When I arrived in Urfa I had a bit of trouble adjusting, as few people spoke English and the town was difficult to navigate. I'm sceptical of Arte's claims to "bilingual staff" as I had trouble convincing reception that I'd already made a booking and paid a booking fee. Similarly, claims to "24-hour check-in" did not stand up as I had to wait an hour once I'd arrived.

That said, once I'd got my bearings, Arte was very comfortable and I ended up staying another two days. It is, as others have stated, centrally located and has a bus stop just outside that runs to Balikli Gol, the main tourist attraction in town. The hotel seems to be about the best value for money you'll find around town, but this being Eastern Turkey it's still quite expensive.

We found that the hotel was good and clean. The shower was excellent with plenty of hot water. The toilet and shower were separated by a sliding perspex screen.
The breakfast was a very good Turkish style meal. Surroundings were excellent.
Although English was a slight problem but the staff were friendly and helpful.
Rooms were clean and comfortable.
There was off street parking
Easy to find as the hotel is situated next door to the Belediye(council offices) in the city centre.

The hotel is worn and not clean, except for the restuarant. Staff in reception did not speak English, looked stressed and were uncaring. Our room overlooked the noisy main street and was very basic (2 star) with ancient TV with no international channels. The shower had large cracks (see photo). Better go to other hotels close by or even Ugur hostel which is cheap, clean and friendly. This is Bucket rather than a Boutique hotel.
