Torre Nova has everything you could want for a perfect holiday. Stylish accommodation, great hosts (Geert and Jacqueline), who made us feel very welcome, beautiful swimming pool in a peaceful countryside setting. It is set on the edge of a small village and you get a taste of the real Spain. A great base to explore Catalunya and the local countryside. Don't miss Monserrat or Barcelona, and look out for the local bird life.

For our first visit to Catalonia, we were looking for a place where we could have a relaxing family holiday in picturesque surroundings, and combine this with visits to Barcelona and other attractions. Torre Nova ticked all the boxes perfectly.
Located in a small village with fine views of the surrounding countryside, the atmosphere at Torre Nova is lovely and relaxed. With only 7 apartments, there is plenty of space in the gardens around the pool, and shady areas for the hottest part of the day. We stayed in the Montserrat apartment on the 2nd floor which was spacious with a very large balcony and stunning views.
Geert and Jacqueline were very welcoming hosts and provided lots of helpful info on places to visit and restaurants. A car is essential (ideally with sat nav) to explore the area, but the roads are good and during our visit (late June/early July) were generally fairly quiet, so getting around is easy (even for those used to driving on the left !). Having said this, you can walk out of the garden and be straight into the countryside where there are several trails.
It would be ideal for families with young children, but our teenagers were also very happy, helped by trips to Barcelona and Sitges and the free wifi in the apartment.
The stunning Montserrat mountain is very easy to get to from Torre Nova and some of the local restaurants are superb - particularly Castell d'Orpi and La Tossa de Montbui.

Torre Nova was as we expected after reading Tripadvisor. We had a lovely vacation with our family. The children enjoyed the swimmingpool and the icecream. They also liked the pingpong table and the bordgames they borrowed. The adults enjoyed relaxing with some wine and tapas at the terrace watching the beautiful sunset. People in the village was very friendly and we had several dinners at the restaurant across the street. The location is good for daytrips, we went to Sitges, Montserrat and for Cava tasting. I heard we were the first Swedish people at Torre Nova, I am sure we will not be the last :)

Room Tip: The view from the bodega terrace is beautiful!

We were lookig for a relaxing stay outside Barcelona and Torre Nova was perfect. It is in a small village in the middle of what seems like endless wine country. It's only 45mins to central Barcelona and the beaches of Sitges. Geert and Jacqueline are the most welcoming hosts who are lovingly restoring an historic estate. They provided us with many tips for short hikes and scenic drives which made out stay very enjoyable. The village locals are all lovely and were very accommodating of our poor Spanish! The local restaurant serves good honest Spanish food.

In short, we loved this place and will definitely be back to explore Barcelona again and to spend more time relaxing at the Torre Nova.

Having been fortunate enough to have stumbled across Torre Nova last year and joined Jacqueline and Geert in their first year of business (see previous review) we had such a great time that we returned this year. We were not disappointed. There are now 7 wonderful apartments but the grounds and pool provide ample space for all to relax and enjoy. Extra shading areas have been added to the pool area to relax away from the beautiful Spanish sun. It is difficult to describe how tranquil and relaxing the location is but both my wife and I find it the ideal getaway after a busy working year. We had our 12/13yr old children with us and they love it as well. This really is an ideal haven for those wishing to visit the hustle and bustle of Barcelona by day returning to peace in the mountains in the evening. One wonderful addition this year was the restaurant at Castell Orpi (review to follow) it is some place. We also visited a number of other Spanish villages and witnessed the human tower building in Villafranca which was an incredible experience. The Brits haven't yet embraced the wonders of Torre Nova in great numbers give it a go you will not be disappointed but don't forget your car.

This residence and location is fabulous. Whilst in England we wanted some sun and rest so we flew to Barcelona and the short drive took us to this house which whatever the weather or your intention on visiting the mountains of the Pyrennes or Barcelona city or the beaches of Sitges provides you an ideal base for this whole range. The pool and the main house is immaculate. We offered to move apartments during our stay and both were fantastic. The standard of finish (my husband is a surveyor and barrister and deals in construction disputes - so he is happy to criticise and survey places - but during this holiday we were both delighted with the standard of finishes. Geert and Jacqueline were wonderful at giving us space and yet always providing help and advice. We stayed with our 10 month old baby Son and he was very well provided for and was happy throughout - including eating the local Spanish baby food and using the nappies sold in the corner shop, so we say it is an ideal place if you have a baby. The locals were very friendly. A good place indeed.

Traveling for business with my family, I was concerned that my wife and daughter would be bored when I was at work. Geert and Jacqueline took care of that concern by showing them around the town, going for hikes on the many trails that leave directly from the property and making us feel more like we were visiting good friends. My daughter is 14 months and they provided us with a high chair, crib, toys and children's movies. I could not have asked for a better place to stay while traveling with family. When I did have time off, Geert and Jacqueline gave us good information on where to visit and good places to eat. La torre de Claramunt has everything you could need withing walking distance of the apartment, groceries, atm, restaurant, bakery, drugstore, etc... I can't wait to visit again when i don't have to work!

Room Tip: The southwest corner was very nice during December when it was cool, the sun kept the apartment nice...
