Me and my partner returned from cay beach on Tuesday, after spending the week there. This was our second stay here and once again can not complain. Friendly staff, 2 good sized pools and the shop on site has everything you need and isn't overly expensive. We had room 851 overlooking the pool and right above the shop - fantastic view!
All in all a great week at cay beach and we will definitely return again!

We stayed at Cay Beach Sun for a week in mid June. Really enjoyed our stay and could not find fault with the place. Apartment was good size and we found beds comfortable, even the extra bed for my daughter was comfortable. The kids used the wi-fi which worked fine but only one of them could access it at a time so that caused problems ! Extra charge for wi-fi and air conditioning but we did not bother with air conditioning. We went self catering so cannot comment on food. Snacks at pool bar were very nice. Some of the sun bed were broken but most were okay. Pool area was lovely. 7 minute walk to beach and seafront All in all a lovely place and I would stay here again. Only criticism was lack of entertainment in evening/night time. Very quiet with everything closed at 11pm.

We spent 10 nights in Caybeach Sun. Good facilities, lovely reception, lovely rooms, spotless pools and surrounding areas. We were really happy with our room, more spacious than other accommodation we had previously stayed in, cleaning ladies very thorough. Couldn't comment on food as we went self catering, little shop on complex had everything. Very quiet spot, very family orientated, I was happy to let our 11 year old off to run around with newly made friends as I felt it was very safe. Staff very helpful. The only downside was the entertainment at night, the disco was for very small tots, not at all suitable for teenagers or adults, bingo consists of one game only ~( I can't complain as I won the bottle of plonk). No entertainers, no entertainment for adults, in saying that we were very happy to potter down the town to the shops or go to the nearby marina to listen to musicians. Beds were hard but what can you expect, you pay for what you get. Overall we would all recommend this accommodation and return in the future. Lifeguard on the pool at all times which was great.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the pool, as some are built in a U shape and you end up looking at each other acro...

Second stay at this hotel and for the price you cant fault it for location and service.
I stayed here in Sept 2013 and again in June 2014 and really enjoyed.
Two good sized pools and just a 10min walk to Playa Dorada beach (which is awesome)
I stayed S/C on both occasions so I cant comment on the food, the pool bar is ok but expensive with beer 2Euros a cup (approx half pint) but the on site shop has cold cans/bottles much cheaper so buy from there.
On the third day of my week stay I reported to the lady in reception that I wasn't happy with the beds in my apartment (too hard) and enquired if I could get a mattress topper or something to make them a little softer.
2 hours later there was a knock at the apartment door and 2 brand new mattresses were quickly and efficiently installed with fresh beding...now that's what I call great service well done Caybeach.
The No30 bus stops just around the corner to the left of the hotel as you come out of reception and for 1.75Euro you can travel from one end of PB to the other so great for the volcano and the papagayo beaches.
Not sure on the evening entertainment as we went out to the Icehouse for food almost everynight and then down to The Jungle Bar for live music and both were great.
So all in all The CayBeach is a good clean place and is value for money and I will def return.

Room Tip: Room 354 away from the pool towards the back of the complex is lovely and quiet

We always like to remain positive on holiday, little niggles can be overcome with a positive attitude. When we got to our apartment 2 of the windows didn't close properly but when we went to reception they had someone there in 30 mins, they didn't really fix them but they did shut! The staff were lovely and the apartment was fine with a lovely balcony! The pool area was great for kids, but not terribly relaxing. The only thing I couldn't forgive was the uncomfortable beds, I think the volcanic rock around the island may have been more comfy!
In summary, if you're picky don't go here, but if you just want a good base it's fine!

Room Tip: Try to get an upstairs room away from the pool if you like peace & quiet!

Hi,

This is really a question for the hotel. We are due to arrive on Monday 24th June 14 in the evening. Our party consists of 2 adults and 2 children (aged 4 and 2). I'm a little concerned about the sleeping arrangements for the children. Are they to sleep on the couch in the lounge? If so, are the doors secure enough so the children can not get out? Also will their bed be made up on arrival or will we have to do it?

What would the cost be to upgrade to a 2 bedroom appartment?

Look forward to your response

Mrs Roberts

Came back yesterday, wouldnt go back again! Lets put it this way was on the bus dropped all other people off at hotels me & my partner went past a hotel and both said oh my god look at that hotel it ended up being cay beach sun! Reception area lovely! Pool was okay half the sunbeds are broken, no word of a lie! Rooms were very dated. We were unable to stay in our beds due to being so uncomfortable everytime you moved you woke up sheets were very rough aswell! had to sleep on the sofa in living room! Bathrooms need a good touch up, cracks everywhere shower trickled with water... Dont bother with wifi it didnt work half the time and you have to pay! Floor was never cleaned my feet were black after being in the room 5 mins! Was self catering so cant comment on food but the chips were nice €1.50! shop on the campus was okay id suggest the croissants! 10-15 min walk from the town, 10+ chinese restaurants so i hope you like chinese!!! cab was €2.50 its very windy so be prepared to be blown around! Overall was a 'ok' experience but definetlly wouldnt return as thats my own opinion.
