Occasionally they would run low on items (wine & chips-lol) but this was nothing major. The staff work really hard and tables were always cleared. The location of the hotel is perfect for the beach as there is a gate at the back of the complex which takes you straight to the beach. If you want to go to Playa Blanca its about a 15 minute walk but it's worth it. If you are looking for somewhere safe and clean and a good base with friendly visitors and staff then I would recommend here. We will certainly be returning later in the year. Oh the water park is good as well. My children spent most of their days in there. This is a 3 star plus hotel and was worth every penny.

This is the first year this hotel has been AI and it needs tweaking in certain areas. Staff wonderful, quality of food great but was always cold and the grill counter the chef could not keep up to speed hence ppl were always waiting for about 20mins for the food and then it was gone in an instance until the next lot was ready. Choice of AI drinks very poor and had to pay for quite a few including water. Maid service only 5 days a week and had Wed & Fri off which seemed a bit strange. No porter service and no waiter service at meals - had to set up our own table on a great number of occasions and also had to fetch our own drinks. Entertainment was brilliant but day time entertainment no really advertised. Think it is overpriced for what you get unless you use the water park every day which you dont have to pay for if you use this hotel.

Room Tip: The rooms all seemed quiet but the ones away from the main area would be better if you want a quiet...

Stayed here in Feb 2012 for one night which was enough. The resort is maybe a little far from the centre of Playa Blanca. Accommodation is in the form of small bungalows. That sounds okay, but at the time it was a but of a ghost town, although I appreciate it was out of season. The inside of our two sharing bungalow had what you need I suppose but it just seemed a little bleak and cut off, unlike in a standard hotel. There was some major building works going on when we stayed. This didnt bother us as we were there for only a night but it made some guests very annoyed and their request to be moved to a bungalow on a different side seemed to fall on deaf ears. We didn't eat here as it wasn't included in the budget fee. we had a couple of night caps in the bar after coming in from a meal and the bar area was not particularly inviting or relaxing at all and with little atmosphere. If the complex was nearer to playa blanca centre then maybe a full holiday stay would be manageable. Otherwise, it is not a place I would book to spend a holiday.

We went on a family vacation in mid january 2013.
3 adults and two children. We had booked two bungalows, but by opening the doors between the bungalows, we sort of made it one bungalow.

We were all inclusive guests.
In the all inclusive benefits was a free access to a new waterpark "Aqua Lava", which lies just beside lanzasur. The waterpark was great funfor both the children and the adults.

The bungalows were clean.
But they are a bit chilly at night and both my wife and I were actually freezing several nigths. I guess it's understandable that they don't insulate houses, but one should be aware that the bungalows get cold at nighttime at least in the winter season.
Our bungalow had an old flat screen TV with some local and different European channels which came in a bad quality.
There is a little kitchen with af fridge and an electric kettle to boil water and some hotplates.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served sligthly late at 8.00, 12.30 and 18.30. Our youngest child is 3 years old, and he is used to having his breakfast a little earlier than 8 am.

The food was very good. A big variety each time we went to the resteaurant for either breakfast, lunch or dinner. Don't expect to go hungry.
3 different kind of juice, the most known soda brands, beer, redwine, whitewine and rosé.
Drinks like gin & tonic, brandy, rom & coke, whiskey, vodka, several kind of coffees etc were also included in the all inclusive concept.

The service staff in the restaurant were awesome. Always with a welcoming smile. (maybe they could learn their colleagues in the reception how to smile). But all the staff in general had that possitive energy, except the reception staff.

Lanzasur is very "children friendly". Many activities for the children each day and each night at 19.45 their was a childen disco. Their is also a children club.
For the adults their is training fascilites - and some... well... ok entertainment each night.

There is a wifi area next to the restaurant. You also have the option to use their computeres with internet acces. 1 euro gives you 10 minutes, however there are only two computeres available.
Their is also a little store where you can buy what you need, so you don't have to leave the area.

Lanzasur is about 5-10 minutes of walking distance from Playa Blanca. Playa Blanca is not the most interesting place, but it does offer a nice walk along the sea and also restaurants and shopping.

Lanzasur is located close to the mountain/volcano" Montana Baja. If you want to climb it, just go to the main road. Look for the signs to Montana Baja and you can't miss it.
If you do climb the mountain you will be rewarded with spectacular views. There is a big crater in the middle. You can go down in the crater or you can walk around. Most people is able to do the climbing.

A week in the sun was fine. But the place is not interesting enough for two weeks. If you stay longer you should hire a car otherwise it could get a bit booring. Lanzarote doesn't offer quite as much as other Canary Islands like Tenerife or Grand Canaria.

However we were very satisfied with our stay, but we do have one thing we want to critizise.
There are 3 pools in lanzasur. A big one, a medium one and a little one (for the smallest children I suppose). Only the medium pool was heated, which meant that no one used the big pool or the smallest pool. So everybody used the medium pool.

Try it, you will experince that the big pool is freezing cold - we saw only 2 peolpe use the pool all week and one of them wore a t-shirt. So our advice to Lanzasur? Heat up the pool, so people can use it in other months than in the summer.

We recommend Lanzasur to families or people who just want to stay one place and enjoy the sun.

Room Tip: If you enjoy silence, then make sure your bungalow isn't next to the water park. In the opening...

Our stay at the Lanzasur Club was unfortunately very brief , but despite this, we would still like to offer our views, based on the time that we were there.
We had been booked into the Hotel Corbeta, which is a short distance away, but due to overbooking there, we were transferred to the Lanzasur Club for an overnight stay. We arrived at about 5.pm. and left the following day at about 14.00.
It certainly looks much better than the Corbeta, which from the outside is a little shabby. The Lanzasur Club has a very impressive lobby/reception and the guy who checked us in was very friendly and very helpful.
Our bungalow was easy to find and we were pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. Very modern and very clean.
After settling in we decided to have a look around the complex and found it to be very clean and well looked after. We didn't get to use the swimming pools, but they certainly looked very inviting.
During our stay there we were All Inclusive and really enjoyed the food. Plenty of choice and a very pleasant dining area.
All the staff were very friendly and nothing seemed to be too much trouble.
Compared to the Hotel Corbeta, it is a very short walk to the beach (Flamingo Beach).
All in all, we were very happy at the Lanzasur Club and would have been more than happy to stay there for the rest of the week.
