“Charming hotel, perfect location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2014

We had a great stay at the Hotel de Lindeboom. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. They provided a cot for our 3-year-old daughter, and even gave her a stuffed toy. The breakfast buffet, served in a bright solarium, was delicious. Best of all, the hotel is perfectly located, right in the main town square, a very short walk from some excellent restaurants and even a playground.

My husband and I stayed here on a Friday and Saturday night on our first visit to Texel. The staff were welcoming and professional. Our room was a good size and the hotel has been sympathetically modernised. It is well located within easy walking distance of cafes and restaurants. We spent the Saturday cycling the Island fuelled by a hearty and healthy continental breakfast. Will certainly return on our next Texel visit.

Stayed for 3 nights in a deluxe room with spa bath. The room and the bathroom were spacious with coffee and tea making facilities, but no mini bar is available. Free WiFi, car parking at 6.5 € / day, e-bike rental for 20 € /day. Aside from the fantastic location, the 2 restaurants 'De Lindeboom' en 'Het Schoutenhuys', the bar and the terrace, the friendly staff really lift the hotel to another level.

I enjoyed my stay on Texel and Vlieland and I was very happy to be their guest. Well done!

Always stay in de Lindeboom in den Burg Texel as it is the most welcoming freindly Hotel you are likely to find anywhere .
Great helpful staff with a lovely terrace and brasserie. Also a wonderful Restaurant , 'het Schoutenhuis' , which is the oldest building in den Burg .. Beautiful old style.
Top chef Pieter and his crew will delight you with Gerechies - an evening of small dishes that any Michelen star chef would be proud of .Also a substantial wine list.
Wonderful Irish style bar for a relaxing drink after a day cycling or walking in the Glorious Texel landscape.
Top rates, Top quality breakfast, Top staff one and all, Top restaurants, and terrace.
Not to be missed if you are ever lucky enough to Chill on Texel for a few day's .
Slainte , Proost , Cheers ...

Room Tip: Check out the special deals with different rooms and excursions ,Great rates to be had .

Good and clean hotel, with all the basic facilities in place.
Friendly and helpful staff. Den Burg has some nice restaurants and the best ones are a streetblock away from the hotel.

Private parking available right next to the hotel at 6,50 a day, saves you the trouble of driving around looking for a parking spot during high season.

What a cute Hotel right in the heart of such a gorgeous village. The location is perfect with great shops, restaurants and quaint little bars, all walking distance. Buses also run nearby to other villages on the island.

On arrival at the desk we were greeted very well. We were offered cloths to wash our hands as well as a little canapé on arrival. This was the only Hotel I have ever stayed at in Europe that has offered refreshment (free & yummy) on "Check In" at the desk, and for that reason alone I have given an extra "star". The child was given a cute little plush toy that she loved. After a tiring days travel it was all very welcome and we thank you for considering your clients needs so nicely.

The room we had was right up the top floor with a lovely window overlooking the square. The window opens right up without any barriers so not at all good if you were to have very young children as is is a 3 story easy fall out, but for us no problem, we loved the view. The day we arrived the room was spotless. It was too cramped with an uncomfortable fold out bed right at the doorway for our child, it made getting into the very small bathroom difficult. No blanket was on the bed as it was Summer but a cool change came in and ended up too cold. Spare blankets in the cupboard would be a good idea. The bathroom, although very small was clean for our first two nights stay. Our 3rd day it was not, maybe we were going to be leaving the next day so they didn't bother to clean it so nicely.

The beds were not very comfortable and the pillows were like sleeping on slabs of concrete which made a not so pleasant sleep. But on letting the staff know they said they would look into improving this. No tea & coffee making facilities or bar fridge were in the room.

The breakfast dining room is very nice with a very pleasant outlook. The selection of food was quite good. The scrambled eggs must have been popular as everyday they were running out. and it was fresh. The cakes were too good and made my waist line thicken so be warned!

Booking was easy with great communication from the Hotel, prompt and courteous.

Overall I would stay here again if ever we are lucky enough to ever return to this amazing country. But I would request a bigger room if we had 3 guests and bigger bathroom (if they have any). And softer bed and pillows!

And it was quite expensive compared to others we have stayed, I think for what (is not included) the rates could be a bit be lower.

Room Tip: Top floor is quiet. It has quite a few stairs so not for the unfit!

Stayed here very recently for a long weekend and enjoyed our stay. Breakfast and dinner were great and the staff incredibly friendly. Den Burg is a great base to enjoy the island and the public transport links were excellent.
