If looking for a budget option, and not expecting much of services beside plain, decent room, appropriate for staying overnight, this is not the bad choice.
It is on walking distance from Railway station and Ede center, which is convenient for both city exploration as well as for fast and cheap access from when arriving/departuring.

We felt very at home from the moment we arrived at this hotel! Our room was clean and comfortable. All the staff were lovely and helpful and spoke excellent English! The breakfast was superb.....such a delicious choice and well laid out. The Hotel location was excellent, 5 mins walk to the town [or could be city] centre with lovely shops and eating places. We ate one evening in the hotel restaurant and it was nice...it seems it is very popular as it was always busy. We would sit in the lounge late evening and have some tea ....such a comfortable and tastefully decorated lounge and homely. We have nice memories of this hotel and that is mainly down to the lovely staff.....thank you all ! We loved Ede and Holland ....we will be back!

The hotel was easily found and well within walking distance from central Ede and staff spoke very good English.

The room was big with a door leading out to a roof. Seems to be the fire escape, but are you meant to go out there and enjoy the weather? Another guest did, just as I was changing t-shirts, which was a bit weird. He didn't look in our direction, fortunately.

The beds had proper sheets and the duvet was on properly (as opposed to folded in three as everywhere else). The Netherlands don't dub foreign language programmes, but subtitle them, so finally we could actually watch a film on TV and understand it! They also had reception of BBC2 (!), which was nice. This was toward the end of a three week holiday, so by now we couldn't help but count the days before we'd be back home.

Ede itself wasn't particularly interesting, as it turned out, but we found a big candy store with LOADS of salty liquorice choices for those so inclined (like fellow Scandinavians).

The hotel turned out to have VERY THIN WALLS, so we were a bit concerned at times, because it sounded as if someone would be about to come in to our room, when they were in fact unlocking the room next door. Sounded like there was an elephant in the room above.

We didn't sleep very well, because it was difficult falling asleep (see above), and the bed was a bit too soft for our liking, which didn't fit well with our pillows (we had brought our own). We prefer a harder bed, so if you like a softer bed, you should be fine.

Breakfast buffet had a nice selection, including a number of hot items (bacon, mushrooms, mini-sausages, scrambled eggs - result!). The hotel restaurant is called Cha House, and is a Thai restaurant. We decided to have dinner there the night before and it was TOTALLY WORTH IT. Absolutely delicious! The only darker beer they had was Kasteel Donker (11%, Belgian) and we can highly recommend that as well.

Really an OK, but nothing more, experience. Room was boiling hot, lift was comical but I was glad they had one. Staff were outstanding, but the room (216) really needed a total facelift, especially the 1980's blue tiled bathroom with the shortest tub I have ever seen. Breakfast was standard Dutch mini buffet. A grocery store was nearby which saved the day as I did not fancy sushi in the hotel restaurant. Parking is free, if you can get a space, there are about 20 or so first come, first served. Wifi is also free. I had previously stayed in a more remote hotel near Ede, but will likely pass on hotels in this town going forward since they seem to be very much "meh".

Nice Restuarant (Cha House) and bar. Good breakfast and japanese dishes for dinner. But the rooms are uncomfortable. The lift is so old-fashioned that my kids joked about it. The stairs are so steep that it scares a light-hearted person. The heater system makes disturbing noise and its not quite for rest in the day or evening. It actually did not offer good value for the money payed.

Not sure how this places receives its 3 stars, but it is certainly not for its rooms. We only needed a place to sleep and we found out that the beds were not that great + the rooms are just awful, waking up in them is not recommendable. All is very warn out and (perceived) dirty. Friendly personnel and a good looking restaurant next to it is just not good enough to make this experience any good.

We spent there one night but didn't enjoyed it. The room was old and sticky. The pillows smelled of smoke!
At least there was free parking outside and the breakfast was good!
It's quite close to the main entrance of the national park.
