Hey,

Not much to say about this place.
For starters, fair price, indeed.
But once you're there, parking lots don't come cheap (12 Euros / day or 60 per week) - anyway, there's a workaround - free places are quite easy to find just on the other side of the hotel's fence.
Internet costs 20 Euros a week - even in the lobby !!! (what a pity - some hotel managers still live in the 70's, considering that in Barcelona, wifi is free even in public buses, and in this same hotel, internet access was free in the reception area, 4 years ago...)
However, even if you purchase internet access, do not expect miracles... On the 4th floor, you barely get any signal, unless you take your Alfa Network 1W wireless adapter along.
Otherwise - a cheap clean hotel with basic but quite spacy rooms, food's alright, and it's situated next to a small quiet beach.

The first thing I would stay is that H TOP hotels cater for school children holidays and if you want a relaxing stay then this is not the place for you. We had 3 such trips during our stay and they were very unruley. They were unsupervised and allowed to do anything they wanted while the teachers were either sunbathing or at the bar. They were playing football in the corridors and running around and screaming at all hours, when we complained the hotel staff informed us they had spoken to the teachers but they could nothing about it. The room was dirty and needed a good clean, although the sheets were clean the top bedding was dirty and made you feel you did not want to lie on it, we paid extra for a balcony with sea views only to discover we had been placed in the middle of the school corridor. The pool is not heated and was mostly unusuable as a result. The hotel facilities are basic and the entertainment was poor at best. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food began to get repetitive after only a few days. Although the choice was ample and quickly replenished it often seemed that there was not enough put out for the number of guests present. In bad weather there is nothing to do at the hotel, however, on sunny days it is perfectly placed for walks along the coast and into the local town. The old part of Girona is definately worth a visit and was a highlight of our stay. This was a very dissapointing stay to what was supposed to be a relaxing stay. Although I would go back to Spain I would NEVER go to stay in a H TOP hotel again. My advice, don't go here, don't stay in a H TOP hotel.

Room Tip: If you have to stay pay extra for a sea view and if you can make sure you are not accommodated in the corridor with school children.

A wonderful time spent at this hotel. Excellent restaurant, catering for all types of of tastes. Friendly staff. Clean swimming pool. Excellent location on the beach and close to bars and shops. Can't think of anything negative to say. Will certainly return there.

After reading some of the reviews was very apprehensive .On appearance of the hotel when we arrived I thought oh no all the bad reviews were true but I soon found out that its 50/50 .the hotel is 3 star our room was 1 star overlooked the car park and was very cramped and dated .the pool area was good and had a beautiful view of the beach, the staff are really really friendly and helpful .the entertainment was absolute rubbish .the food was actually ok better that I had hoped the beer estrella damn was very nice in fact all the soft drinks aswell were ok so if you are all inclusive you will get your monies worth the coffee was really nice as well. we went first week in june a week or two before the season really starts and the hotel was full of old Spanish. Queues at the bar was ok but can imagine waiting along time in peak.yes the beach is full of tiny little pebbles which you do get used to and great for getting all the dead skin of ur feet nice and smooth now .we did have a good week but will not be returning . two things saved this holiday from being not very good was the snorkelling this was amazing and the fact the kids met a couple on nice kids to play with .

Just returned from an 8 day stay with the family at the Caleta Palace and will definitely be returning again in the future. Ignore the posts from people who pay next to nothing and expect everything.

This was the second time that we have stayed at this hotel, and £700 for 7 days all inclusive (not inc flights) for a family of 4 during May half term you certainly get a great deal.

The hotel is spotlessly clean, and all the staff in reception / bar and dinning room were very friendly and helpful.

There was always plenty of things to eat at breakfast lunch and dinner, and although its mainly a hot buffet there is also a chef cooking fresh fish / meat at the grill section. We didn't experience any queuing issues that people mention either at the restaurant or the bar.

The location is right on the beach (not sand more shingle so take swim shoes) with lovely coves that were great to swim and snorkel in. We never had an issue getting a sun lounger no matter what time we went down to the pool which is another plus point.

The room we had (428) was a large 2 bed which overlooked the car park, and although basic it was perfect for what we needed. It was cleaned every day and fresh towels supplied.

Room Tip: High floors are quieter and if a family ask for a 2 bed as much bigger.
