13/04/2014 to 27/042014 £3000 1 bed apartment for me my wife and 2 daughters aged 9 and 12. Thomas Cook rep John friendly fairly knowledgeable, flight Monarch good, transfer good, check in easy quick. Apartment clean pools clean bit cold one heated a little bit. Staff superb friendly 10 out of 10 Tomi George fantastic. Yoga most days by pool teachers 9/10 mats 3/10. Table tennis tennis archery shooting boules all good kids club good waterpark at sister Hotel Paradise was ok bit small and old but ok for free. Food OK but limited choice for 2 weeks first week had a chef cooking fresh omelettes but was told during second week that not enough staff on to do fresh omelettes this was not acceptable for 4 star accommodation . lager was called Tropical 4.7% think it was watered down a bit but was pretty good no beer available. Local shorts ok better shorts you had to pay for fair enough overall may consider going going back but max week and price would need to be right. Playa Blanca clean and tidy beaches good clean. Got bad tummy last day not sure if it was food or booze or a bit of both. Heard of a few people being sick only 3 or 4 out of about 400 people. Towels good and clean sunbeds plentifull and good quality. wi fi poor.

I stayed here for 10 days from the 10th April till 20th April as a party of 5 with my family.
We were in apartment 605 which was on the second furthest row back, but the walk down to the pool, restaurant and bar wasn't a pain as we had a lovely view of the volcanoes, the sea, a glimpse of Fuerteventura and the well kept gardens.
The sunbeds by the pool were reserved by a lot of people but we never had trouble going down midafternoon and securing at least 3 sunbeds for ourselves. The poolside bar was very convenient with the staff always being very friendly and smiling. The pool was cold but fine once you're in.
The restaurant had plenty of variety of food. Each night has a theme from a different country. Chinese and Mexican nights were a particular favourite, but it was also great to try the local food on Canarian Night. The staff were very efficient and very friendly, always up for a chat and a laugh! They put it in a lot of effort and probably deserve more credit than they get.
The Dino Park at Paradise Island occupied a few of our days which were great fun. It was very good that we could have lunch, snacks and drink there included! The staff were also very friendly and helped me and made me feel better when I ripped my acrylic nail off (typical girl).
We went on a day out to Timanfaya National Park which is an amazing experience! We were able to stand on the only semi active volcano on the island, hold hot rocks from the volcano and ride on a camel up a volcano!
The area of Playa Blanca is beautiful. Lots of shops, amazing beach and clear blue water with plenty of water activities. There is also a perfectly clear view of nearby Fuerteventura. The Marina Rubicon, about a 10/15 minute walk from Playa Blanca is also well worth a visit!
The Animacion Team put in a lot of effort too, especially the short guy (sorry I forgot your name!!). The entertainment was usually over by 10.30 so it would have been nice to have something more.
All of the staff, including the cleaners, greeted us whenever we saw them around the hotel.
Also, there was a comment I read about drunken men drinking from morning right till the evening. This must be made up just to make it sound bad. No rowdiness at all. And no drunk men.
It was a very enjoyable holiday and I would love to visit again! Beautiful island with plenty to do. We all missed all the staff when we got home, especially Alberto from the restaurant! Thank you HL. Keep up the great work :-)

After reading all the mixed reviews we went on holiday with open minds. We are a family consisting of two adults and 3 children (17,14,12) and spent a week in a two bedroom bungalow.
Our first impressions were excellent with a very warm welcome on check-in and it got better from there. The public areas were immaculate and you could see the staff constantly cleaning and mopping. The bungalow was spotless with comfortable beds and clean bed-linen and towels. I can understand a previous comment about insufficient seating in the lounge for 5 but, as we tended to be out or sitting on the patio, this didn't prove to be a problem for us. The food was varied, plentiful and hot with something to suit even the pickiest eaters. Service in the restaurant was excellent with dirty plates being taken away speedily and with a smile.
The outdoor pools were a little chilly when we first got in but you soon warmed up. The pools and surrounding area were again immaculately kept. The only issue I had with the pool was people putting towels on sunbeds but then not seeming to turn up until the afternoon. There would have been enough loungers for everyone had people just used them whilst at the pool rather than preventing others from using them prior to their arrival. There were signs saying sun-lounger reservation was not allowed but this was definitely not enforced.
One tip I would give is to book your excursions through Low Cost Tours rather than Thomas Cook as they are multi-lingual, far cheaper and the local guides are much more knowledgeable. We didn't use any of the entertainment or kids clubs but others who did were saying it was the regular poor quality stuff you would get at holiday camps at home. We stayed all-inclusive and all the alcohol was of a perfectly adequate standard so no complaints there.
We had read that staff weren't always nice to English people but, in our experience, they could not have been nicer. Treat the staff as you would wish to be treated is possibly the key thing here!
We did go to the Dino Water Park at the sister hotel and, although we had fun, it confirmed that we made the right choice in choosing the quieter hotel as our base. The free hotel buses were an added bonus.
All in all, we had a fabulous holiday and would recommend Club Playa Blanca to everyone.

Room Tip: We were in room 401 and found it to be in a quiet area but close enough to the pool to be convenient...

Myself, wife and two children went to stay at Club Playa Blanca between 17 - 24 May along with our friends and their children. The hotel is excellent, food is excellent with plenty of choice. Though if your a vegi there's not much apart from fish, which my wife constantly ate. Not many downsides but the entertainment was rather poor during our stay. Staff friendly and helpful. Would visit again.

We stayed in the April half term , 2 adults and 3 kids. Upon arrival we were seen to very quickly, the receptionists were very helpful at all times. A lovely nice big reception area ! The bungalow was ok, only fault is lack of seating , one sofa to seat 5 , could do with an extra chair for bigger family's. Everything else in the bungalow was great, a tip though... Don't leave any food out on the work tops or table, the little ants will attack it . Plenty going on for kids in the day by the pool. Night time entertainment more suitable for younger children, my 12 year old was bored quite a lot. But the animation team were great, my 2 youngest especially loved aron ! Restaurant nice and big and plenty of staff that are very friendly , lots of choice of food , the desserts selection was overwhelming , so much that in the first nigh my son had a pick of everything nearly, resulting in a sick boy through the night . Very hard to get sunbeds , so get to the pool early, lots of seats with towels on but not occupied at all for hours . The free buses to the beach , and waterpark are fabulous . Would definetly visit again :-)

Dear Guest,

Thanks a lot for your feedback.

It is indeed a very good advice you have given not to leave the food outside. As all our bungalows are freestanding in a wonderful garden there are a few insect that appreciate some leftovers :).

We would like to thank you for having spent your vacation with us and are looking forward to have you back with us.

We are a family of 4, with two teenage kids. The accommodation is the most spacious and flexible we have encountered on four trips abroad. Two large bedrooms and a lounge is great - an en-suite would have been even better, but that's getting fussy.

Hotel has the benefit of being the first drop off on the airport transfer :-) it's also a lovely evening stroll into the town (although the bus station in Playa Blanca isn't going to win any architectural prizes)

All inclusive food was good enough considering the price paid. The all inclusive drinks are standard fayre and good enough considering the price paid.

The animation team did a good job during the day and evening. The only flops were the evenings they didn't run the show - some interesting musac!

My son and I went Go karting - great fun, with free transfers. The volcano trip is worth doing for the experience of holding hot stones dug from a metre below the surface.

All in all good value for money - so much so we've booked to go back in Feb 1/2 term

Room Tip: Any in the 300-800's

We really enjoyed this holiday and would defo return to Club Playa Blanca again. Apartments were ideal for a family with teenage children as two separate bedrooms and a living area. The double bed was made up of two singles and was massive and the bedroom very large. Good sized bathroom with two sinks and a large fridge in living area. Apartment was kept very clean. Nice family feel hotel with very pleasant staff especially in Restaurant. Young Hotel Manager was lovely he could not do enough for you. Food very diverse and not always very good choice for young children but very good for adults and always something they could choose. If booking any trip would highly recommend Tourist Tickets on the seafront near the boat trips. Run by Phil from Blackpool! Was excellent gave us a free trip as we booked 4 through him and said if could not go for any reason would give us a full refund. Trip to Volcanoe was much cheaper than with Thomas Cook. Did submarine trip which was good and gave us Teguise Market free which was worthwhile. Went to MHT show in Porto Del Carmen as well which was good but not really suitable for children as went on a bit too long with raffle etc.
