“Big piece meat”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 December 2013

Very busy last week . Service good . we got big plate , lots of beans , and big piece,s of meat . And allso Ribs . But nothing was really crispy .
So , pre-cooked and than heated up . Can not say Mexican tast . It was just meat . And for me , i thaught that it was a little expensive . There was a lot left when we finished .

“Nice decor and good service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 May 2013

Went to El Comal at the end of April. It was very busy and I didn't have a reservation, but the kind waiter found me a spot. The service was excellent, but the food (although tasty) did not strike me as authentic Mexican. I had black bean soup, which while tasty, was a creamed bean soup. For my main course I had a pork souvlaki style meal with refriend beans and rice. Once again, tasty, but not Mexican flavoured at all, very creamy and rich. I must add that the food was tasty, but not what I had expected, having eaten authentic Mexican food south of the border. The rich creaminess would appeal to many people, but I was hoping for lighter fare.
