“Idyllic Dorset getaway for family & friends”

We had a wonderful stay at Chisel Barn recently. Not only is it located in the most beautiful part of Dorset, but the barn itself is beautifully decorated, and was extremely comfortable for the six of us. It has everything you need for a self-catered weekend/holiday and I would definitely go back again!

“A luxurious retreat in a splended corner of Hardy country”
Reviewed 3 August 2013 for a stay in June 2013

I spent a fantastic few days here in June 2013. The weather was magnificent, which certainly helped matters. Far from major towns and cities, this property is in a gorgeous part of Dorset I had not had the pleasure to visit before. The gently rolling countryside features many gems in walking distance - a river to swim in, big fields to play ball games in or just have a picnic, and an impressive fort.

The accommodation itself is outstanding. The beds are large and comfortable, and the kitchen exceptionally spacious and well equipped. It includes a large TV and wi-fi access. We cooked several meals for large groups here, and enjoyed eating them both inside and outside.

I would highly recommend this location to groups of friends, as well as families with children. It is a very, very nice property in an idyllic corner of England.

“Marvellous walks and stunning countryside”
Reviewed 9 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

The scenery is absolutely beautiful around here. The view from the top of the Iron Age forts is breathtaking and the rolling hills coupled with winding streams make for a great walks.
The property itself is in great knick and has a nice, modern, understated appeal, looking out over a lake and field of sheep in the distance. The beds were also so comfortable!
All this, helped along by a fantastic bout of weather made for a truly memorable getaway.

“An easter egg of a home nestled in beautiful countryside”
Reviewed 2 July 2013 for a stay in June 2013

We stayed in Chisel Barn Whites Ground for 3 nights, but I only wish it could have been longer. The interior is beautiful and cosy, while the views of the undulating countryside surrounding us were stunning. The kitchen is extremely well equipped; we managed to cook a hearty meal for over 8 hungry stomachs. There are many things to do in the surrounding area. If you are thinking of staying in the summer, I can strongly recommend hiking up to the iron age fort to enjoy the sunset with an ice cool beer. All the bedrooms are also spacious and I slept divinely in the king sized bed. 10/10.

“Amazing house set in beatiful countryside”
Reviewed 1 July 2013 for a stay in June 2013

I stayed here for a weekend in June 2013 and had a lovely time. It's a beautiful converted barn set in the middle of pcituresque countryside. Some great walks available, with superb views from the top of the nearby Iron Age fort, and a beautiful garden to relax in. The house itself is very well equipped and spacious. Would highly recommend this property to anyone .
