Amazing food, hospitality, warm welcome, traditional landlords, thoughtful and helpful. Both John and Rob made the weeks celebrations memorable whether our guests who were drinkers or teachers they were treated with kindness and consideration.
We both enjoyed the fine ales in particular the Adnams Light house, over the week we never had a bad pint. The buffet was delicious a mixture of Harissa chicken thighs,home-made sausage rolls, assorted filled ciabattas, mini cheeseboard including local cheeses to die for, extraordinary mini smoked meat board,Salad & Coleslaw (homemade),buttered new potatoes, sticky honey mustard chipolatas,Poached salmon fingers with dill creme fraiche and chesse biscuits. I would recommend this buffet whether for a small party of nine or twenty. The room downstairs, newly refurbished, was perfect the ability to play your own music. The flowers added a touch of individual style the room feel your own and like you were at home.
The garden is sheltered making it perfect for both young and old to sit in whether just enjoying a pint or a three course lunch.
All the staff were friendly and only too happy to help.My husband and I can't thank them enough for making our wedding week so special.More
