Came across this tapas bar by accident a couple of days before the end our holiday and what a find it was. We popped in at lunchtime for a supposed quick drink and found ourselves staying for about an hour and a half. With every drink you order they give you a small bite to eat and given that we had five drinks we just had about enough for our lunch. The little freebies were little triangular sandwiches, salad with Mayo, paella and a mini quiche ,all of which were so tasty. The bar has only been opened a month and is run by a husband and wife from Galicia in Spain. Our bill for five large beers and five glasses of wine was 20 euros. They speak very little English but are so friendly and welcoming, quite a change from the normal surly and unhappy waiters we have come across this holiday. We looked at the menu which is not substantial and agreed to go on our last night for food. What a night! We ordered a bottle of the house red which we had tasted the day before. Again we received little sandwiches for free. We ordered half portions of chicken and creamy mushroom sauce, crispy chicken, steak with caramelised onions on toasted bread and a portion of batatas bravas. Every dish was outstanding and beautifully presented but our favourite had to be the steak, it was wonderful and very substantial for a tapas. The Spanish chef was also owns the place came out regularly to speak to us and we some really funny attempts at communicating. When we had finished the tapas, little complimentary chocolate profiteroles were brought out to us. During the night the chef and some of his friends made a Galician speciality liqueur on the floor in the restaurant with a mixture of fruit and some sort of liquid. The whole thing was flaming a way for about forty minutes and the little shots were poured and given free to everyone- this was potent. We asked for the bill and for a bottle of house red plus three other glasses of red and three large beers along with the four tapas the bill came to 44 euros - absolutely fantastic value. Without a doubt the best night we had in Playa Blanca. You must go there , this place is outstanding.

We found this tapas bar by accident and it turned out to be a little gem.
We called in for lunch and it was delightful.
We had a proper tapas prepared by a Spanish chef who spoke little English but sent out a small portion of paella for us to eat whilst we worked out the menu.
We ordered 3 dishes and the portions were huge.
The food was very tasty and the staff were marvellous.
We also had 4 pints of local lager to wash it down and the grand total for all of this was...19 euros.
This bar is on El Correillo - the street above pedestrian precinct near the main harbour.
