Sanxenxo out of season is tranquil, peaceful and has a quietness that often eludes Spain.
We stayed in a small namely between sanxenxo and com barro. Our view was of the river estuary and all around are tiny beaches and woodland and lush greenery.
From our balcony we saw dolphins playing in the estuary, diving in and out of the Barras, where the fishermen work their seafood stocks. If you want a quiet break before the summer starts this is the place. The weather was wonderful, but we were lucky. Try it, it's worth the drive. Prices are very good this time of year too. The food is not bad and the people are very proud of their wines, in three weeks we did not hear one English voice. It is a land that stands still in time, until next month.
