We returned on the 13/7 after a wonderful week with our 16 year old daughter (the booking requirement is 16 years old and over, although it was mostly couples in their 20's or over 50's) We stayed at no 4, a 2 bed apartment which we paid a supplement for as there were only 3 of us, other couples were upgraded to a 2 bed apartment for free, lucky them! ) Our rooms were kept beautifully clean, the towels were regularly changed, beds made & the complex staff were all lovely.....our only comment was the bathroom could be updated. We also had a large balcony off the main bedroom. The pool was fabulous, most of the time it was empty as people rarely used it but sun-beds were an issue although you could always get a lounger and the staff were happy to carry it to where you wanted to sit. Most of the time the same people bagged the sun-beds with their towels & the staff do need to take control of this. However,if you do not make them aware of this or anything else you are not happy about at the time of your stay how can they do anything about it? We ate in the sunset lounge by the pool & the food was good & reasonable, the reception staff & Becky the Thomson rep were all very helpful, on our last day we had to leave the room at 12 but there were shower rooms & towels & toiletries were available to use so you could stay by the pool until the last minute enjoying the sun! The surrounding area is great, plenty of restaurants and the beach is not far, we would definitely all return again !

Myself and my wife stayed here for a week in early July, in a premier sea-view room, self-catering.

Firstly in response to an earlier review - we were also shown to apartment no.18 by the far from friendly gentleman on reception (on the 4th July - the day before you I believe). When I questioned the sea-view the gentleman pointed towards the "sea-glimpse" in the distance (through a fence and over some waste ground), and showed us the apartment. I was far from impressed by the lack of premier facilities advertised. I returned to reception and asked where the air conditioning was - he said there were two air-con units, one in the lounge and one in a bedroom, and gave me a remote to control said units. Thinking I may have missed them I returned to the apartment - NO AIR CON! Rang reception and he said there was air-con and would show us. 5 mins later he turned up and pretended to be surprised that there wasn't!! I think he was hoping to fob us off, and was blatantly lying. So he then showed us to another room which did offer the premier facilities and sea-view we'd paid for - so don't let them fool you!! This left a sour taste in my mouth at the very start of our break.

After all that the air-con in the room was rubbish. After complaining so much initially I could not be bothered anymore. Apartment okay for price- decent size and facilities. TV with some English channels - BBC 1, ITV, C4 and a couple of news channels. Both bath towels and beach towels provided, the latter which could be taken out of the hotel. A good idea, as it saves having to pack your own. Regular cleaning and towel changes. Free Wi-Fi throughout was also a plus point.

Apartments are right next to the marina, with a shopping centre and restaurants literally a stones throw away. The pool area overlooks the marina and is well kept. The bar seemed decent, with friendly staff. Though they seemed to offer a waiter service for specific customers but not all, with complimentary snacks. Not sure how you qualified for these extras, but we were never offered despite buying drinks most days.

We managed to get sunbeds whenever we wanted, but I think this was a combination of being early starters (~9:00) and at other times luck. The hotel have a rule of no reserving sunbeds, which they don't enforce. Whilst going for my morning run I saw a young woman in her pyjamas at 7:30 laying towels out for her and her overweight family!! They would then return about 3 hours later to use the sunbeds, before vanishing again shortly after (for lunch no doubt), with towels left on the beds. This seemed to be a common practice. Selfish, selfish people!!

We also noticed a large number of guests that were clearly not adults - 16 at very most. I wouldn't consider this to be adults only.

Overall the Pueblo was only an average holiday. They could offer so much more with some minor changes and offering the accommodation that has actually been paid for.

Room Tip: Make sure you get what you have paid for

Just stayed at this hotel for 8 days arriving back home on 13th. First of all, considering this is advertised as an 'Adults only' complex, I was a little confused by the number of teenagers I saw. Some with their parents but some staying there alone. They may well have been 16 (still not 'adult') but most looked 14.
The sun loungers, we never got to lie on once during our 8 day stay as either the same faces were on them in their usual 'spot' or they were reserved with towels. We felt that we never got to use all amenities including the main pool because of this.
The rooms themselves are large and are on 2 floors (we were allocated a 2 bedroom for 2 people - no 18) with a lounge area, dining table, kitchen and toilet on the ground floor with a terrace and 2 bedrooms, bathroom, toilet and balcony on upper floor. This was 'sea view' but you had to look through a wire fence to view the sea and although the 'Premier' is advertised as including slippers, bath robes, toiletries, dvd player, ipod docking station and pool towels, we were only provided with the bath robes and pool towels.
The apartments were not cleaned very well at all and on arrival, my feet were covered in dirt and sand after walking on the floor.
We had 2 (?) coffee makers, kettle, toaster, hob and microwave, so we had what was needed to make breakfast although the pots and cutlery were not cleaned very well.
The bathroom was ok apart from a metal screw sticking out of the floor next to the bath and if my partner hadn't have pointed this out, it would have gone through my foot. We had to mend the shower rail as it wouldn't hold the shower.
There was 2 toilets in the apartment and the size of this apartment for space, has warranted my review of 3 stars otherwise this would have been 2.
From the outside, the apartments do look very nice and modern but once inside, they look like they have not been decorated since the 1980's with green and yellow decor - not the brown and cream as in the photographs.
The staff are pleasant and helpful. We had assisance with our suitcases and the pools are regularly cleaned by the friendly staff who said hello every day.
It is solely the dismal apartment and lack of sunbed and pool use that spoilt this for us. We noticed that a couple arriving on the day we left, had refused their room and were immediately allocated another (better) room. When we asked for a late checkout, we were told it was full - when clearly, we could have had a room until 3pm as people were not arriving until 4-5pm. We never complained about anything at the time as we were only there for 8 nights so "put up" with it. Maybe we should be like other people and complain there and then?
After 4 days of our stay we were offered a stay of our last 3 nights at their 'sister' hotel in Costa Teguise (reasons were not given but we can only assume this was because they had overbooked) with all inclusive and taxi paid for. We didn't want to have the hassle of packing and unpacking again but only wish we had taken up the offer now. We only saw Paco (we assume it was him) on the last day so never really got to meet the guy whom everyone praised as we chose to leave the complex every day because we could not find a space around the pool. We even went down to the main pool at 9am and the same faces were perched on the beds and saving them for th rest of the family or there were towels left on there.
The location is good and there is a nice beach nearby - Playa Dorada - although it is advised to get there early as it can become busy. It costs 9 euros for 2 beds and parasol. The walk on the promenade is pleasant and there are nice restaurants, bars and shops along the way.
I would ask Pueblo Marinero to stop advertising the Premier as they do on the website because a lot of guests are unhappy with what you actually provide. This is false advertising. Also, update the rooms and take the towels of unused sun loungers so ALL guest have the pleasure of using them - not just the early (4am) risers. Please also check the ages of your guests as a lot of them do not look old enough.and adults do actually book this thinking they're all adult guests - not teenagers.

Room Tip: If you book premier, make sure it is actually premier that you are allocated and don't be fobbed off..

like a lot of other people, we just keep on coming back
Staff considerate and helpful
refurbishment has made a great difference, just a shame they can't automate the sun beds around the pool to reject towels placed during frequent attempts to block other users

see you in November

Just returned from one weeks holiday here and would like to say thanks to all the staff they were excellent. The hotel is lovely let down by the rooms. We upgraded to a premier room and my advice is not to bother the rooms look nothing like what's advertised online. Room was only cleaned on our third day after I asked at reception if we could have clean towels for the next day. Room was cleaned next day but that was it for the rest of our stay. Rooms really only warrant a 2 star rating but pool area and reception and staff definitely deserve the 4 stars. Location fantastic.
